I love watching this chap live. You can feel when he transports to another plane of consciousness when he gets really absorbed. It kind of hits you in waves and it's not a usual life experience.
The black fella with the white hair is also a Cardiff character. He is often found drumming on rubbish bins, getting moved on because his schizophrenia makes his behaviour a little odd, or in a catatonic state in a random bank. One of my daughter's friends once prodded him thinking he was a manikin. Much teenage embarrassment and angst was had over that social faux pas.
Yes, in a sense it's frightening, but it's also very interesting. We can learn a lot from it.
It's less interesting when people don't believe in the inflammatory material they're writing. It tells us less about politics, societal dynamics and people's belief systems.
If someone offers an honest opinion, even if it's obnoxious it possible to discuss and debate. If it's dishonest, any interaction will merely illicit a response made up on the spot with no depth behind it. It's like trying to have a conversation with Chinese fortune sticks, a pointless misuse.
I don't think the problem is internal politics being posted on a global forum.
I don't even think disagreement, or obnoxious opinions are a problem.
It's challenging, but that's how we learn.
Rather than divide according to country, or topic, perhaps it would be better to divide them by tone.
I think there should be a category for those who wish to deliberately inflame, rather than discuss, or debate. It would save no end of wear and tear on our scrolling down finger.
They were a bit too trendy for my liking at the time, and yet I still had a sense that this particular track was iconic of the era I was living in.
My granddaughter's best friend's parents are my age and they've inspired an appreciation of art and 80's music in her. I'll get this up on youtube for her and my three grandsons this coming Friday when I'm on crowd control duty.
Whilst I'm not unsympathetic with police being expected to fulfil roles beyond their remit, nor the danger and exhaustion it entails, that video almost epitomises everything that is wrong, emotionally immature, barbaric and intellectually challenged about America.
If you want t break the cycle of hostility breeding hostility, somebody has to start by expressing some humility.
I for one am sorry that it has come to this. I'm sorry that people feel feel their only option in terms of being listened to is through force. I'm sorry for all the contributions I have made towards that.
It wasn't my intention and I am trying to listen, reflect and evaluate in the best way I know how.
An electronic work offered for distribution (the action of sharing something out among a number of recipients) is an article (a piece of writing included with others in a newspaper, magazine, or other publication).
It's the format of the piece of writing which makes in an article (heading, byline, main body consisting of introduction, analysis of the subject matter in question and conclusion).
My mistake. I assumed they were reproduced publications put there for discussion, largely because the ones I've read that were posted by staff were so awful. The one you cite is a good example as it encourages an unhealthy way of relating to others on a dating website.
I assumed the articles section was for posting articles.
One's own thoughts should go in the blog section, but you're right, not citing the author of said published article is misleading.
Maybe reproducing an article under the heading of 'Articles' somehow bypasses plagiarism laws, or maybe the lack of author citation was simply an oversight.
I'm currently lounging on the left side of my bed and I feel fine, thankyou.
Although I do have a glass handy because wolf spiders keep sneaking out from under the skirting board on this side of the room. I feel very insecure when they appear, we disagree about how big they really are and how much rent they should pay. I don't like they way they challenge me, so I make up nonsensical arrears figures and evict them.
