RE: If you could

I'd have to say 23. Then I would elect to stay in the USCG as a career. If I had stayed in, I could retire next year with 30.

Welcome to the forumshandshake

My wife and I met here in the CS forums. We've been happily married since July 14th this year

Hope you have good luck in finding that someone special

RE: What are you doing today ?

Sorry about the breakup for your hearthug I have a confession to make that I haven't made on CS before now.uh oh

If it had not worked out with Earl and I with our Long Distance love affair, I would have NEVER tried Long Distance ever againdunno . We are and I know this in my heart a very Blessed Couple, that it has worked and that we are so much in Love with one another. But "no"scold never again if something should ever happen to us, would I ever in my right mind try or even consider giving a second thought to a Long Distance Love. The obstacles almost always outweigh the chances that Love will be Real and can stand the Test of Time.professor

Dina, I support you in your decision to discover RL. I believe with your Sweet Kind Heart, Love will be in your path for surehandshake (Peaches)

RE: Isn't it out of hand???

Okey dokey usually I would agree with you on this one...exceptconversing I've been hearing several families in our town talk of some of their family members who are in Iraq coming home for a break around Thanksgiving.

The soldiers will be returning to their post before the Christmas holidays, so these families have said they are going all out and doing all the decorating right down to the Christmas Tree and light decorations just to make their family members feel in the holiday spirit.

If I were in their shoes I would be doing the same for my family member as wellhug

For those crazies caught up in the commericalism of the holidays, shame on them allscold . I would think after all this time in this horrid war that something more than "stuff" would be important to them such as the relationship we all have with our loved ones, friends, and even strangers alike. Life is way too short to have our priorities so out of whackhandshake

Okay...okay, I'm climbing down off my soapboxconversing

RE: What are you doing today ?

Just got back from Churchangel and Earl's grilling some marinated pork chops for Lunchapplause Then need to get to some chores I missed yesterday, after spending several hours in Wally World just to buy groceries.head banger Seems everyone from our town was in Wally World the same time I was...making note ...no more grocery shopping on Saturday at Wally World, or at least until after the Christmas season passes.professor

Parents of Grown Children please respond...

I agree with you about the ridiculousness of 18 being a cutoff age of parenthood. handshake I believe even after our own death, we have an impact on our children good or bad depending on how seriously we took our job as parents, and how we guided them to become the men and women who will someday hopefully make the lives of their children wonderful by the seeds we planted in them all those years while they were under our carehug angel whew...that was a mouthful...hope it made some senserolling on the floor laughing
