RE: Smoking banana peels.

I am told you will like the high more if you drink a tall glass of vinegar first.

RE: What Makes A Good Blog and A Blogger ?

Too late Angel. Most of it is already fixed.

RE: I Need your Help To Save A Fellow Blogger

LJ I don't understand. Back in the days when you said all Muslims should be killed, you were also stating you talked to the moderators here about stuff (while also working 'for' the UN and world peace on the forums). Have they since changed their phone number?

RE: Do you carry a knife?

Very rarely, and if it was that unsafe, how would a mere knife help? I am not counting the Leatherman on my belt because it is more pliers and bottle opener than knife, and self defense with the 2 inch blade would be really silly.

Scaring spirits

The ancients believed that pure iron nearby could offer protection against night time visitors as described. The hard part is rousing enough to touch the iron implement.

Scaring spirits

Yes, that place. I like it there. Sometimes I spend hours there (I think). There is much to ponder and absorb there. I also find I sleep better if I spend some time there just looking around and listening to whatever comes.

Now where Socrates giving it a high sounding name fits in with the woman thing that fled when she realized I could see her, I am not sure. dunno

Scaring spirits

Well I was wondering how many would confirm similar experiences and thus far most (including those here communicating off line) have. Hmm, I didn't use a sword. Instead I fed a dragon a couple of apple strudels and they were very good so he started hanging around at sleep time and I think that scared the other things away for years. Eventually, perhaps because I no longer lived near that bakery, the dragon stopped being there too. Yes everything has names. I am sure there is even a name for the tendency to wish to name everything. laugh

Yes, of course there is more. I absorb many things during the quiet introspection before sleep. I used to amaze my wife when I talked to the birds in our yard and woods because they would answer my whistles and come to the window to gossip. It scared her a little I think when after a few minutes of whistle conversing with the birds I told her some gossip about party in a neighbor's yard a few days earlier and a day later she learned the birds may have whistled truths that I understood. It is more than just the whistle noise of course. There is stance, and sub tones and warbles, and how the feathers ruffle and posture. Each has a meaning. We are hampered talking to the birds because we have no tail of feathers to display and of course almost a third of their verbs are hidden in feather posture and head movements. For a bird talking to most humans is like a human trying to discuss a football game with a guinea pig. After awhile without anything but gibberish and blank looks in reply they give up and fly away. But of course how much matters is variable.

RE: My Cat is Growing Up...

RE: Farmer

What do you wish to know? For the money, LONG tractors may be the best buy these days, but Kubotas are okay if you like plastic and stampings.

RE: The people of New Hampshire has spoken

Hi LouLou. Oh, I forgot to mention, Donald probably doesn't have the American Muslim vote either. innocent

In fact demographics wise, what he has is mostly 40+ year old White, conservative, Protestants of lower middle class. We agree that 75+ years ago that would give him 65% of the popular vote. That was then. Today, with minorities and females voting that's what? 42% of the possible vote? A vote for Trump is a vote wasted.

RE: The people of New Hampshire has spoken

Since Trump has almost none of the Hispanic vote,, none of the black vote, none of the liberal vote, and very few of the saner female vote he can't win and his presence dooms the Republicans as the Democrats do have those things.

RE: Does patience pays off..

RE: "IM GOIN SOLO"

There are lots of homeless women in America. Some use borrowed cellphones or libraries to keep a CS account alive I am sure. I figured probably one of those. 59 years old, no teeth, sneakers with holes. Obviously seen better days so your truck is a palace. laugh

Now begins the shoveling out of the driveway.

RE: The Open Mind

One can not predict where someone is going without knowing where they have already been. So maybe instead of learning how they perceive us or the world, we should instead learn about the things they have done or accomplished. Only then should we look into their future plans.

RE: "MAYBE".."ONE DAY"

I found a little island for sale off the coast of Bermuda, complete with buildings, water treatment plant, docks, swimming pool, tennis courts, etc. It was for sale for only 74 million dollars. I asked some female friends if I won that big Powerball if they would come live with me there. All of them looked at the brochure and said absolutely, even if they had to share me. So I was envisioning toes in the water, etc.

Sadly I didn't win last time. Well not much anyway. I did hit for $8 but I really was planning on the bigger win. Sigh, someday..

I have turned my dragon on for a few hours. That'll boost the heat inside enough to turn the electric heat off for a while.

RE: "EXPECTING THE UNEXPECTED"

I stand corrected at the hour she was jogging. She has now had 8 heart operations.
