We both sides in it. The Dr. didn't give up on Morgan and pulled his head our of the doom and gloom, but when Morgan tried to return the message of hope to the Wolf member, it was a waste of time. So sad.
Frankly I expect the presence of 'illegal' guns to outrace the changes in European laws. Charlie and the train incident prove the larger illegal weapons are leaking into Europe in spite of the many (useless) laws to prevent that.
We, in the US, see the same thing happening in Puerto Rico where the 8 speedboats of the US Customs and the Border Patrol are kept busy trying to interdict the guns and drugs flowing into the island. With only 5 or 6 small boats to patrol the whole coast of an island 135 miles long and 35 miles long, broken out over a 24 hour day, much slips by in thousands of small boats coming and going. The result is a growing push to legislation to legalize defensive weapons on that island. With land borders and the focus being on counting refugees I would imagine a great deal of all kinds of merchandise is sliding by in trucks and cars determined to not have hitchhikers. How soon public awareness of the reality will raise has yet to be determined.
She has watched the video and is eager to try it, but she thinks her butcher knife is too big. No problem. I have anticipated this and brought along one of my Busse Active Duty knives for her to use.

We plan the dinner. She has no cranberry sauce (oh my, she has never even tasted it. LoL, next project). So we decide Libby's Spanish Rice, some Green Giant broccoli. Then after a refresh of the video she sets to the task with me over looking. Yes, I tried to do it for her, but she kept chasing me away, so it was mostly her.
They have no turkey in her native country, but they do have goose and duck and many times as a young girl she helped momma with those. Still since this is her first encounter with a turkey so I was ready to assist. My goodness, she did perfect. The end product looks just like the video. We wash up and make a fantastic dinner. Fried in butter then with BBQ sauce. Kids come by doing the trick or treat thing and there is a big bowl of candy ready for them. This is also the first time ever since arriving in America she has been home (instead of working) on a Halloween night. She loves the concept of the little costumes and some are quite good. I learn of a similar holiday in Nepal, but there the kids block off the paths with string and travelers pay a candy toll so the kids will let down the string for the travelers to pass. The meal is done and her candy stash is running low so we turn the front porch light off at around 7. Her BF is still sleeping (he works nights driving the big rigs), but she wakes him up for dinner and he joins us for taste, then goes back to bed. After dinner we watch a reality show about some guys that build fancy aquariums for a living, then around 9 or 10 I depart for home.
I give the cats who patiently waited a fresh can of cat food, let them out and check in at CS, then call it a night and let the cats back in. It was cold outside by then and they had not much interest in lingering outside vs sitting by the heater.
I think the rest of the turkey flock got the message. I hear nothing today. That's okay. Today is the first day of muzzle loading deer season and there has been a nice 8 pointer I have had my eye on for the past month..
I truly love living in this part of the US. Sportsman's dream country. I wish all of you could experience it. For me it has been a laid back kind of existence. Some good times with some good people. Weirdly there only a few songs about this part of the world. This song from 1913 about this area is one of my favorites and superbly performed here by Laurel * Hardy in this 1937 movie. <who suspected they could sing?>
The other side of it is most countries have immigration policies. Unless you are Syrian most of us don't get to just say I am going to move to country X tomorrow and do so. Normal folk have to apply for a Visa of a fixed duration then prove to the host country that keeping so and so as an immigrant citizen would be profitable and to their benefit. Lots of paperwork and immigration paperwork to read and comply with.
I am also noting you didn't specify which Ireland. Northern or Southern? There are some differences.

I hate this because it is a truth. Guns used to be perfectly legal to carry on airliners. What stopped it one day was an airline luggage handler who was being fired. He knew the dismissal was coming so he decided his life was over and he would hurt the airline too. Like a certain suicidal pilot he decided that while standing in line at the Pearly Gates he should not stand alone. So he bought a ticket at the employee discount rate and with his .44 magnum pistol strapped to his side he got onboard. When the plane was aloft he walked to the front of the plane and executed the pilot, the co-pilot and the navigator (a 3rd pilot many planes used to carry in the days before Loran and GPS). Down went the airplane, and when the autopsy showed what happened, up came the new law prohibiting wearing a gun onto the airplane.
Life is dangerous and scary. That is an intentional part of the program. I am very sure God and the Angels all watch the Walking Dead episodes and wish they had thought of it first. Perhaps on another canvas someday. Meanwhile they watch us and laugh.

My understanding is good and evil are the same thing. Only God has the knowledge to differentiate them as only he knows the whole plan.
