RE: A new computer

Take the advice and get a Mac, either desk or laptop and one you actually own it, you'll be surprised how fast you will know the all the tech talk as you work with your Mac. Both male and females have problems at first and have a hard time making a choice about a computer and many make mistakes of choosing a wrong one. Just go for the best...get a Mac...added bonus....no virus can yet penetrate their programs. You don't need costly security programs installed. Bon chance!

RE: who wants to be philosophical

If you have an extra shoe, then by one definition, it would be 'an outsider'; it wouldn't belong, which then renders it as an existential shoe. If by some rather bizarre set of peculiar circumstances you happen to have other items of clothing not matching anything else or in a combo of outfits that you wear, then that also renders them as 'outside' the norm of your wardrobe. One cure to this peculiar set of circumstances would be to dress wearing all these itms at one and thus you could look like an existentialist; why just believe in existentialism; look the part that doesn't fit; doesn't belong...The very essence of the 'outsider'! laugh

RE: Tillerson called him Moron for a good reason

The entire history of the election of a president has always been that the people will only elect someone who is dumber than they are because that way, they figure he can't or won't hurt them...well guess what....they have finally elected/ erected someone far dumber than anyone before and he's just getting started...laugh

All you need do is find out who owns CS and where they are based. Then everything becomes rather clear and self explanatory about posts; posters and topics. A sort of' A Posters guide to the CS Galaxy.'.. without any humour from Douglas Adams...sigh

RE: The Catalan referendum riots

Well, the govt. could have allowed the use of their Spanish Foreign Legion but afterwards, there would have been no Catalan...Who knows, they may ; one scenario could evolve/ devolve into the Govt. declaring Catalan independent, then send in their Legion troops to quell a hostile state...end of Catalan. When push comes to shove the govt. would use any means necessary to maintain the Spanish State. Regional autonomy by the central govt. notwithstanding...They firmly believe in the old adage that the Castle that parleys is already half taken. That altitude in the long run does not win friends and influences people in any sort of positive manner; sometimes a State should/ must become less rigid for its own peoples. Confederation is always better than internal dictatorship...

RE: referendum in spain

Courts are usually wrong in most cases, especially in 'constitutional matters' that allow more freedom to people and their decisions must be reversed by the people even though it may take decades as in the US when Secession was declared illegal and the southern states were forced back into union with the US Federal Govt. There were no challenges to these absolute dictatorial laws being passed by members of Congress without any members of the former Confederate States. This and other matters pertaining to State's rights, Secession and forced re-unionazation without the consent of the governed need to be re-opened. All State courts dealing with referendums, secession, declarations of freedom from oppressive governments to form new republics/ countries usually get decisions against the wishes of the people . States do not actually recognize any option that allows the people to dissolve their continued participation in a State despite the ways and means to legally do so and the results are usually violent and by the nature of most States, must of necessity turn violent to exercise their inherent rights to be free as they see fit. Many old 'feudal states' within an Empire had at times more rights in which their peoples and electors could be free, have their separate independence and yet choose to remain within an Empire There is nothing inherently wrong or dangerous to an Empire made up of autonomous states but seemingly dangerous to a modern State founded by legislation and laws at odds against the very people that make up that State. Perhaps a 'refresher course' of violent revolution is needed for the powers that run the States contrary to the benefit of its citizens. Politicians are not and never will be omnipotent.

RE: Unconditional love!

I find conditions in any scenario rather stifling and have more expressive liberties when things are without any conditions. What I prefer is that of 'unconditionally unconventional.'..especially in a relationship...laugh

RE: referendum in spain

The cultural borders of Europe do not match the lines on the map. If you stand in Milan and walk south you arrive in Africa before crossing water and the same is true if you walk south from Barcelona. If you walk south or east from Vienna here too you will find that Europe ends way before the lines as written.[/quote

RE: Who is or was the greatest man in the world?

Among the many questions that I either asked things like UFO's and ancient ruins, Tesla came up on the communicating with aliens. He mentioned that all his notebooks, not individual papers but notebooks filled with future inventions, sketches and notes about aliens and their power sources and communicating with people. He talked about a lot of topics with me and his co workers when they visited. He worked for the CIA since it was formed for over 30 years. Many of those years were spent in their so called UFO department...or as at times called it, the dept. of 'Nasty little things'...As a child he always reminded me never, ever talk about anything that he told me. He was very open at times and strange , as years after an incident, I realized that he had actually used me as part of his cover during an arrest of a Soviet spy in a Washington DC hotel....I had just thought he wanted me along for company....A very strange man. The question of Tesla's netbooks remains a total mystery as to their whereabouts and their contents. I met a distant relative of his and she became upset over all his notes, and his notebooks had been refused when other relatives had asked for their return at some point in the early 1960's...

Well, that also leaves your libraries out by the same faulty reasoning. Yo would say the same about any and all books about Freemasonry; half truths and lies even those written by known Freemasons. How do you expect to ever learn, by posts on CS? rolling on the floor laughing

Of course you could at least try a few basic books such as Unlocking The Masonic Code by Ian Gittins,2007; Volumes 1 &2 of The Secret Societies of All Countries by Charles Heckelthorne, 1965; The Brotherhood: The Secret World of The Freemasons, by Stphen Knight, 1984 and if you dare Google the authors...uh oh

RE: Kindness

Kindness
"There are a myriad of things the world could benefit from having more of. Kindness is one of them. When you are a kind person, you're not only helping others, you are helping yourself, too. There's substantial scientific evidence that being kind makes you -- and others around you -- happy.

The above makes it sound that one needs to be followed around by a publicist or a news correspondent to publicize any alleged act(s) of kindness that you may commit during your day to day attempts to live .
I daresay, that is so artificial and bogus...as fake as reality TV, an oxymoron for sure. Most people do not have personal news outlets for publicity and any acts of kindness or just plain doing the civilized thing for another or perhaps to them, is not going to go public or be on the 11pm news anywhere. For the most part acts of decency/ kindness goes totally unknown except to the people actually involved...or so has my experiences in life come to. It is not a virus and does not spread of its own volition. That's a shame; wish it were contagious...wine
