It is funny you bring Ali up. My oldest brother and I were just talking about when he met Ali back in 1993. When in college, my brother was an usher for the MSU college basketball games. Ali lived in Adrian, MI and would come to several of the MSU college games. My brother told me that the college gave him his own golf cart to ride around in the stadium.
My brother also mentioned he was lucky enough one time to get his autograph at the state capital building. Every time he met him, he said Ali was a very pleasant person.
Summer/nice weather is around the corner, and in most places, even already here. It is amazing what a nice peaceful walk in nature could do for somebody. Hope you start feeling better.
What is done is done. No amount of anger will change what has happened. It is your judgement call on whether or not you hold anyone responsible and for how long. I kinda like Non's comment. I am sorry to hear this happen to you. Is there any chance the negatives still exist for some photos?
I am with CF here. Even though I live in the U.S., I thought what you see in Hollywood was a fair representation of what goes on in this country. But seriously, I will say I see a lot of people here trying to replicate what they see in the movies. How many times have you heard somebody use a quote from a movie? How many times have you heard women trying to be bone skinny like in the movies? How many times have you seen guys trying to get six pack abs like in the movies? This is just a very few examples I have. However, there are many out there that can think for themselves and live their own lives.
I am curious. Have you ever tried astral projecting? If so or if not, what do you think about the potential it has to heightening the spirituality of a person?
I know that this is a tough world to live in and what I have read is very sad. But, what about responsibility? Shouldn't people be responsible for the behaviors they partake in? I say this because I believe people should take responsibility for their actions. Maybe I am missing something here?
How have you been lately? For me, I wish I was in retirement. It has been very hectic on my end. However, when I find the extra time, I try to make it here. My summers are usually very busy. I wanted to stop in and say I really enjoyed the story. I read your previous one also, not sure if I commented on it....sorry if not. If not, that was also very amusing.
A lot of the music I listen to for meditation is instrumental. I find I am able to go into deeper relaxation with it. As far as listening to music while working, I think there was some sort of scientific study done in the 1950's or there about that showed employees were more productive when music was being played in the work place. Maybe it takes their mind off of the monotonous work they were performing?
This is kinda what prompted me to write this blog in the first place. I was paying attention to my emotions and noticed how some songs would influence them in certain ways.
I am happy you were able to share a similar experience.
RE: What women want...
Ian,I always heard that men want to feel loved and women want to feel wanted. There is somewhat of a difference there. :)
