RE: Catholic Heart Attack

The insurance I had when I got my first by-pass payed the entire bill.
Maybe the next one I'll have them send upstairs rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Who is your favorite NASCAR(sprint-cup only) driver?

Can't stand NASCAR.

Used to live about 30 miles from Loudon, NH. Hated dealing with the traffic whenever I had to go get my son for those weekends. Now I live about 5 miles from Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord NCdoh

Earl

ps. Dale Earnhart Jr is just like his father, a cheater. A dangerous thing to say in NC grin

Smoking

Nagging definitely does not work. It was one thing my ex did about my smoking.

I've been smoking since I was 13 and 50 is coming up real quick. I've had one triple by-pass just shy of age 35 and I'm starting to feel the effects again. It's time

RE: The population of the world is raising very fast , why don’t u stop making kids ?

Done raised two boys. After my ex divorced me, I figured that was enough and had that problem fixed by seeing my doctorgrin

I have recently discovered that I really love kids only if I'm able to send them back to their parents laugh

PS...I am very proud of you for trying so hard...cheering

We're both working on a couple of unhealthy habits, I'm trying to give up Cherry Lemon Sundrop...a Southern Soda..it's my caffeine fixdrinking non-alcoholic, but full of sugar & caffeinewink

Smoking

It's been almost two weeks since I have had a cigarette. It's been hard but hopefully this time I will make it.
What has helped is the cost of a pack going up. When I left NH, they were up to $5.90 a pack. Down here they are just over $5.00 a pack.
I switched to having one or two cigars a day which help quite a bit in the need to have something in my hands and the need for nicotine has diminished as well.
With time, we shall see grin

Earl

p.s. Shelia is happy with the idea of my quitting cigarettesgrin

RE: How recent is your picture on your profile?

It's about a year and a half. Was taken during our wedding grin

RE: Deleting A Form/Thread?!?

It would be nice if we could at least edit our posts with a certain time limit to do it. Most forums I've been in, this option is included

RE: The People I hate on CS... in alphabetical order.....

I'm sure I'd probably be on someone's list if she were still here instead of being bannedgrin

RE: OMW-the new GM

If it weren't for the auto workers union demanding this and that in effect giving those workers what amounts to approx. $70 an hour............

RE: Who matches who on this site?

Peaches and Raygrin

RE: Madonna to adopt another orphan.

What ticks me off the most about her and others who adopt a child from another country is the fact that there are plenty of children here in the USA that are in need of adoption
Personally, I believe we should take care of our own before anyone else

Earl

RE: what is the charity of your choice...

American Heart Association

Heart disease runs in the family

RE: What Women Want In a Man!!

While your information seems very accurate, professor

It seems one of the most valuable things I've learned about men in my years is that they like "everything simple" thus maybe some will not see the value in some many words, but would warm up to the same ideas with a more "straight forward" approach, course one of these paragraphs said as muchapplause

Thanks for sharinghug

PS..I would try to explain the magic, but only a Lady who rides can understand the relationship between her "ride" and the connection between "Woman & Machine"

RE: Are any of you making a long distance relationship work?

Shelia and I are one of those "success stories"grin

We met right here in these forums. She lived in NC and I was in NH. We talked thru IM, email and on the phone. Over a period of about a year and a half, we both travelled to see each other for long weekends and a week here and there. As of July 14 this year, we will celebrate our second wedding anniversary.

The past three months has been rough as I came back to NH to get re-established before moving her up. I was hoping to get back with my former employer but they have been shut down since Jan and as for any other jobs, they are scarce.
As of this Thur, I'm going back to NC where I'm going to try and get into a state job. They are build a new and larger school bus garage meaning they will be hiring more people. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Any other moves will be together. Screw this being apartgrin

LDR's will work if you have patience

RE: Who is your on your screen now....Who is your favorite screensaver

I have a picture of a lightning bolt that I took with my digital camera on my desktop.

I have two that I've taken which were not easy to get. I ended up using the video function and then editing to get the still

RE: Ever thought about living on a Barge ???

I have no inclination for living on a boat.

After living on a 378 footer, the USCGC Hamilton for ten months, no thank yougrin

Shelia and I are thinking of living in a camper at a campground once we unload the house. The seasonal rate at a campground we checked out is just under $300 plus we can hook up and go elsewhere for a weekend whenever we want. Good part is the money we can save up for toys................(motorcycle) grin

RE: What's With Connecting Singles

I've sent emails and have had responses back within 24 hours, but then they all had to do with scammersgrin

Earl

RE: What's the first thing you do when you wake up?

Push the cats off my chest so I can sit up laugh

Earl

RE: Does life exist on other planets

Thinking we are the only lifeforms in the universe would be like living in the middle of Manhatten thinking you are the only one there.

There has to be other races out there. We can't be the only ones

Earl

RE: which is more ignorant? believing there is a god or believing there is no possibility of one?

The way I see it, I believe what I want, you believe what you want.
My wife believes and I support her even tho I don't believe

Earl

RE: What do you think of Obama's job as President right now?

He's shown that he's just as much a liar as any other politician. He just recently signed a bill that had approximately 9000 projects, also known as pork-barrel spending.
And he did this after claiming he wouldn't during his presidential campaign.

Be interesting as to where else he breaks his word
