I dont think I changed much except to become even more independent of the world. I saw the changes at reunions. The fifth the kids were still the same. The tenth was a bit more easy and not so tense. By the 20th most had figured out their paths and the nose in air ones were still impressed with themselves but not as much. Some kids had become their parents and acted older. By the 40th it was..wow..we are all still alive...glad to know you! I am looking at my 55th this fall. Now it will be the who on earth is that..yow..what happened to them?! who died?...well his doctor said he has!...you havent changed a bit..well you have, you lost your eyesight!

Yes, no and maybe. I think I remember previous lives. Do I? Or is it just imagination? I believe life is just electricity and when we die, it returns to the universe. It gets recycled. Do memories? Or not. I know one thing...I dont want to return to earth again. I am too tired of lives and cant deal with another one.

Laugh at some and not at others. Some poke fun and if funny, then laugh..nothing is meant by it. Silly cat videos make me smile or laugh. Comedians who make jokes about real life we all suffer through.
What I do NOT find humorous are pranks. I see a new show on TV that they prank people others want done. Pranks are cruel and mean. I marvel that more people dont get killed when a prank is thought real.
And why do people like to watch others get scared or tortured mildly?
My dads prank was asking me if the butter had turned after he sniffed and sniffed. And offering to me so I would sniff and then push it onto my nose. Not mean, just silly. Not harmful..just a laugh between us. Even long after I knew the trick, I still "fell" for it out of love.

Bidenomics wants us to believe all is rosy. Forget all the thorns. The real pic? People got spoiled or raised spoiled so no way they will cut back. Plus they saved the stimulus cause trapped at home. Now they have gone hog wild spending it.
The media pumped them up on how great the future looked for country going to boom times.
When the savings ran out and vacation still beckoned, the fairs and concerts called and restaurants re-opened, paychecks tried to cover all of it, plus higher prices. Inflation raised it's head. Government wants us to buy, buy, buy and then crab because high demand for products allows companies to raise their prices.
Rents are up, houses are up, gas is up, food is up thanks to controls on food. Now what..well..dip into those CDs, 401 Ks and spend. Have equity in your home, use that to spend. You took all these years to pay down the mortgage..and then turn around and pound it up again. But, hey...that loan is lower interest.
A neighbor lost his house that way. Every time they built equity, they spent it. Til the mortgage was under water and the bank took the house.
No equity..hello credit cards. Spend spend spend.
What is ahead? School and $900 for supplies. What on earth do they buy? New everything? And schools supply stuff including free 3 meals a day.
Hello Christmas. Can't let that go without more spending, borrowing,scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Guess what? The well has run dry. It is now February. Bills have come due. Heating costs have gone up. Gas has gone up. People have been laid off from those tourist trap summer jobs. Sales plummet. More lay offs.
And the reality of Bidendreamnomics shows the truth.

Rosy bidenomics

At this stage of life, I have no money worries. Can pay for whatever. But, my dad lived through the inflation after WW1. He was paid at noon and went to the factory gate along with co-workers to hand the money to whatever relative was waiting. Those relatives ran to the store to buy anything. He was paid again at quitting time and did the same. The Mark was losing money by the hour. Women went to the store with a basket of bills to buy bread and milk. He predicted this country would go that path.
I started out making $1.35 an hour. Gas was .28 during the gas wars and we still had to do .50 at a time. When I made $11 an hour I was in hog heaven.
Used to spend $20 and walk out with 2 or 3 bags of groceries. Now get 3 items. I can spend what I want. But, refuse to get ripped off.
The idiot thinking is that people need higher wages. Without stopping to think that when wages go up, prices go up. They make more money til can't afford to buy the item they produce. Owners will not cut profits. So it is a never ending climb until we fall off the other side.
No Biden is not the only cause. He is just a puppet for the Democrat aristocracy. He is the senile chump who gets to stand up, or fall over, and read the script he is told too.
And I don't care if things fall apart comes winter. I am a prepper/survivalist, well armed and well stocked. No debt, no mortgage, no medical bills, or anything else. But, I will feel sorry for the working poor who will suffer. And laugh my butt off at the spend thrift spoiled ones who refuse to conserve or do without their $1000 phone and hundreds of dollar concert tickets and $6 lattes. I will watch the riots of illegals when they get tossed out of hotels the homeless vets can get or working poor and the blacks who get ticked off cause their ice cream is locked with chains.

Saw on news where restaurants somewhere are tacking a service charge onto the bill. No, not for a tip. They say costs are up so they need more. Well, then raise the meal price, not sneak a service fee on at the time one pays. Some are 10% and up to 20%!
I think the "service fee" is the most crooked idea ever devised. I saw the first ones long ago on an order form from a catalog. I called and said what? Guys said well someone has to pull, pack and mail. I said isn't that the cost of business? So I want an item for a couple of bucks and then I have to pay 6 shipping or a service fee of 3? Yep. Fine. I guess if you dont want my small orders, I won't be doing my large ones with you either.
The phone company tacks of fees like mad, including for their truck to drive around.
Service fees and charges are a rip off. Imagine walking into a store and they say $5 please to walk in.

Whomever thinks bidenomics is a boom is living in la la land. I rarely go into town or shop. Did Monday cause3 had to be in town for dentist. So stopped at Walmart. Prices are nuts! One thing I check, not that I need due to my hens, but, eggs, ...$1.58 a dozen. I have seen them lower this spring at a buck. So they are back up. And no reason. I have a dozen hens and they lay eggs like mad because this is summer.
What I check is meats. And no sale flyers offer plain family packs of hamburger. Everytime is is ground round or sirloin or chuck. And average is almost 5 a pound. Now it that due to grilling? Or due to the fact that people are not buying those cuts at higher prices. I buy primals of prime rib and pay $7 a pound. No way I will pay close for inferior cuts.
I will laugh this winter when bidenomics flushes down the toilet.
I guess women are more attuned to prices to guess how the country is doing. At least we don't have our heads in the sand like some men.

Rosy bidenomics

According to the Dems and brandon, the country is on the ups. The economy is booming which is the platform they are pushing for the 24 election.
But, then the news mentions the fact that people are tapping 401Ks and credit cards. The card debt is the highest in a long time. The reason...people refuse to cut back, do without, or economize.
Now, jobs go begging. Yet the unemployment is down. Maybe..just maybe..it is because in summer, there are a ton of temporary jobs to fill the needs of tourism? And maybe, comes fall and cold, those jobs will go bye bye?
People will run out of disposable money. Max out the credit cards which it seems, they can't figure out they WILL have to pay the piper.
Went to wally world for the first time in months and months. Prices on some goods are still out of line to what I will pay. Bite me! Don't need, won't buy. The super center has done a total make over. The old game of hunt for it and by the way, buy this you passed on the hunt. There are a bunch more checkouts...double rowed. Self service was used but the bulk were in the checker ones. Now why add a gazillion registers when they only open a few?
I saw more shoppers buying a few items than full carts. I found a throw on clearance that I looked for on sale last FALL. So they still hadn't sold and after 6 months gave in. Prices are high..1.58 for a dozen eggs when others are at a buck. I have hens so don't really care.
I predict this winter brandons dreams will go down the toilet. People will be laid off or fired. Heating costs will hit people. People will run out of disposable cash and hunker down for winter. This will cause concern so it will snowball as people are filled with doubts about a recession.

Correction as to hires, its 187K not 87. If you drive in cities, you see a guy by an intersection by shopping centers with a sign. Sometimes they ask for work, often just a handout. I guess cities have more pan handlers on the streets. That is what stinks with all the illegals. We have our own homeless..even Vets..and they depend on a shelter. Meanwhile these illegals get a phone, put up in nice hotels, get medical care and free food and clothes. I thought charity starts at home. Guess not.

My parents were 25 years apart. He didn't want kids because he thought he was too old. Mom told him her dad died at 45 when she was nine so age is not a good factor. But, I think 20 is the most. When dad died, mom was 55 and had his mind set of 70s. So spent the last years acting like an old woman.
I see the age gap when it comes to thinking, morals, experience, ideas and health. It strikes me as insane when I see some movie actor with a young woman who is birthing his baby when he is 75 or 80! Better have a ton of money to leave her.
Sorry kid, can't play ball with you. Swim with you. Or even stay up late to watch a movie with you.

Mom hung sheers in my bedroom. I told her I didn't like those curtains. She said she did and that was that. So I being young, got the brain storm that if I got scissors and cut into them, she would view them as ruined and take them down.
She saw what I had done and was very sad. Said why did I do that to them. I told her my idea. She said no, they stay. She got a needle and thread and sewed the small couple of cuts up. Those curtains stayed up til I was a teen I think. Sorry I made you sad mommy. You only thought to make my room pretty.

Sad part of now is the attitudes of homeless. When I was young, there were hobbos. They did steal, but, more begged. And many of them knocked on doors and asked if there was some work they could do for food or maybe a buck or two.
Today they hang on street corners begging and then at quitting time, walk to their Mercedes and drive home.
If one did knock on a door, people are scared to answer since they are more likely to rob them then work.
Around here, it is unusual to find any young person who is willing to work. If they do, they demand 25 an hour or wont. No kids to hire to do yardwork or snow shoveling. No young men working for a trade.
Sad when one notices a hard working ambitious young person. They used to be plentiful.

Ah yea, same old ploy. Bradon is counting on all he has done to make the country boom to get him another 4 years in his basement. But, saw the report this noon. Unemployment is down. 87K new jobs. Well..not the 200K they hoped for but.. Then look at where those jobs are. Tourist, service, etc jobs. Retail too. Ignore the jobs lost in the other sectors like manufacturing and upper management that fell.
Now, I wonder, what happens to those jobs once September hits. Oh, don't need that lifeguard at the pool anymore? Don't need that extra staff at the resorts, hotels and restaurants? See ya, been nice to know you. Unemployment? Sorry, we kept you under 30 hours a week.
Retail...Hello Christmas, good bye New Years.
I live near a tourist trap town. One million go through in summer..regular population, a couple thousand. The owners are desperately trying to make stuff for year round. Even tho, most of the stores close for winter that are not the all inclusive resorts with water parks up the wahzoo! I guess their attitude is give us your money and go soak your head.
Much of the help is J1s which are kids from foreign countries brought in for 3 months since no teens in the US feel the need to work.
It will be interesting how winter pans out. Less jobs, higher prices, heating costs, sticking at home.

I have known many suicides. A farmer who got frail and old and had told his family when that day came he would. And did to not burden his family. One who drank to oblivion along with his wife and had a miserable existence. Another whos life after Nam was a mess, drank to the point of smashing his car up cause he didn't care. Another man whos wife drove him to hell and back and he said why live.
In the last two years, a 20 year old because his girlfriend left him.
In the other cases, they felt they were doing their family a service. In the last, a boy who never was taught by society to have coping skills. The young are ignorant of the fact that dead is dead. Forever. They feel their lives have no use or wish to punish others.
That is what makes suicide a selfish act.
My dad told me about the time he contemplated it. He had survived war, divorce and losing his factory. He said he was sitting on a bench by the river, stuffing cardboard in his shoe to cover a hole. He looked at the river and thought what is the use. Why go on when it always turns to crap.
A pigeon flew over and dropped a doody on his head. He said he thought yep..as far down as one can get and then a bird uses you for a toilet. And he stared to chuckle and finally laugh. No matter how far down you go, there is always worse that could be. So he got up, went and found a job, saved and started up in business again. That time he faced another bankruptcy and divorce. And started again and that time ended up with everything I knew him with. That is called strength.

1984. There are cities in the US where they ban cars from certain areas at certain times. And charge so much to park to discourage cars. We have some states with toll roads too. Of course roads are not maintained.
The joke is with all the bull about reducing carbon, this year the carbon has GONE UP! With the aging population in countries, and the rural nature of the US, how are people supposed to get to where they have to go?
I would like a bus to go by me. Fat chance. What is dumb is in winter the school bus passes twice a day. How simple to hop on it. Hire a taxi? $15 to get to town and $15 to get back home. Guess one has to do all the shopping only at one store cause otherwise have to pay to change stores and haul what you buy.
While we cut back, China builds a new coal fired plant per WEEK!

I dated one long ago. Merlin. Super nice guy. Married and divorced twice. Worked steady. I never thought about it until someone asked me once if I ever saw Merlin drunk. And I said actually, I don't think I ever saw him sober! He said his life was hopeless. My husband and I ran into him in a bar a couple years later. Husband said he was welcome to visit, just cause I got married, no reason to stop being buddies. He said no car..riding a bicycle. Living with his parents again. Who were both alcoholics. Guess it got so he couldn't work anymore.
One day in town ran into an old acquaintance. He said if I knew Merlin had died. Came home and told husband. He said you know how..go to courthouse and check death certificates. Sure enough..dead at 45 of heart attack. Poor guy.
Neighbor friend is ex alci...sober for 40 years or more. He said one is NEVER over it. Always must stay on guard.
Life with one is no bed of roses..best to avoid it.
