So it was changed in the 80s, but you write you have been with them for 41 years and this is 2014. So before the change, obviously you went along with the program or you wouldn't have been a member in the pre-change days.
BTW, the definition of slander doesn't fit your use of it. Before one can say things slanderous, they must be untrue. When they are true and accurate, they aren't slander. The history of The Family is both well known and also publicly documented on dozens of websites (also some court records too).
Doesn't/wouldn't matter. It happens every year no matter what is tried. Sooner or later there is a December 25 again. Perhaps if someone designed and someone in authority approved a new calendar, one where the day is just skipped over, so we go from 24 to 26 with nothing in between.. But how do we convince the great unwashed to accept a new numbering system?
My life is what it is. Women are a feast or a famine here. They come they go. Some not very far, some very far. None of them are older than me anymore. Several are 2 or 3 decades younger. I find the libido responds better to young than it does to old and without the libido what else is there?
One is supposed to care about people who care about them.
I think her text about the only thing she wants for Xmas is sweet. I am like Awww. Which of course doesn't help me with the Xmas list. :(
I am thinking of rehabing one of the old platform type rocking chairs in my attic. It'd look nice in her new place's living room. There's a spot it would go good in..
Well Shea Stadium was my first choice, then I realized so many CS accounts haven't been her in so many years, maybe a much smaller place would hold everyone. Someplace half the size of a McD perhaps. Nam has a motorcycle so he could go pick up Mimi and Kal..
Not every young person you meet in the real world and actually get a relationship with is there for money. LoL, you may not even have any. Sometimes the youngster has way more money and is the one buying YOU the meal. Those are the ones 'worth' keeping. Too bad they are so rare.
I do not understand what being an Atheist has to do with opening (and giving) nice gifts and eating good meals. Okay he may not believe in the event, or it's significance, but why not enjoy the occasion. Atheist or not, there are some very good renditions of Christmas music out there. Also some awesome to behold spectacles at some pageants. Even if I was an Atheist (call me an agnostic leaning towards Arinism instead) I would recognize Xmas at the Vatican, or Saint Patrick's Cathedral or Notre Dame Cathedral or even the Mormon Salt Lake City Tabernacle is an awesome place to go on Christmas Day.
Gadzooks! Atheist or not, I would just sit there and enjoy it. You don't have to believe to admire the art and the music.
And Christmas dinners!!! I love to cook almost as much as I love to eat. Bring on those turkeys and hams. Bring on the roasted pig complete with the apple in his mouth. Where is the knife and the fork? How on Earth does a refusal to believe in God translate to not liking to eat well at a feast?
<Side note, I wonder what are the Christmas dinners like in other lands where turkey and ham are not available? What substitutes? Can I have a plate to try please?>
I see you are in Thailand. Abroad means many different places depending on where one is at the start. What land are you guys going to?
Well you (hopefully) hit a point in your life where all of the dreams, goals and aspirations you had when in your 20s have been accomplished. You have traveled the world. Seen the Taj Mahal, looked at both Mount Everest and the Eiffel Tower, been to the top of the Empire State Building, ran a small corporation or dabbled in politics, written a few books, designed a better car, and just about all you could want is already done. But you still have 20 - 40 years to go. What now?
Find a cutie who you can be with till then, seems like a cool way to spend those decades IMO.
LoL, decades ago, when I was really new to farm living, I had the bright idea it would help my crops to have ladybugs. I had no idea if my land already had them, so I decided to be sure.
From a Gurney's catalog I ordered a few thousand ladybugs. They came in a little bag. I went outside the house and shook about 50,000 out of the bag.
With hindsight, I should have gone much further away from the house. Yes, my fields now had lady bugs. Over the next few days so did the inside of the house. We must have vacuumed up hundreds of them that first year. Wifey was a little annoyed. Nothing like having ladybugs on your dinner plate. LoL
For the next 20 years we cope(d) with occasional lady bugs in the house.
We had similar experiences with the praying mantis egg cases that came in the same shipment. Next time, if this property ever runs out of either one, I will know to go further away from the house.
It is true. We never know the time chosen for someone else to vanish. Very sadly sometimes we miss the opportunity to fix things or just enjoy them while they are here.
Yep, shall issue. Where VA is better than Texas though is you can go that way if you want. However VA law says without a permit, as long as you don't conceal it, no law is broken. If you conceal it though you will need the permit. Wear it openly, and no permit is required. Also we allow machine guns and other toys.
So we should give it to soldiers so they won't get all weepy at collateral casualties. In fact if we all take it, we won't marriages, or to worry about the kids, or grandma, or churches even. Hey, this could be great.
I will instead ask what scripture quote are you basing your claim that there will be different classes of souls in Heaven on? They way I am reading Revelations, you all of us will be judged. Those who died without knowing of Jesus will be judged solely by their works. Those without good works will suffer the second death. (not torment, but death, because the word DEATH is what is used. Then those of the second judging will be judged based on if they accepted Jesus. That's it. Nothing in those lines says, well if you accepted Jesus, and you also did good works you get two points. That is because accepting Jesus REQUIRES doing good works or at least the intent to (i.e., Batrabas on the next cross over, had no time to, but his soul was accepted into Heaven before Jesus'). So everyone there who accepted Jesus did good works (or had the intent if not the circumstances), so where do you find scripture alleging ranks of anything other than Cherubim and Seraphim? And really nothing about what little we see of those ranks implies one is more favored than the other, just that their jobs/assignments are different.
Yes, I concede there was an old man in the OT who vanished while walking with God and now is with the Lord. That does not imply his soul is exalted over that of the people who will be judged worthy to enter God's wife (the city).
Again if you have an actual scripture (versus a labeling of someone as a saint by a human church) showing some souls will be more favored in Heaven than other souls also in Heaven, I would like to see the quote.
Sweetest thing
Ian, they wash their paws in the sink. They are much cleaner therefore than many restaurant workers who need signs to remind them.
