Also the passengers and crew don't get the training in new techniques, nor are they given the latest in restraint technology. The crews job is flying the plane. That they get training in. I remain open to the possibility that is exactly what those who released the virus wanted to know. Do the humans have a global response plan in place? In all honesty we still don't. The test run was a success and the way is clear to release a 'virus of consequence' rather than the minor 'virus of concern' we are dealing with.
That said I also remain open to the possibility it was an accidental release by a US or French based military contractor and transported to Wuhan as China claims during the Wuhan military games. I specify France or the US because exhumations in both countries of people who supposedly died of pneumonia well before the virus emerged in China found Covid19 in bodies in both France and the US of people who had died in the early fall. So it is not as simple as blame China.
No enforceable law in the US prohibits making a virus on private property. There are over 200 labs in the US rated as having P4 level containment where it could be done somewhat safely. There are literally thousands of other labs in the US that have the equipment to make a virus of their own, but no containment capability. Indeed all of the equipment needed from electron microscopes on down is available for by Internet purchase and can be delivered legally and installed in a private home. Gosh only knows how many other places in South America, Canada or Europe also have the capability to make a new virus.
Meanwhile the US will probably not get mandatory vaccination orders. It does not serve the Democrat need. Most of the people in the US who died of Covid this past week were Republicans and none of them had the vaccine.

It was nicer than simply killing her when she went for the door release. I think the closest person to reach her just didn't know how to quickly kill barehanded. It is okay. Most of the deaths are and will be the ones not vaccinated. When I used to fly after 911 every time they made me take my shoes and socks off at the metal detector. I finally got tire of it and stopped wearing shoes to the airport. No I never went to flip flops, but I started to. Then I was like, what if I have to go on stairs or worse, run for my life? So I just went with sneakers and no socks. Coming back they did not make me remove my sneakers. So disappointed I haven't flown since then.
I think the mistake is imagining there is another side. There is no reason at all for the virus to suddenly wink out of existence now that it has been well established it can survive outside a laboratory environment. So there is no getting to the other side of the pandemic. Every piece of mail in your mail box, every thing you touch from a store if bought recently (within the past 3 months), every person you talk to, every stitch of clothing you wear that someones breath brushed against, every thing you buy at the deli, your chicken from the KFC, your dog when he comes in. your cat, your child home from school, the virus can be lurking on any of them waiting for you to touch it, or breath it in, or ingest it. It is what viruses do. If there are enough of them taken in by you (the number is imprecise and varies depending on the individual and circumstances) then either your immune system gets over run or they slide by and start killing your cells one by one. The beautiful thing about this virus is because it is new it initially triggers no response from your immune system. Your internal border patrol can't see them! UNLESS of course, you had the vaccine and or have had the virus before but survived. The vaccine provides an instruction set to your T cells and they pass the information on to your killer cells. The same thing happens if you survive an infection. Our marvelous T cells collect fragment, and keep a record of that invader's attributes then notifiy your future white blood cells so they know to kill it. But no past infection, no antibodies, no vaccine to force your T cells to make antibodies? The raider is invisible to your defenses and sooner or later you are about to be pillaged, and maybe burnt too. RIP
Those who do not want or trust the vaccine should not get it. I ask only that you name me in your will as the proper inheritor of your money and possessions.
Well let's watch the death rates in the countries with no vaccine available to the populace and compare deaths per 1000 infected to those infected in countries with the vaccine. Hmm in one group of countries the death rate is 3 times as high. However he is blaming the wrong culprits I suspect. I agree this was a test run to see if our technology would be able to fiind and distribute a cure fast enough to make a difference if a really serious 'virus of consequence' is released. I think we failed the test and have proven ourselves very vulnerable. Luckily this first virus is merely 'a virus of concern' and not a virus of consequence.
The black death was an infection of consequence. Covid19 is not. Yet. Future variations may be, but probably only for the not vaccinated.
What you miss is 95.5% each time a person gets it. The virus will never vanish and each person can catch it again every 6 months to a year. So if you live to age 99 and first get it as a new born, if you live long enough it WILL kill you eventually. Viruses never vanish. There are some running around today that began killing before T Rex walked the planet. Eventually if a superb vaccine is not found it will get everyone. It may take 10,000 years, but that is okay. The Virus (and it's makers) are in no hurry.
US law requires FB and some other social media sites to keep files available for FBI retreival for a certain period of time. The account may become invisible to everyone outside of FB HQ, but with the right subpoenas the FBI can resurrect the information. Noting also both the phone companies, the cable companies and the Russian FSB and the NSA also have copies of everything ever done on the Internet.
Several times in the past decade when it becomes publicly known a Blogger has died and the mods get a copy of the obituary and confirm the identity their blogs and account get shut down. I have seen it happen. We have had some very personable members die over the years and those of us who knew them miss their presence here and off line.
