His passing yesterday makes me very sad. He was my favorite living musician. Only yesterday I was actually thinking of you tubing tonight because I suddenly realized it had been over a year since I had heard of him doing any new performances or releasing anything new.
He was 69 years old. The cause of death was cancer. I just learned tonight he had been battling it for over a year.
I am now wondering if my suddenly thinking of him and how I hadn't seen anything new from him was pure coincidence or had I somehow felt a tragic change in the Universe.
He was a very talented musician as well as a great voice. In my younger days I had been to some of his concerts and had several of his albums. His Ziggy Stardust was a classic of my youth. He was also one of those rare musicians who could walk into a music store and very well play any kind of instrument they may have in stock, from sitar to violin, from piano to guitar.

Actually I wouldn't be too sure about no gators being in Tenn. I say this because this year there were 4 separate instances of gators being found in VA. One as far North as Loudoun County, one in Frederick County, one in Bath County and one way down in Bedford County. Those are just the ones I noticed in the news. There may have been others. The Earth is getting warmer and those critters go a walking. So look for old logs before jumping in the pond in Tenn.

There was a woman staying here once whose boyfriend had upped and left her alone with her daughter. One day from her mother he learned she was staying with me. He came by while I was at work and persuaded her to please let him take his little girl to McDonald's just for a little while and she consented. Very sadly she agreed.
He then disappeared with the child. County Sheriff deputies when called later that afternoon advised that because he was the child's father and because there had never been a court custody hearing, his taking of his daughter was perfectly legal and all she could do was hope that someday he re-established contact.
Needless to say this had profound impact on the woman and although she later regained contact with her child, she never was really right after that.

The true recipe for mead was lost over 1,000 years ago. Lots of folks claim to have rediscovered it, but how would anyone know? That being said, mead did contain honey. It was however described as being more beer like than wine like. Presumably carbonated.
Your recipe is okay, but I would add some yeast (and more sugar for the yeast to eat). Some feel the natural yeast on the fruit's skin is enough. However I boil the fruit and the water first (then let it cool). So I need my yeast added as sterilizing it all kills the natural yeast on the fruit's skin.
Some folks brought me a big pre cooked ham last Sunday. I started on it that Monday. I have hand and eggs for breakfast, ham sandwich for lunch, and ham with potatoes or sweet potatoes and greens every dinner. It has been that way all week. I think I have about 3 more days of ham to go. The good news is my cat is not tired of ham yet. He too gets ham 3 meals a day this week. :)
I have no need to cook. Visitors brought hams and potatoes and greens and pies and all that stuff earlier. Little Herby and I will be having ham every meal for a week I am sure.
But there are several I like. Must I hurt some by naming only one? I am thinking since there are multiple time zones, if I visit 3 hours apart I could be rested and ready and all 4 would be happy on Christmas Day. Is that not the best? Now, I need to borrow Santa's sleigh since he finished his run this morning, so that I can go from house one to house two in only a second or three. I will bring red ribbons with me.
