RE: Dio's Secret Public Journal

Sorry about what happened at your daughter's school. I know that had to hurt. hug

RE: Dio's Secret Public Journal

rolling on the floor laughing I can relate to the thought of what that looks like to observers. I agree.

Makes you wonder what cats are playing with that we can't see.

RE: Should Libertarians be happy with Palin?

No candidate is perfect. One thing I'll say is that we need someone in the White House who will shake things up and make changes. I think that the McCain/Palin team is the one to do it. I also believe that with them we won't lose our gun rights (unlike Biden as VP), which means we still have our freedom. As long as we still have our freedom, we can make any other changes to things we don't like.

RE: Bee swarm kills six

What? It was...and I'm fatally allergic to bee stings. I still found it funny. Sorry if that offends anyone...it just really tickled my funny bone.

RE: a sad reminder........posting not neccessary

You're welcome. hug

RE: a sad reminder........posting not neccessary

No, dear, they're not. Neither are sons supposed to die before parents. But it happens every day, to those of all faiths. It's not b/c you don't believe in god...many who do go through this too.

Understand that you're not alone, and don't be angry at yourself. Yes, anger is part of the grieving process, btw...and usually people go through being angry at god. Me, I have some anger at my husband for the choices he made that gave him no chance for survival. But, I had to respect his right to make those choices. However, it was the final catalyst to push me into school for Natural Health, and ultimately my Doctor of Naturopathy, since I believe that cancer is preventable and even reversible.

You just go on the best you can, dear. It's never easy.hug comfort

Trish, dear, it's ok to cry. It's always ok to cry. Who told you not to cry? Tears heal...cry them out. (It's actually documented scientifically even, btw...tears really do help us to release chemicals that lift our emotions afterward.)hug sad flower crying

RE: When I say I am a Christian...............

Absolutely...and too many do the first, but can't do the second. I respect anyone who does. I walk my beliefs every day.

RE: When I say I am a Christian...............

Since I don't believe in heaven, nobody can go there by choice or by force, lol. I never bought any of the Christian beliefs in 40 years of going to church...no, I'm not going to change my mind now. I have studied the history of the "Church", and with that knowledge call it for the hypocrisy it is. Not those who truly believe...just the Church itself. Part of what I disagree with is anyone who says it must be done with fear and trembling, btw. Sheesh. Sorry, but that's just not my picture of God, nor of Christ's teachings.

Now, Christ's true teachings of love, peace and tolerance...that's another story. He is one of the great Ascended Masters...right up there with Buddha and Kwan Yin.

RE: who is disliked more....

Um...that's my understanding of being a patriot. Not only do we have freedom of speech in this country, i also believe that it's part of this site. If someone doesn't like what another is saying, they have the ability to ignore it. Nobody is forcing them to read anything here.

Pleasure to meet you, and I'd never call anyone "unpatriotic" for standing up for their beliefs.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. It's a shame when someone so young dies so senselessly. This was a good way to deal with your pain.

I lost my husband, and best friend, almost a year ago, so I understand.

RE: Irish player not disabled enough

What a shame. I agree that isn't fair. It's not like he became un-disabled. He just worked hard to be good at his sport...like a true athlete. We reward most of them for this...then punish this one. Not fair. frustrated very mad

RE: What would you do...

By the way...I'm with whoever said buy one. Though I really can't have them since I've become lactose intolerant...so the answer now is nothing.

RE: PARENT - Job Description

Copy it from here and paste it into an email or a Word doc.

And yes, this is so very true...and we enjoy every minute of it, don't we?! I know I have no regrets about taking the job...and mine are now teens (and yes, occasionally I'm an embarrassment).
