LoL, at last the mystery is revealed. In grade school we had to say it as XY AND Z. The & symbol was on the chart, but it was never described as being part of the alphabet. We were told it meant and, but we were never told why it was on the alphabet chart.
I used to hate it when it rained so hard I couldn't see the hood of my car and the headlights were just bright spots in the rain.
We still have the prison work crews here in this county too. They came by just the other week picking up the trash on the road with a sheriff's deputy standing nearby with a pump gun and another one in the truck. Orange jump suits for them here.
LoL, the sad reality is some ladies do like that (a lot) and respond in kind almost at once. So yes, he lost you. However if he says it to ten more ladies, at least one does come running to see what else he may like. Many males have observed this phenomena which is of course exactly why some say those things all the time.
I think the most promising cancer research is in the genetically modified T-cell research. Of course if it becomes a standard thing and cancer deaths vanish, what will we replace those deaths with? We can't have everyone being immortal. Only those who are of the right bloodlines should get that, or so they will say..
I fear soon I will have to get a job again and go back to work. I more or less stopped working about 5 years ago because I didn't see the point, but now with money running low I fear I shall have to seriously enter the work force again. I am trying to decide what I want to be this time around. I am torn between running for Congress or sweeping floors. Both seem equally fulfilling.
Luke, the US standard for most things used to be 1/4" and 9/16". I can pretty much totally disassemble an entire old time International or John Deere engine with just those two sockets.
Sometime in the 1970s it seems to have become the 'in thing' for design engineers to change the bolt head size as often as possible. Of course this is the same mind set that believes 'repair by owner' is evil, compared to bringing it to a franchised service center or buying a new machine for no good reason. So it makes sense things be made by them as hard for an owner to repair as possible.
Extensive reading last night on these Chinese pull cord motors. I may pick up a few in the 8 HP range. Certainly lower cost the the Briggs and Strattons (which aren't really made in America anymore anyway), and based on my experience with this one, easy enough to maintain. I can''t tell if the Kohler XT series actually is the Chinese Predator brand or is one a clone of the other? Who knows? Noticing they both retail for about the same price. In any case what sits on my Cub Cadet is clearly a Predator under a yellow casing labeled Cub Cadet.
Avias - Yes, I remember. I have no problems with any of my Kohler motors and there are a few around here.
My problems have been with Poulan. Specifically their chain saws. I have had two and am done with that brand. Both units literally melted under steady use. Clearly Poulan envisions a consumer who chain saws 10 minutes and is done, not someone cutting down a forest and running the unit for hours on end. I am sure your Kohler motor will not be the cause of any problems on your new mower. You know you have a one year manufacturer's warranty in the US on anything you buy new here. So I forsee no problems for at least 366 days. :)
RE: tired
Why not make a video about you and put it up here?
