At this point in my life, I am cautious just as most are. However, I also know how it feels to regret letting someone slip away. My philosphy has changed dramatically, I believe in telling someone how I feel, its better to let them know and know that you told them. That way there is no regrets for me later on about wishing what I didn't say.
In addition to the drums, Alex is also an accomplished pianist. The instrumental "Respect the Wind" from the Twister soundtrack features Alex on keys and marks his first and only appearance on a record outside of Van Halen. The piece has a melancholy, classical flavor to it, which isn't surprising due to the fact that Alex had several years of classical piano training as a young boy
America in my opinion has some of the top medical facilities in the world, we have Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, UCLA Medical Center,Duke University Medical Center, Barnes Jewish Hospital (right here in my area, it's number 10 in the list for best heart/lung transplant hospitals)....there are many, many more too many to list here.
We are accelerating in the medical area simply because we have some of the best medical schools in the world.
I would rather live in America than anywhere else in the world, if I am ill with cancer, heart/lung disorders, or any other medical condition, I know that I can travel within the United States to receive the best possible care available.
The legal system needs to be overhauled, I'm not going to speculate as to the many reasons why our legal system is lacking due to the fact that I am in healthcare and that is my area of strongest knowledge. I would think that we need to do something about habitual offenders, child molesters, prison overcrowding, etc,. etc.
Welfare system.......don't even get me started. I don't believe it is a give-away program but I do believe that the welfare system should not become a way of life for some. I believe the government should make it available on a case-by-case basis after careful review, but it is sadly not that way and the ones who need it most sometimes aren't eligible. We need to make welfare reforms so that people currently on and are able bodied and able to work can be job trained and made to be economically viable at some point. JMO
The only thing I don't like about my country is GWB.....everything else about my country makes me proud to be an American, I have freedoms and liberties that not many other people experience and I for one do not intend to take that for granted.
Welcome to CS and I hope you find as much enjoyment and entertainment and friendship as I have found! It really is a great place to lift your spirits and they bring you and make you feel welcome.
I would just be open with her and tell her how you feel, tell her that you care for her and you are under the impression she reciprocates the feelings. It sounds like she may be interested but is apprehensive, take it slow and don't try to rush her into anything. If you are confused, then after telling her how you feel, I'd let her take the lead from there. If she truly feels the same way she is going to be flattered that you cared enough to be honest with her and that leaves the door open for her to take this to the next level when and if she's ready...I wish you luck!!!!!
Be self-confident, honest, comfortable with myself and just being me. I wouldn't try to be anything than who I am because to "trick" a man into believing you are what you aren't is a recipe for disaster. If I tried to be something or someone that I wasn't it would backfire, you can't live your life as lie to impress someone.
Uh I would have paid for my portion and left him sitting and not looked back.......how rude!!! Oh well, that is some people for ya, you live and learn and remember to carry extra cash for yourself! LOL
The man is rude to me or someone else like waiter, waitress, cashier...being rude just turns me off and I won't even oblige a rude person. I've been known to just bail out if the man shows a bit of rudeness...people are all human beings and there is no justifiable reason to be rude....unless the other person is rude first, but then you kill them with kindness and it does work.
Used to follow me around constantly, leave me flowers in weird locations, accuse me of cheating (he was the one), interrogated all of my friends and when they wouldn't talk to him he resorted to voice activated tape recorders in my house and car, dug through my purse "looking" for phone numbers..the only one he found was to a man named Marty.....my supervisor at work...who was gay. He called up Marty and told him to stay away from me....just obssessed. Still to this day he tries to be controlling but I've taken back control by telling him to mind his own business and I don't socialize or speak to him unless it involves our daughter..if he brings up anything unrelated to our daughter, I immediately cease conversation.
Nice post B, I know how it is to be "together" yet still be lonely myself. I read your song it's nice but if not a bit sad.. but it kind of reminded me of the Greenday song I walk alone...I can relate to both! You are lucky you don't have to be so lonely anymore...so cheer the F up..........LMAO
Those are obvious reasons but have you ever noticed that everyone has their own unique "scent"..want an example go smell your womans clothing and then take a wiff of yours..see the difference..for those with no girlfriend..I guess you're outta luck!
RE: SPECIAL INVITATION....
Mitch to bad that they don't have a COMB OVER icon..I feel the urge to send CS a special request! LOL
