RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 99

RE: What happens when coronavirus gets really bad where you live?

No idea for certain what will happen. I'll ensure my generator stays in good working order.

For all the people panicking in my area, there are also a lot like me that know we're not doing any thing useful sitting around and aren't even in that mode. Going into a scared funk is potentially worse than being about as much as you might be able to get done as needed each day. Or maybe limited to what we feel like doing with almost every thing we might need or do being shut down.

Since survival statistics are so much higher than death, it's more likely it won't reach that state. Already too many are starting to be more sick of being stuck at home with so much being closed off.

People have to get out and start trying to live again sooner or later. The people that are supposed to be doing the jobs, will realize that their "fear" is starting to hurt themselves as well.

RE: IS THE COVID-19 VIRUS MAN MADE

Yeah Tom. I'm for real.

We aren't even remotely close to actual tolls for things we know about. We didn't even think about shutting down during the N1H1. It wasn't the only pandemic either.

Survival rate for this virus is still high. To the point a very large population won't even know they have it.

I've already stated my views on the older and oldest population. If what they say about certain people being more susceptible than others, then I fit that category and I'm still not going to panic about it.

RE: IS THE COVID-19 VIRUS MAN MADE

I think it's a hoax raph. Major over kill on how it's being handled.

80% will never know they're infected. The U.S. is less than .02% death rate.

I don't like what it does for the older and oldest population. There isn't anything we know of to date, that doesn't take a toll on that. Sometimes younger people too.

RE: IS THE COVID-19 VIRUS MAN MADE

I don't know if it's man made or not. I don't think it's scary. I think people make it scary. Media and politicians don't help.

RE: Corona

I'll go with the thread title of "Corona". Much less complicated.

Since I've never had one, I'm thinking I might try one. I've heard they go good with a lime.

RE: Profiles without real picture of person.

It's a nice thought.

Still no real way to fully verify that any picture is correct. I've still chatted here there a little with people that don't have photos. It's not all bad by a long shot.

For the extreme few that I have actually met from online(literally about a few in 10 years or so), only one had photos that weren't even close. The rest were close enough since a picture doesn't age or change with the person.

Besides, a photo doesn't teach or show anything about the actual life and person. That can only be learned in real life and in person. It's primarily eye candy.

RE: How's your week-end going?

I have grandchildren now. The rest of the people in our gatherings can't have children? Nieces, nephews, maybe some cousins, neighbors and their families.

Kids is a general term.

RE: How's your week-end going?

Nice cook out Saturday afternoon. Kids, family, friends. Colder temps but very tolerable.

Of course we sometimes do that with 4ft. of snow on the ground or more. Music, kid shows, other activities.

Actually, we've been kinda doing that year round for decades.

RE: Coronavirus Virus

This new flu, is being taken way over board.

Even headlines are reading that some people who have recovered, still test positive. It will never go away until a vaccine is made and/or immunity is built up to the new and improved version of the flu. It seems many are already doing well treating it as such, the flu. There are recorded cases where people don't even know it's the new corona bug.

Survival rates are still high with older and other health factors involved, primarily, as the under lying causes of death. Even pneumonia and the regular flu, still takes some healthy lives.

So what is the hype about? Creating a mental block to recovery by preaching and acting like it's absolute death? We don't actually have cures for the common cold and pneumonia. They say the flu vaccination helps but people still die and they don't act like this.

RE: Outrageous In 2020

All on that poll are outrageous.

Every contender that tried the demonrat ticket is outrageous.

The whole party is outrageous. It seems many of their supporters are some of the most violent when in groups.

RE: Why haven't you got a partner yet?

I don't have a slant for it. Most that I might consider are too far away. It still matters and depends on of they would consider me as well.

Others that are closer, some of which might even be local on occasion, have their noses too high in the air in public so I'm certainly not going to bother online.

I don't look or try. I mostly function in real life. I don't get out much over all with my work schedule. If something happens naturally, great. If not, I'm okay with being alone too.

Last but not least; some of my regular activities aren't in social settings. They're more on the go or in more secluded areas. I put a lot of miles on my goldwing annually. I also like to spend some time at the sportsman's club with my fire arms. By time I schedule a concert or movie night, etc., it's generally just me or maybe my youngest daughter wants to tag along.

I might meet some people on the fly but nothing to give thought about with permanency, let alone relationships.

RE: Trump: Pelosi ‘broke the law’ by ripping up SOTU speech

I was reading an article that she was trying to demand FB and twitter take down the pictures and videos of her ripping the speech up. Or trying to have it done by some of her legal reps or something.

Either way the report is she wants them down. Would that be evidence tampering or some sort of witness tampering? I don't know.

I just want the demonrat party gone and out of the country's misery.

RE: Your husband's/wife's boss

Encourage my spouse to look for another job. I would even help them look.

There are other factors to be considered as well. It can become complicated in reasoning and explanation. The spouse should know at some point.

All of this would have to be considered on an individual basis with the spouse.

RE: My sister wants your feedback

Since your sister is a professional of sorts for special needs children, why can't she spot the obvious that nothing here will help?

They need to seek the advice and help of other professionals of the family nature in real life.

That is my personal view as far as feed back that might actually help her(them), produce results.

RE: PAKISTAN

When reasonably prepared and some time spent for the environment to sink in, you would be surprised at how many do and will see the natural beauty in any environment.

After a while it just hits you while thinking and admiring at times. It can become the best peace and solace a person has at times.

RE: PAKISTAN

People never actually consider just how harsh and extreme desert climates can be.

Hot a lot of the time during the day and often can be below freezing at night. Snow isn't uncommon but more frequent and accumulative at higher altitudes.

I don't miss that environment although they can have their own unique beauty and wild life.

RE: everything anyone has is given to them.

I don't think the term "given" is what you think the term "given" means.

The act or means used to gain and improve is achieved through processes in various forms of action. Those given every thing, are generally on some form of government assistance. Those capable of doing for themselves yet choose that route are a process of waste at the expenses of those actually performing the actions to gain and/or improve.

Maybe some have extremely wealthy back grounds and may be given much from an other's work and effort. Eventually they will have to do for themselves in some manner for better or worse.

No one gave me any of my personal gains or effects. I worked for them. I paid costs and prices of various types of processes because it's not just in the form of currency we pay for gains and improvements.

What people are given through most of their younger years are care with opportunities for growth and education. They choose what to do with those in their life after a certain point.

If we were all truly "given" every thing, why would we have to work in, and through, various processes to gain and improve?

RE: So many people are now buying on line big box stores are closing

It's not always about convenience. It includes pricing, preferences, and choices.

Years ago, I would sometimes take a drive an hour and half away or more just so I could have choices, pricing, and maybe cater a little to certain preferences.

RE: So many people are now buying on line big box stores are closing

The economy is pretty good.

The attraction on online? I can go to a parts store for hub assemblies for my vehicle. $100 plus dollars per side. Online? I can get both sides for about the price of one. Same parts or even split the difference with a preferred brand.

If the prices can be offered online like that, there isn't any reason a parts store can't do the same. Common parts that used run around $15-20 dollars are now almost doubled or more.

When physical retailers up their costs, it kind of tends to push people to do more online.

Another issue for many smaller areas, limited options and tired of the local stores with higher pricing with subpar products. Maybe they don't keep a steady stock of favorite items but force people to change or do with out certain preferences. Another frustration that can force some consumers away from the physical market places.

RE: Just like that the " Do Nothing Dems pass the USMCA

That's the scary part. There will be a lot of people that continue to fall, believe, and support every thing they do while never seeing or acknowledging the worse and bigger picture.

A very large number still refuse the open and deep damages they've done since 2009.

RE: Just like that the " Do Nothing Dems pass the USMCA

Just more politics. They're going to pass a lot of things now(or try to). They have to make their followers think they're doing something. More scam to cover the sham.

I read recently about another bill the WH will veto. It's contains provisions for Ukraine. Naturally, the POTUS will reject it until that section is remarked after the sham. They really are a, blatantly, crooked lot.

Easy to see how many districts and areas end up as slums and worse when they've been in control too long.

RE: If Obama is found complicit and subsequently impeached will all his Executive orders be null & void?

No matter.

Many of those points? Ive been making for a very long time.

We'll never know for certain until a true, and actual investigation is done. If it ever goes that far; we might be able to rest assured that the rest will follow where applicable.

There's a whole lot of corruption that needs to be exposed and directly dealt with from a certain political party. I call them demonrats. There are most likely more than few rethuglicans in there too.

They need the face the system in the same manner as THEY would enforce on the average citizen that doesn't have the funds and connections to keep from being railroaded.

The actual beauty of it all is that they wouldn't be railroaded. They'd finally be caught, called out, and prosecuted.

RE: Trump's Full "Scorched-Earth" Letter to Nancy Pelosi Read. "You Have Found NOTHING!"

They haven't proven anything either. Except how desperate they are to keep what ever they can covered and try to win control of the nation back at all costs.

It seems no one or the nation ever fairs well under that type of control. I hope the country is finally realizing that.

RE: Why Do You Log Onto Connectingsingles

Welcome back. I hope you enjoy the forums and blogs. That means the good, bad, and ugly that might come with it.

I think there are a lot of nice people here over all.

I'm not one of the "fun" ones but I do partially participate in certain areas of the forums and blogs.

I've met a couple of ladies here that I truly liked over the duration I've been here. Not in person or even through any type application of course. All was too short in general. I'll take the blame as at least one could have workable over time.

It just wasn't in the cards at the time and I knew that from my end.

It's my opinion that CS is still a potential open door that shouldn't be closed just yet.

RE: Why Do You Log Onto Connectingsingles

I'm not opposed to the potential of maybe finding some one online. I am skeptical about it. Most of the best days are out and away from home and work. That generally includes away from most types of electronics as well.

After work and reading, I tend to log in while doing other things. Maybe a thread topic will catch my interest and maybe I won't bother with much more than looking around while still searching information and doing other chores around the dwelling.

Many times I've been logged in doing nothing but playing one of the game consoles hooked up to the television.

I suppose it varies for reasons on a day-to-day basis.
