Nah, you're wrong...the same could be said of women.....women often present themselves in the packaging of a potential friend, but they often have ulterior motives (wink, wink) if you don't deliver what they really want, they get snappy.......it works both ways...Truly platonic friendships are rare, methinks.
Hallo Awesome, read the above note...but beyond that, a buddy is a buddy is a buddy...the best friendships can be forgiving and resilient....I have found platonic friendships to be somewhat more fragile...what's your experience, buddy?
I've had some great platonic women friends, but unfortunately there are two risks...firstly it's secretly not platonic, and resentment creeps in from one side, or else more usually, as soon as the lady gets a boyfriend, you get dumped, either because she doesn't have any time anymore, or three's a crowd, or the boyfriend gets jealous....oh vey!!
It's possible, but unusual....but when you get it right, it's priceless But it has a different quality to a same-gender friendships, and there are unusual risks involved...
Yeah, well you are multi-talented, like a lot of the swiss, who live in a country with 3 official languages....me, with my english and very scrappy german, feel positively uneducated....
Think about it....growing up in South Africa, if it haden't been for Apartheid, I could have spoken Zulu or Xhosa literally like a native...too bad. Johnny Clegg is probably a rare example of a white who grew up with a black language...

Dear Cherscic....next time dance with me.... If the truth be known, Rusty's new Project is Salsa dancing lessons in his PowerTower....his first class is already fully booked. Him, myself, and half the women of Gozo. I'm ignoring the fact that all of them are over 70, have moustaches and dress in black.... (Rusty has this thing about women in tight black dresses...)..but by this time next month, I should be able to swing you around like a greasy gringo gaucho cowboy on steroids...yihaaaa!...
