RE: Vlog with Guest Narration

Well done.

I have played with several of the purchase type video makers, but after much comparison I decided Windows Movie Maker is probably one of the better all around ones. Biggest flaw I see with WMM is it lacks a contrast control button, but it does have brightness control. Beyond that when combined with the tools on U tube it does very well IMO.

Norway voted no to the EU twice. Some in England are hoping for a second vote. So there is precedent for Ireland doing a second referendum and maybe this time pulling out.

LoL if Greece or Spain or Italy pull out. If they really think about it they should/would. laugh

RE: He's cute but he works for retail...

A silly thought and part of why I no longer bother to date the women in their early 20s because as the above shows, many aren't thinking clearly yet and their mind is still muddled.

It is the job of the life partner to help the male succeed. She is supposed to provide the home support so he is free to focus on improving their life. [About role reversal, before you ask, dream on.] You also no nothing from a glance about who the man is. How do you know he does not own the store? How do you know he is not from a wealthy background and working retail only because his parents wish him to? How do you know from the glance what his dreams and aspirations are?

As you and someone else said, he is good looking, AND he has a job. Instantly he jumps to the head of the line to someone thinking clearly.

Capitalist class? rolling on the floor laughing Are you a Communist? (A totally failed concept.) Did you learn the word Capatalism from a speech? LIFE IS capitalism. You either take and eat the food, or you become food. There is no middle ground.

We wonder what kind of a job (if any) you yourself have that you feel lofty enough to prejudge someone based on their own job? With the attitude you display here, if you came to me for a job, but I had read this blog, no, I would have no interest in hiring such a narrow minded person. I am sure I am not alone in that.

Are you sure you aren't really Hillary Clinton writing under a pseudonym?

RE: Dark energy/matter

Itchy, Google 'Ward Spell'.

Of course the barrier is only as strong as the energy available to fuel the spell. Also important is to throw blocks up not just to the compass points but through time as well. You want to seal off entering yesterday and hanging around, while also setting an end date. If the end date is years away, then of course more energy is needed for the spell so it won't grow weak with time.

I am not really sure that strays into magic even though that is where the terminology is most easily found. Something physical I suspect, but on a level we can't see is all.

Your comment is noted. Agreed. Problem is many things not easily seen have been when seen labeled as Angels, Demons, Devils, etc. when actually they are none of that. It is obvious, since some have even been 'caught' on surveillance video we share this world with many things not often seen.

A Cub Scout follows Akela

Oh gosh the world has changed so much. I remember during recess the teachers encouraging us to play cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians. Teaching us basic oragami, how to make a paper gun that would make a 'Snap' sound when we shook it. I remember being told to not fire off my cap pistol inside the school in 1st Grade.

Now this week a court has opined that a school was well within it's rights to suspend from school a second grader. His crime? Eating a Pop Tart into the shape of a gun (an L) and pointing it at another student.

It is a felony crime today in the US to bring a gun onto a school property, but I remember in Junior High I remember the seniors kids showing up with their hunting rifles and shotguns during deer hunting season and not taking the bus home so they could deer hunt while walking home. 5 or 6 of them with rifles and ammo in the coat closet in back of the class. In HS (same one Donald T went to) we had issued 03s with bayonets we kept in our rooms and riflery practice after class had higher favor than football practice. No one misused anything. Our former HS Superintendent just passed this week. Great man Mr. Dobias was. Dropped out of the school during WW2 to go fight early in 42. Did a complete tour with the Big Red One. Saw the elephant and punched the elephant silly too. After Discharge at the end of the War the school urged him to come back and get his HS degree and he did. Then he went to college, then came back to the school as an advisor, teacher and later Superintendent. R.i.p Major D. You have earned it and I salute you and all of the many like you.

Causes of woes today are complex and varied. But gee, sometimes I miss the old days. This cub scout knife is not the one I lost of course. But it is close enough (identical really) so it makes no difference. Just holding it brings back memories of my little yellow cub scout scarf with the sliding clasp, my little blue * yellow Cub Scout cap, my first day camps, rides at Freedomland, Den mothers and long, long lost friends of yore, the junk man with his horse drawn cart and the ice man bringing the neighbors big blocks of ice he carried with tongs.

Ah, these days I carry a locking Leatherman. More useful with the pliers. But the CS knife was a classic and a good jackknife too.

It helps when you 'work for the UN towards forld peace' (ROTFLMAO when I read that one) and talk on the phone to CS every other day. Or so we were told.

We know we get a steak knife set for blogs with 100 posts, but I was wondering, what is the reward for having 100 blogs frozen or deleted by the mods?

RE: What is happening in our beautiful country? Orlan

Well the joke is Omar was a registered Democrat gun owner. He voted in the Florida primary which means he supported someone other than Donald. LoL

Semsu there are a lot of folks here who claim to be Christian, but in reality they never sat down and fully read their Bible. They ignore the tens of thousands of people who died in the 100 years war just so Martin Luther could get them a Bible of their own so they wouldn't have to blindly follow whatever BS a priest told them was in the Bible when it wasn't. They let Lay preachers who have memorized only a few good sounding paragraphs tell them what the Bible (or the Koran) says, but take the trouble to actually sit down and read the book? Ha. Not our Christians. They would rather watch a youtube video than open the Book (s) than open the book themselves.

That reading and understanding the entire book is a requirement before they can first profess to be Christians has not been taught to them.

Of other religions they only know what youtube fakirs and psychiatric basket cases tell them. Not one in 8 of the Christians here even knows what a Hadith is, much less their importance in understanding the Quran. Maybe one in 50 (if not less) has been open minded or inquisitive enough to read Surah 3 (in my Saudi version) and gain a knowledge of where Jesus fits into the Muslim faith. Much easier to believe You Tube's claim Jesus is not mentioned in the Quran than seek out truth.

Pfui. Cast not perals on the ground before such viewers.

RE: Eating Weird stuff

It has already been proven in the lab that plants feel something akin to pain and if you hurt one plant, the one next to it will cringe when you approach it too. They communicate by spinning the iron molecules in their cells which generates a weak VLF radio signal which nearby plants react to. I this fashion an entire forest will curl their leaves when a storm reaches the first plant and it signals the arrival of rain or strong wind. Pain too as described and they definitely react to fire on a nearby plant. So do not presume that because they have no vocal cords or CNS they are any less aware or a life form than you are. Everything has a soul, even a plant and we are but their wardens.

Prayers and condolences for all persons

Hi LonelyLass. Yeah I noticed that. The good news is I lose the wind about the time the shooting begins. Technically that is a Remington Rolling Block. Specifically the Light Baby Carbine variant, although as the below photo implies there is nothing 'baby' about it. Over 50 countries military used the Rolling Blocks. Even the army of the Papacy was armed with Rolling Blocks. A 19th century single shot, black powder weapon, they were reliable and robust enough that some soldiered on through World War One and even in World War Two some saw limited rear echelon use. As late as th 1970s they were still being encountered in conflict zones in the hands of one side or another. They also saw broad use in the American West in the time frame before lever actions dominated and were a popular arm for hunting buffalo. Well over a million were made by Remington and they were copied as well by a half dozen manufacturers. Even today at least two Italian firms still make copies for sporting use. Mine was made for the military of Uruguay in 1888. It was originally in 44-40 caliber, but sometime after 1902 when Uruguay surplused them off when they decided to get 7mm rifles instead, it was rechambered for the metric 11.15x54mm which is a much more potent load holding 68 grains of black powder, vs the earlier load with 40 grains. Also the new chambering is more versatile as it will safely load and fire just about any smaller 44 shell including 44 Magnum, the earlier 44-40 and all the way down to 442 Webley. In 1902 the re-chambering potentially allowed the owner in a pinch to use the same bullet in his rifle as he had in his pistol.

I believe that covers the topics the wind noise droned out. A second video covering the velocity of different pistol bullets through the carbine is plznned but not yet filmed.

RE: Usa, Muslim and Mourning

Well when you say all the USA, you need to understand that to many of my generation whose friends, neighbors or family did go and serve when their draft notice came, sometimes coming home okay and some never seen again, no matter how the politically charged court case went, to us, no matter how ABC television, Pay For View, Gene Kilroy or Don King (add in the other names that made money off the hoopla) felt or feel about it, he will never be more than a draft dodger who got away with it while other, less cowardly men bled or died in his place.

I just read a long thing about it. The mom is still having favors being done. Their daughter became a province governor. Their secretary is a Senator, etc. Slowly but surely the old clique is coming back to power. There are still over 100 metric tons of gold missing and payments to momma dear keep being intercepted. When she is gone, by then the daughter will be in a better position, etc.

RE: The killing of a Gorilla, justified? or not?

Len - you are correct. The wall is just a warning. It is the landmines and the snipers one should worry about.

RE: The killing of a Gorilla, justified? or not?

What instant? They waited 20 minutes. No one asked the keeper. Instead the Zoo Director called the Zoo's Lawyers. They made the decision and he relayed to the guards standing by.

As no less than Jane Goodall observed there is no aggression being displayed in the videos. The gorilla did what we would. Ran to the child that fell in, evaluated it's condition, then hauled it away from the deep water. Then when more humans crowded the fence in that area he dragged the kid to the other end and waited for the keeper to come and tell it what to do. Note this was not a wild gorilla. This was a 17 year old gorilla raised in captivity by humans. Would you shoot your neighbors dog if it hauled your child out of the water but didn't bite it? The gorilla was murdered because the lawyers feared what it might do, not because it did do. Gorillas are intelligent. The other gorillas there saw what happened. Trust me. Next time they will let the kid drown.

The Mom has an alleged history of bad judgment involving her kids. Charge her with negligence and be done with it.

RE: Is time speeding up, or is it just me?

The temporary chronal abnormalities you have noticed were caused by a gravitational wave passing nearby. As the object causing the distortion moves further away time will begin to slow again. The dilation of chronal flux should be complete by 2230 Earth time.

RE: Mail Order Husband

I will stop by the local jail today and post your ad for you. Many of the men there and their friends not yet caught would seem to meet most of your criteria. One or two may need a little help getting the ticket to Jordan (is it okay if they sneak across the border?), but that seems trivial compared to all of your other requirements. Is it okay to put your contact info and some of your more famous photos on the flyer?
