The business of unions there. Gotta look a Philippine history. The word union doesn't have the connotation there it does here. I have no idea what a union is like in Bahrain. Point is some words have different connotations in different countries. In England Liberal is a party, here it is a way of thinking. In America Democrat is a party, to some elsewhere it is a philosophy and organizational operating methodology. I remember Marcos screaming about the trade unions. Communists he called them. Many church pastors in several countries were also Communist, or at least Communist sympathizers, back when there were such things. Marcos was an *sshole, but he had many followers. Sounds like the church wants to avoid connotation with the past. Or the union ban is a relic of the past. Someone got info?
One must wonder, based on prior observations of such, how many will still write him in jail professing love, and how many will send money to his account in jail.
I was looking at global numbers rather than by country by country. Although we won't be in a position to appraise the effect on global male:female populations for a few years yet, since China and India are the two largest countries, I am sure a shortage of females in those two countries will impact the global totals by whole percentage points.

Your company sends you to a new city to open up, or start, or work at a new office 8 days a month. Do you stay at the Holiday Inn every trip? Sometimes. But often you legitimately rent a second residence. Start keeping clothes and stuff there for when you aren't at home with your spouse and kids. You meet people. What happens then depends on how honest a person you are. Maybe you don't do anything wrong, maybe you do. Maybe you tell them the truth, maybe you see no point in that. Maybe you move in with them and stay there while in that city (but you also keep the second place you rented so the wife at home never gets suspicious). A third city, repeat the process. Whchever path you chose, honest & faithful, or not.

Well it is only right and proper for the cat to become the boss. Also they must approve all of your friends. The judgment of the cat is superior and 100% trustworthy. Speak not to any person your cat does not like. Be sure to place ladders a cat may safely climb to the top of any furniture or bookshelf. Etc.

I have a friend who just broke up with one of them. He had a job requiring travel. She thought she was his only one. LoL, not. I warned her a long time ago. She just found out she has been sharing him with women in several states. He actually had multiple cell phones to keep them separate. He'd arrive at one house, leave the other women's cell phones in the trunk and only carry his work phone and the current woman's phone inside. That meant she could search his phone for forbidden text and find nothing. LoL, one day he messed up and let my friend drive his car. She went into the trunk for something and found the other phones and turned them on and began reading. While doing so texts from the other women came in. Some conversations ensued and lord knows who the man is staying with these days. Suffice to say I know for sure one place he has been chopped from. She now talks (co-miserates) with two of the others in other states, so he probably ain't there either.
Bring him upstairs, an old towel or blanket for a nap place, a tray of sand for a bathroom, and a bath, and if he agrees to live with you, your flies, spiders and mice should disappear.
For the most part, for the past 400 years or so, the women don't go to war. That's changing of course, but it durn sure left a shortage of males right after WW1 and 2.

It is, as LouLou implies, so much less stressful when your hospital stay and all of the ancillary expenses of a broken leg or hip from a tumble down a flight of stairs are pre covered by the insurance you took out before the trip even began.
