Yup, sure gonna miss her

RE: Why not to get married

Oh gosh. Maybe it is simpler here. The waiting period apart is 6 months. I earlier this year helped a friend go through the equivalent on her divorce. For a non-contested divorce with no children and both people living in VA, incompatibility is an acceptable reason. One makes application to the court for a divorce on a form. Here the other person has to appear before a notary public and sign his acknowledgment of the intent to divorce form. Once he/she has done that, the form is filed. I don't remember the cost (since it wasn't me getting a divorce, what'd I care?), but it wasn't much, maybe $200 or so. A decree of divorce comes soon after in the mail and that is that.

RE: The puzzled dilemma

Snooze, you lose is how the saying goes. Is it not possible seeing you and giving you a chance to be interested is the only reason she keeps coming back? Once, long ago, back when Unicorns roamed upstate NY, there was a woman I saw every day, but never said a romantic word to because I was shy. One day, after almost a year of seeing her daily I asked her out. She grew very upset and demanded to know why I had waited so long. It seems she had been single and available for many months of our meeting and turned down many in the expectation I would ask her out. I didn't (yet), so finally she accepted a date with someone else. Two days before I finally asked her out she had accepted a marriage proposal from the competition I had known nothing about. My lesson was learned the hard way. To yourself be true. Speak now, or forever hold your peace.

What is it you fear? Is your fear she will run screaming to everyone else in the small town saying don't go in that store? Is your business totally dependent on her patronage? If so, then a) rework your business plan and b) don't ask her out. If however the business will survive either way, speak from the heart, or start small as below.

If she comes in at the same time every day, call Dominoes tomorrow and arrange for a pizza delivery to arrive just at about the same time she does. Then offer her a slice. Accepted, this breaks some ice and you are eating together..

Afterwards maybe 2 or 3 days later, suggest a lunch tomorrow because you have some thoughts about her renovations and let that happen.

RE: what women want?

I think women (past the teen years) wish for a good job, a decent wage, a chance to buy things of their own, and at some point having a little fun and maybe meeting someone nice who also has a good life of their own and joining forces with them.

Too many here seem to think the woman puts getting a man first on their list. LoL, maybe back when there were no other options that was true. But in today's world? When you were 21 and single, which was higher on your must get list? A new car, or a wife and kids to support? Guess what? Today's woman has the same priority. The new car first, a husband and kids, ahh, maybe next year..

RE: Climate and global warming

Please name a prior decade in human history in which the fabled 'Northwest Passage' was open?

RE: WTF?

Okay. Now I feel dumb. Finally scrolled to the right and see you have many blogs here. Just somehow I missed them all. Mea Culpa (one of my favorite sayings here). I am reading them now and soon will know your insides. :)

RE: Still Single

4 oil wells producing 40,000 barrels a day of light sweet, 10 year ownership. Is good dowry.

RE: Give me back my phone!

I am glad you got it back. Your are lucky. Often we don't have a clue who took it. Check your bill if applicable. Make sure your phone was not used to buy a new Rolex watch with the cost added to your phone bill via auto billing. :)

RE: I AM NOT Mute ..!!!

Who do that?

RE: Filter your tap water

There is no downside. The water you drink should be as pure as possible with minimal daisy chaining of the molecules of H2O.

Each impurity requires a different test to detect and because there are millions of possible impurities, there are millions of tests. That can become ridiculously expensive for you. You need to test or worry about everything from lead, to pesticides, to medications someone flushed down a toilet and are now in your drinking supply as a result, to PCBs, and a zillion other things.

Should you care if your well water is full of Prozac, Haldol or Cyanide or lead? You may.

What is the downside to having a secondary charcoal filter? None at all. Is there probable benefit? Yes.

RE: YAY ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolute congratulations. We are told Ohio is one of the hardest hit (although it is bad everywhere), so I know how good that job feels. May you keep it for decades if desired. :)

50 ways to anger your girlfriend

I have in one relationship or another done all of them. In point of fact he found one or two I had missed, so I tried them out on my housemates tonight. laugh

GoDaniel, where you been guy? Half our culture speaks like that. Don't you spend any time with the other half?

D I V E R S I T Y even the language diverts.. LoL

RE: does still love exist ??

Dateadave has a valid point. Why not be the one to sometimes initiate the relationship with a person whose behavior you like, instead of hoping the shy guy initiates things?

RE: On watering cans, procrastination and other things

I am agreeing to think about thinking about it. After my 'staff' serves me breakfast and I assign them some more stuff to clean before taking my nap, I will take the nap and think about wondering if I am happy or what needs changing. It sounds like a lot of work though. I am intrigued by the concept of new experiences though.

RE: Your best teacher

Sometimes however we don't survive the mistake. laugh

RE: .........isn't it ......

Okay. If I understand your blog, you seek a petite Miss World type, who loves the idea of spending her life far away from the mainstream of humanity, trapped on a boat with only one person for company and quite happy to never have friends or ever go to a shopping mall or a fancy restaurant or do any of the other things she routinely did before she met you not ever again.

Although not mentioned, I am presuming a love of swimming and an immunity to becoming seasick would also be very helpful.

When eating by candlelight on this boat without electricity for the next 30+ years, will you insist the meals be raw fish too, or will there be a capability to at least cook food on the boat?

It is to me very strange that the millions of petite beautiful women on this planet are not engaging in a battle royale over who gets to live this life of non-luxury.

RE: Still Single

It is always a good idea to give a woman some alone time. Also good in reverse, men need that alone time too.

RE: .....REMEMBERING 9/11

If you refused to pay taxes, they would just increase the deficit to cover the loss that year and secure it with back tax collection even if it became necessary to seize assets. Enough folks join the military for a guaranteed income that many children would have deaf ears, see only the money, then happily hunt down the seditious in return for the bonuses and extra days off returning with the ears of the seditious has historically brought.

RE: You get force and resistance. Forceful people want

Please leave the gun at home.

RE: Thank you

You are welcome. :)

RE: Ireland is no country for the young

LoL, I know two Americans over 18 and under 30 who will be leaving this month for employment in other countries, so it is spreading (again).

RE: .....REMEMBERING 9/11

Steffffie, is not the same true of Pearl Harbor Day? Does mourning the men who died in their ship's bunks, somehow denigrate the millions who died in the resulting conflagration that naturally followed?

RE: What is more important belief or truth?

You are entitled to the opinion. No one can deprive you of it, however that does not mean anyone else will agree or support it. laugh
