Dad worked with his hands. He was a metal spinner. Hard hands. But, his strong hands and the fact that he worked with them, set my attitude towards what a man was. I was to be a lawyer, marry a suit. Neither happened. I married an auto mechanic. I told mom, how could I settle for a soft suit when I knew men worked with their hands and backs. When he finally quit his lathe, mom said he mentioned to her that it was months before he finally got all the cup grease and metal black out of his hands.

I lived through the Vietnam war years. TV news showed films of death and destruction til we paid little heed to it. Now real life is hidden while video games and movies portray the worst bloody thing it can. We became used real life and knew the facts. Kids for a few gens now think horror is CGI and cool.
If one studies history, you see the way rich and royals who were pampered and catered to turned into monsters as adults.
That is way kids shoot. They never hunted. Never saw what real death is caused by guns. We need to go back to reality that is not CGI.

I am puzzled that when some subject gets too involved, some people whine this is a dating site. Isn't part of any dating, getting to discuss similarities and differences? Do we live in a fairy tale where all a couple talk about is light, airy and silly? Relationships have been destroyed when someone hides ideas until suddenly it is brought to the forefront. You believe in...? WELL! I dont! You think that this is the way to? You are a terrible person. With luck it happens before marriage and not after.
I wonder how much Meg pulled the wool over Harry's eyes. If true she is sterile, did he know before they married? How much does she feed into his paranoia and furthers it? What chance do children have to grow up normal in a toxic home like it seems these two have?

I question the facts surrounding the kids. Her sister declared that Meg had a hysterectomy ten years ago. Then words say she had eggs frozen. There are question about the baby bump which in some photos do seem wacko. I wonder how much mothering they get from her tho. OR him. Seems a difference between keeping out of the lime light and being indifferent to raising them.
What irks me is the victim hood attitudes. William lost his mother also. And dealt with it. Harry uses it as an excuse for being self centered.
Both of them are attention hogs and don't care who they tear down as long as they get it. And make money.
The other questions are the issue with DNA and the kids place in the royal lineage. Meg wants the kids hidden so no authority "witnessed" the births. Yet she demands their titles after saying they wanted nothing to do with the royal family.

If pizza is fresh, crust is firm, then pick up and eat. Reheat in micro or frozen with lots more cheese, start with knife and fork until battle is won.
Mayo and sour cream are the tops. I think I could eat wood chips if slathered with either.

I find it the height of gall when the poor checker is ordered to ask the customer to round up. Why is it their job. And they get told off, not the store. I rarely tip ever. I bar-tended at the neighborhood tavern and never got tipped. Mom said that was rude. I said so what..a farmer comes in and buys a tap beer...what is he suppose to do..tip me a penny?
Tipping used to be for service above and beyond. Not slamming your plate on the table and gripping anything else? I worked in service many years. I never got nor expected a tip for doing my job. That is what a paycheck is for.
I refuse to use self check out. What next? I go back to the loading dock, unload the pallets, take it up front and put it on the shelf and then give them my money? All an excuse for a corporation to screw their employees and get away with not hiring them to start with.
Mom volunteered when young for 28 different charities. As bookkeeper, she noticed the board got a salary and expenses. She asked what percent of collected actually went to the recipients. After rent, office equipment, conventions, salary for upper..one percent. She ran out her terms at each and quit. Thanks chump. There are "expenses" you know.

A neighbor once told mom she hadnt picked up a book in 7 years. Mom was So that is something to be proud of? My guy cant hold attention in a book. I feel sorry for him. Reading is the best escape their is. For him it is youtube. My dad read even if it was time consuming for him. He learned English as his second language so took time to translate in his mind. But, he still read.

My boarder brought home a Rubin from Abby's. I like them. Took a bite. He said that is Thousand Island dressing which is the correct recipe. NOOOOOOOOO! Corned beef get horseradish sauce. He looked it up and that is the original recipe. Well! I never had it that way. Next time tell them no Thousand Island on it.
New things, by the way. I took a trip way north once. To Door County. I see signs along the road. Pasties for sale ahead. So there are so many burlesques and strip joints up here they have stands that sell pasties? I see a stand and stop. Ask, Guy laughed...paaa sties. Not pAAA sties. They are Cornish meat pies made with rutabaga, cabbage, taters and meat. Miners used to take them down below for lunch. Oops. I like them too.

People consume food in a favored way. The most talked of is Oreo cookies. And which way is right. I am a pull apart and eat white frosting first and end up with two chocolate wafers.
Some people eat like wolves and their only concern is shove it in as fast as they can. Do they even taste their food?
I have a chocolate bunny I am breaking pieces off and dunking in hot coffee. New idea to me thanks to stirring spoons. But, remember getting the bunnies for Easter. I had a specific task for them. Some were hollow, some solid. My system was first had to pop the eye off and eat that. Hard candy eyes. Then break off an ear. Then the other ear. Of course if it had ornaments of hard, those went first too. Then break off section. I shared some with mom cause dad always gave her these horrid fondant decorated eggs which we both loathed. Dad never got the hints. She would ask me for a piece of chocolate, which I was glad to share.
Then the condiments. Ketchup goes on fries and burgers. Mustard goes on pork sandwiches and horse radish on beef. Don't screw it up! Hellman's mayo only...Miracle whip good only for deviled eggs and mac salad.
Do not put anything on avocado nor shrimp. Both are perfect as nature made them. Only thing on shrimp is melted butter.

Too many books and not enough lifetime. I used to sit down and read a book in a couple hours or so. Now lucky to have time to read before bed and a book takes a month. Reading is a way to turn off the brain. Think about a plot that you have no influence or chance of changing it. I write too. Even though I am book crazy, at the same time I wonder why. Why do humans write. And why do I care to read their ideas? In the over all scheme of life, what good is reading fiction. Yet humans have a passion for putting thoughts and ideas on paper for others,

Nah...now we owe the government and schools and welfare. Parents raise their kids and assume when they are old, the kids will reciprocate by taking care of the parents when they need help. Yeah right. The new generations are too busy to be bothered. Shove them in a home, that is how these kids have been taught. My gen was responsible. Perhaps to the degree that some of us ended up with no life doing that care. But, that is what love is. See your future cause as you do is as you will get.

Status should mean how good a person is. What they have earned. Unfortunately now it comes down to money. And the fools who look up to those who have it and down on those who dont. Funny thing I have learned in life. The poor are often the most generous. And the rich the stingiest. My parents talked about the ones who didnt have a pot nor a window to throw it out of. Mom talked about the wanna be's she saw pulling their yacht style boat behind their Cadillac heading to their one bedroom one bath hovel in the ghetto. But, to them, they had status.

Anyone who think digital is the way to go should talk to the people who had all that crypto currency stolen. Any time the governments want to, all they have to do is pull all currency like Germany did with the Mark and say turn in all cash in exchange for what we chose to give you in trade. With digital, how much easier can it get? Every time I run into issues due to the fact that I am a Luddite, I think about all those people who do without due to poverty, education and others. No! I do NOT do apps. By choice. I do not own a high end smart phone. I dont do podcasts. Maybe those homeless and poor dont have any of it either. And how many of them are there around the world. It is not just us boomers who chose to avoid this age of tech. There are millions who can't afford it, have access to it or have no cards with a chip to pass over a scanner. That is why digital will not work. I get angry at those who can't understand the whole world doesn't walk around with a thousand dollar phone glued to their ear. Or game. Or own a tablet, PC, laptop, printer and an Xbox. Those who can't understand everyone can't download their app, scan that code on the TV or magazine. It is the equivalent of of a farmer who can't understand why everyone doesn't know how to milk a cow in a modern milking parlor. Or plant a crop in a 100K computerized tractor. The haves can't see the have nots.

No idea if it will be on TV. Probably not patience enough to sit through all of it. I hate ceremonies and parades and pageants. People cant do anything without hoop-la. Just get on with it..we are just two legged beasts...only impressed with our selves. Just excuses to eat and get drunk.

Maybe because we are older and want someone who shares our memories. Maybe because American men have a tendency to not grow up until 40! Or never. The younger generations are messed up. They are entitled to have everything given to them without working for it.
It is a sad statement of people these days when finding a hard worker who isnt afraid of work even if it means getting their hands dirty is something one notices. WOW! That 18 year old man is a mechanic, that 25 year old is a plumber, a farmer, a auto tech, carpenter or whatever.
We want a man, not a mamas boy. And unfortunately, that usually means an older gen man. Same goes for women. Women that are younger want to be taken care of, not the old fashioned wife.
Older mean maturity in thought, stability, knowledge, and someone who knows who they are, where they are and what they are. Not that every man is that of any age.

Agree on that. No way I would take any high profile position. What a pain. Even Kings and royalty get dumped on. The history of the human train is that no government lasts forever. That includes democracy. Man is a hunter gather. He seeks the easiest path with the fastest and most rewards. And falls hook, line and sinker for what ever clown promises a free ride. The idea that majority rules is a joke. The minority that screams the loudest makes sure they rule.

No one. I have had trust for parents and spouses. But, dad taught me when a child that a promise made can be changed by time and circumstance. So the best intentions can be a broken trust due to life interfering. A person may wish well and then life says, guess what..NO!

Figuratively and real. Reason why I hate lumber cutters who send me cards my woods needs harvesting. Sorry, you cant HARVEST that which you do not plant! I have trees hundreds of years old in my woods. Trees no living human today will ever live to see grow that big. And I do put my arms around them. Go up to a huge maple, hug arms around as far as can get and look up. And up. And up. Think about all it has seen and weathered. They touch the earth and touch the sky. No one is allowed to cut any trees on my farm unless dead or threatening a building. Altho I did cut a small hickory once that kept getting in the way of our trucks when cutting firewood. After 3 years of waltzing around it..ENOUGH!

We have joined the ranks. When a competitor threatens the Dictator, they fall out a window, get poisoned or tossed in jail. Putin tried to kill his competitor. That failed. Fool returned to Russia and got tossed in jail. Handy way to stay in power. Eliminate the competition.
Now the Dems who have hated Trump from day one and can't ignore him into obscurity, are trying to toss him in jail. Gee..sounds just like Russia and a few other third world countries. Even Israel smacks of dictatorship now.
I am not a fan of Trump by any means. But, at least he threw a wrench into the good old boys club that runs this country. I see how the last two years of Brandon has destroyed us. Two more and will there be anything left?

I disagree with groceries being food. Ever look at what some buy at checkouts? That is not FOOD! Like Lunchables, fruit roll ups, pre-made prepackaged chemicals.
I can cook anything from primitive to fancy. Mostly though what I grew up with. Potatos, roasts, steaks, chops, casseroles. I like the basic foods. If one has good basics, there is no need to flood it with spices and seasonings. Now adays, I swear if a dish doesn't burn your mouth out, one can't sell it. Nature created flavors that are great all on their own. Hot peppers are good mainly for hiding the taste of rotten meat and killing off bacteria.

No. I am more polite and self censor. Just like in public. I don't post what I think all the time and watch my language. In real life, with the people I know, I can say what I think and how I wish to say it. I have prejudices and am a biker chick so if I write like I may be in real life, I would be kicked out.
