RE: Long Distance Relationships - do they work and how?

Thank you

RE: whats your favorite tv show?

Nip/Tuck........LOVE IT!!!!!!!

RE: DOES ANYBODY WANT TO TALK ABOUT ANYTHING INTERESTING THAT HAPPENED IN THE NEWS THIS WEEK ??

Thanks for the FYI..appreciated. I just wonder how those parents could have stowed her body away in the trunk of a car without being caught. Somebody has had to have seen something and is afraid to come forward...whatever is going on I feel its a scandal and cover-up. JMO

RE: How many times have u fallen into love with someone?

I have fallen in love a few times, but never lasted because it wasn't meant to be.

RE: A lonely life, or life with the "wrong" person?

When you aren't happy in a relationship it makes life even lonlier than if you'd spend life completely alone. For me I'd rather be alone and as for being lonely.....I wouldn't let myself feel lonely.

RE: capital punishment necessary or humans playing god?

TruBlu......I never stated I put much value in the fictional writings of Stephen King. Another blogger made reference to the movie Shawshank Redemption in this thread and my statement was posted in reference to her comment.

I made reference for anyone who cares to read, about movies depicting death row and some of them happen to be true stories.

I can't personally make up my mind if the death penalty is a just method or unjust. I believe in an eye-for-an-eye theory but also only one can giveth and taketh away life and that's God, its not up to human beings to play god.

But then I view the crimes these animals commit and I find myself truly condoning the fact that they need to pay for their crimes and maybe death isn't such a bad option...I Just don't know if I could be the one behind the executioners mask.

RE: DOES ANYBODY WANT TO TALK ABOUT ANYTHING INTERESTING THAT HAPPENED IN THE NEWS THIS WEEK ??

What is a "boot" of a car? I am not familiar with that phrase.

Also why would parents kill their child? There are many reasons. Andrea Yates drowned her children because she was pyscotic, Paula Sims killed her two daughters and has one surviving son and people say she did it because her husband only wanted boy children, Susan Smith drowned her children in her car because her lover didn't want children. There are many reasons why parents murder their children, but in my experience and from what I've seen of these types of cases it is usually the mother who is responsible for the actual killing. I can never fathom why a mother would kill her own child, but it can and does happen in this world as sad as it is, its reality.

I never heard of all the other information that Hugs posted, I've only heard what I've cited in my blog above. This makes it seem more and more likely that the parents did have something to do with this poor baby girls untimely disappearance, God forgive them if they did.crying

RE: DOES ANYBODY WANT TO TALK ABOUT ANYTHING INTERESTING THAT HAPPENED IN THE NEWS THIS WEEK ??

I believe it because the media only puts out the most heartwrenching, scandalous and interesting stories. There was a boy Sean Hornbeck from Missouri not far from where I live he was missing since like 2002 and was found more than four years later. I've provided a link to his story through another story of a missing baby Abby ...........
You can also google his name and find out his complete story..but Shawn and Elizabeth Smarts story BOTH inspire me to hold out hope for little Maddie and miracles can and do happen everyday, maybe Maddie will be one of them too!

RE: Do you ever?????

Everyone feels the strains and stresses of everyday life from time to time and you need to know that throughout this whole situation what you feel is shared with others and it's completely normal.

It is how each of us handles this situation that makes it unique. What may work for you might not work for someone else. But most of all it is just about getting through the day and hoping that the next day is better and brighter.

If crying and venting works for you sister then do it as much as you need to do it! Don't feel guilty and don't apologize for the way you feel! We've all been there a time or two ourselves.

Laugh--remember laughter is the best medicine and it's hard to feel bad when you are cutting up with laughter. Deep laughter releases endorphins the feel good hormones and improves your immune sytem. Laughter helps one keep lifes troubles in perspective.

Make a list of everything you are grateful for, reflect on the list and realize why each thing on the list makes you happy and feel positive. Sometimes we have more than we realize when we see it written down on paper.

Give of yourself, it will make you feel better inside to know you have done something nice or helpful for someone else. It will also allow you to concentrate and focus on something other than your problems.

There is an old saying "what goes around comes around" and when you see that you have cheered up someone else, it in turn will make you feel better knowing you've done that.

Just try to stay positive and know that the way you feel is temporary. we all have our days......and it's completely normal.

Hope you cheer up soon!hug

RE: WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO YOU??????????????

Friends without a doubt!

RE: Do You

NEVER ever think of yourself as NOT good enough! That's self sabotage and you are good enough, smart enough, and you should always feel that way. As far as money...that shouldn't factor into what you think of yourself as a person. You are unique and wonderful just as you are! There is only one you!

RE: Are You Mad At Me Too?

I had no intentions of being rude and I apologize if that is what you perceived my comment to be.

However I did read her comments and she said her "rating" was brought down by some men rating her a 1, is that not what she stated in her original post?

If this hasn't anything to do with vanity or she wasn't worried about her "rating" then why post a thread about it and generate a discussion about this issue? That's my point.

Along the way vanity does come into the equation because she got offended that some men rated her poorly because she didn't give them the time of day. As a result they rated her pictures low and it affected her overall "rating" and for this reason she was upset.

If she didn't care about her overall rating she wouldn't care what score men are giving her on the rate a pic would she?

My suggestion was that if it bothered her that much she could always turn off the rating and not worry about it at all. That would solve the problem in my estimation.

RE: Long Distance Relationships - do they work and how?

I don't know if long distance relationships work or don't work as a whole. As Ice said it worked for her and that's so wonderful, but on the flip side I would think it would depend on the two people involved.

Long distance relationships would take a total commitment to trust, communication and strength. You would have to be secure in the knowledge of your partners commitment to you and vice versa. You have to be a confident person who is able to whether the distance between you both.

I would think if it came down to relocating to be with someone at the time that it happens, you may have to "give up" somethings to be with the person you love. But the returns on your investment of time and love would be well worth the struggles.

I'll let you know when and if I ever get the opportunity to provide more insight from a personal level. All in all I believe like with any relationship that being involved with someone long distance would have basically the same issues you would have when involved with someone else closer in proximity. Every relationship has periods of ups and downs but I think a long distance relationship would have aspects and dynamics not oridinarily faced by other couples. But in defense of long distance relationships...these two people may have a better communication and understanding of each other from the time that they spend getting to know each other through emails and conversations. Communication can make or break any relationship.

I wish you the absolute best of luck and if being in a long distance relationship works for you then that's great and I'm rooting for ya!cheering

RE: Are You Mad At Me Too?

If you are that worried about your "rating" as far as physical appearances go, then I would simply turn off the rating on your pictures.

I haven't posted any photographs here for my own personal reasons but if I did I certainly wouldn't worry about how men I don't even know would "rate" me. I know where I stand with those that matter to me and I certainly wouldn't let a few select individuals bring my self-confidence down.

Turn off your rating if it troubles you this much. That's the best advice I can give you.

RE: Do You

I never think of someone as being "out of my league" because that would mean that I didn't think well of myself and I didn't have the inner confidence about myself. I don't let anyone make me feel inferior or self-conscious for any reason. I extend the invitation to chat and if someone doesn't respond then that is OK with me too because it's up to the other person to respond back once I've extended the olive branch. But no nobody is out of my league, we are similar but all unique and you never know who you will mesh with or click with. Take a chance and be suprised.

RE: DID THEY CHANGE THE COLOUR OF JESUS CHRIST SO THAT MORE PEOPLE GO TO CHURCH WHAT COLOUR WAS HE REALY

I have already posted on this thread about my views and Gilly attacks me and asks me if I believe everything I read in the bible???

Well, yes I believe what I read in the bible and I'm being honest which is what he asked me for my opinion. It's kind of redundant to ask me for a personal opinion and then to question my OPINION, kind of defeats the purpose of asking am I right?

Different races/societies depicted Jesus and other biblical figures as their own race in their artworks: Jesus appearedwhite in the west and black in Africa.

But if you take into consideration the book of Revelation in which Jesus is described in his heavenly form, though not earthly form. There is very little textural evidence on Jesus' life and descriptions of his earthly appearance are even more rare.

In Revelation chapter 1 verses 13-16 is the description of Jesus in his heavenly form as witnessed by the Apostle John.

If you believe that Jesus was of Middle Eastern descent and had physical similarities to a Galilean Semite then I ask you to ponder this, when Judas had to point Jesus out to those arresting him. This would seem make one think....what was it about the physical appearance of Jesus that made him differ from the others??? was it his hair, skin color, eye color, physical stature??? Think about it.

I don't think there is any real way to speculate without given facts and solid proof what race/color Jesus happened to be. If you want to rely on textural information to prove or develop a theory then what text is it? The only genuine text from that time period mostly comes from the bible and that is a proven fact and you want to dispute my belief?

RE: what are the strangest religion in the world ? ..and why ?

Dude I think you need to use "google"

RE: DID THEY CHANGE THE COLOUR OF JESUS CHRIST SO THAT MORE PEOPLE GO TO CHURCH WHAT COLOUR WAS HE REALY

Well if this isn't religious than we wouldn't be talking about Jesus and pondering his nationality.

According to the word of the bible..which I am going by when referencing "Jesus Christ" we are all created "in the image of God" so my answer to your question would be that God has many faces and many colors because according to the bible he could be in the image of black, white, yellow, purple, green, blue..whatever you see in yourself you will see in God. We are perfect and created in his image, does that answer your question.

RE: IS THERE REALLY A GOD OR IS IT JUST SOCIETY'S WAY OF '' RIPPING US ALL OFF '' TO KEEP US IN LINE

I believe in God and take great comfort in my faith. I don't feel I'm getting misled or "ripped off" and as far as being kept in line...my parents taught me right from wrong but it's up to me to keep myself in check.

RE: DO ANY OF US REALLY KNOW THE TYPE OF PERSON WE'RE SUITED TO SPEND THE REST OF OUR LIVES WITH ?

IceKrystal and DND got together on here and they seem very well suited and extremely happy so I hold out hope that it will work for me too!
