What a very thoughtful and great topic here. I have seen many of these traits in action with marriages that resulted in divorce. Unfortunately, many of these character defects are more prevalent today and are only going to increase in the future. Take a look at today's divorce rate....not to mention the growing rate of mental illness. Something tells me the idea of marriage in the future is going to be a rare thing.

I have always has a fascination and curiosity about that question since a child. It would be very difficult to believe we are alone in this vast space we float in. It is so big, we have yet to even figure out its size.

I have listen to many people with their so called knowledge of aliens. Some have said there are three different species working today with the U.S. government, while I have others say that there have been over 70 different species that have visited the Earth. Also, many "experts" claim that some species are friendly with Earth while other species are not.

I do not think there is any exclusive link between intelligence and getting married. However, there are several reasons why people get married. One of those reasons may be because one may find the other intelligent and love them for that. Then, you have the countless other reasons why people get married: personality, style, physical attributes, money....etc.

The bottom line, you do NOT have to be intelligent to get married. :)

I am never for war. But, it seems as if my opinion didn't count with the recently missiles being fired.

What most concerns me is what Russia warned against to the U.S.. If I am not mistaken, they said we better get the backing of the UN before we do any sort of attacks. I do not follow politics closely. But, as far as I know, the US never got the backing from the UN....not sure though. I hope for our sake, we did.

Well....I suppose we will see where this takes us in the future.

Thank you for sharing this. I have seen similar statements made by men. The only thing is, when a man states this, he is labeled as "frustrated" or something similar by women.

Congrats for a female figure (Watson) for not only recognizing this but also talking about it in a public light.

Well Wallops....I gave a struggling mother standing along the road holding a sign, stating that, $5 today. You would not really hear about that unless I said something. But....that just goes to prove your point about good going on and we just don't hear about it.

SR...I agree for the most part. I think there are some things they can teach children in schools that would benefit many in their adult years. But, money is always the issue or excuse.

I think in some cases people, on a personal level, hurt other people because they themselves are hurting within.

Some people grow up being taught hate from their parents. Therefore, that is all they know.

On a larger scale, like Isis, it seems as if they were taught hate at a very young age.

SR, I heard recently about record heat average temperatures being recorded this here in the US. But, as far as MI was concerned, it was a very wet, cold, and short summer. I heard there are predictions for this winter to be as cold as last year's.

Not sure what to address to...but it is out of the norm.
