Acronyms drive me bats.

To the broads who don't like what I say..don't click on my posts. Simple.
I know what you mean...me and them..me and my whatever. Shows how schools teach today. I and whomever. Or better yet, whatever and me. Polite way, put them first.

I say it took a million years for man to climb out of the caves and trees. And now seems more and more are climbing back up. Cycles tho. Once people cheered at gladiators, hangings and burnings. All before it was broadcast via media.

Acronyms drive me bats.

I know a few..like the letters used like ETS, Asap, Fubar..lol. But, these days it seems no one can spell out anything. And half the time, they ASSUME everyone knows what the acronyms means. Read a magazine, there they are. Listen to news, more of them. Are people so lazy or so much of a rush they can't let the peons into their private world? If a writer wants to reduce to letters for some long name, then at least in the first mention, write out or say the full wording, then go to the acronym. No wonder people can't communicate anymore.
On that idea..why can't any name of a company or society or charity settle for leaving SOMETHING out of their title. The Society of the prevention of the subject of the section of the object that is subject to...ARGH!!!!

How easy when old to look at people and wonder if they missed the train when they said brains. Look at those young people carry on. In MY day. No, we didn't do that. But..we did other dumb stuff. Hit the bars and get drunk. Why do people do that? I...yeah..I did. Maybe with more finesse and thinking than most..but in 20s..did it too. Drive like a nut. Why can't they drive sensible. I never...well...
With age comes wisdom. Or at least sense. Are todays young more reckless? Dumber. I like to think so. But, I am sure my parents generation thought the same. You know..those ones who drank moonshine, danced til they dropped in contests, tipped over outhouses and raced those 32 Fords.
Time moves on and people never change.

I feel for the Queen. Highs and lows. His outspoken abrasive manner. But, decades of facing the world back to back. Her tried and true cohort is gone. The one she knew she could tell truth to. She knew his days were numbered. But, yet the end when it came was still a shock. She will carry on. She always has. Buck up, stiff upper lip, cheerio. And time to live with a huge hole in her heart that no one, not kids or grandkids can ever fill. He tried to stay and couldn't. RIP.

Animal I fear most? Human. Kills when not hungry. Or protecting self or young or mate. Kills for fun.Kills gor greed.
Other animals? Wolverine..only one that holds a grudge. Grizzly who is born with a mad on. Those are the two I never want to meet.

Dont think for a minute those cautions are out of caring for stupid people. They are there only to save corporate butts from law suits. If companies cared so much they wouldnt fill food with chemicals, salt, sugar and bits of machinery that broke off. Do you think they care that they feed white slime to kids, or all the rest of the junk food?
The Darwin Award was thought up to give to people who are so lazy they want Big Brother to baby them, rather than use their brains to figure out ice cream contains milks. Or peanut candy has nuts.
Lawyers think up every way idiots can sue. Half try to protect corporations and the other half how to sue them.
It is called the dumbing down of the people. Teach them to obey.

Gods are created in mans image. All religions preach love and charity and then tell their followers to go force and convert or kill. If one kills another it is a sin. If they wage a holy war and kill, it is OK.
Jesus was a Rabi. Possibly a good man. But, the concept of Gods son who was God who was a ghost...who the heck dreamed that one up! Religions are purposely confusing. And the priests who interpret it make it up as they choose. All religions are written by men, used by men and excused by men.
You want a higher power? Walk outside and look at a tree, a frog, the sun moon and stars.
There is your higher power. And guess what...to it, you are no more than an ant crawling along. Pray all you want. It it decides to slam you into dust, it will. No rhyme nor reason. Just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Tanzila..good one... The problem is when Big Brother baby sits us too much, we lost the ability to think for ourselves..hmmm ..or is that the intent?
When I was a kid, supervision was be back for supper. And don't slam the door. My parents had confidence they had taught me common sense..like don't jump off the barn roof. They had kept an eye on me til they did. Todays parents either helicopter or set the kid on a game computer or internet and ignore them. Dont do anything to upset the kids. Don't take them to a funeral cause it upsets them. Do say no. And plaster items with every warning cause some moron will misuse and then sue for THEIR stupidity.

Goes for women or men. With age comes wisdom..and reality. The world doesn't revolve around you like your parents. There is no free ride and handouts come with a price. Each passing decade teaches one more until you have the knowledge and skills of a sage...and then you croak!

Two tricks. One is instant coffee. The second is don't boil the water for tea and take the tea bag out after only a couple minutes. I tend to leave mine in and then that is why tea is bitter.

America is lucky. Women are allowed to walk around not hidden in a bed sheet. I was an only child. I had to be the son dad needed on the farm. And the daughter mom needed in the house. I learned the ways of both. The bottom line with gender is it doesn't matter how one dresses. There is that little thing called chromosomes. XX or XY. And when a corpse is found desiccated in the woods, it is decided male or female. Also by the pelvis which is different male to female. All the rest is just an illusion.
Did I wish to be a man when I saw what they were allowed to do. Or the strength they had. Sure. Did I wish to be sentenced to work my life away or get drafted to war..NO! Did I like men opening doors and jars for me. Sure. So is that part of the mixed up thinking these days? The grass is greener on the other side?

Buy a gallon of milk, and there is the warning, may contain milk. Same on ice cream! Geeze, I sure HOPE so! Peanut butter, contains peanuts. Nah! Really..I thought it was made of straw! It seems every food package now says made in a factory that may have nuts, wheat or what ever in it.
Every plastic bag has a warning, suffocation risk. Except for babies and kids, anyone stupid enough to put a plastic bag over their head, deserves to get snuffed! Does anyone not know this by now.
That song said signs signs everywhere a sign. That is what this country has become. Try driving a big city with multiple lanes. So many signs, you can't figure out which one pertains to you.
Remember the old joke about tearing the tag off the mattress. So we all left the tags on cause it said do not remove. Finally someone told us, that is for the seller, not the buyer.
Some clothing tags read like a novel. Except for the info you really want. Or they are pictures that might make sense in one country but not others.
Then there is the tear here. Which of course doesn't. One plastic chip bag rips wide open the next you need a chainsaw to get into.
I am surprised doors don't say, push open when business is open only,walk through while holding, one foot then the next until totally through it. Proceed to destination.

My guy and I gave each other a peck when he headed home. Neither of us likes kissing much so we get along. I wouldn't mind a smack a bit more than him, but I can live with it.
I DO NOT miss the french kissing my late husband liked. A wife does what a wife has to do.

As a general rule here, stores offer full service. They figure they should do something to justify their high prices. Walmart has some self service. Do you get a discount. Nope. Maybe I should go unload the semi and stock the shelves too? It is the price of doing business.
This covid has driven folks batty. I went to town. Wore double masks and vinyl gloves. Under 50 cents, keep the coins. I am following the safe at home idea. Then you see people who almost kill someone not wearing a mask. Or a herd of people partying on the beach.
When it all started rules were set out. One of them was no re-usable bags because they were in people homes and cars and could be carriers. Then there was take items out of bags outside and wipe down with disinfectant. Wear masks. Wear gloves. Then it changed again.
People hear what they want. And rationalize what they think. Common sense is lacking in some. Like the saying...penny wise and pound foolish.

I live in the wilderness. Dont have FB, never had, never will. No one I know does. The rest of the FBers..none of their business what I do. CS is my only social media to talk to a few, see what the world thinks. CS is more of a closed site. People on a date site have a more narrow focus. If they don't, they don't pay it mind. And if safer I think from pests and hackers and trolls. As long as staying on CS to communicate, no one can make trouble like to someones FB account. Plus more under the radar of corporations and govt.

Do you get enough fiber?

Read that a women needs 25 grams and a man 38 everyday to stay healthy. But, check the fiber content of foods...2 there, 4 here, 1 there. Ran into a site that listed stuff.
Want to eat apples. Want 25 grams..better eat 5 today. Carrots are good for fiber correct? Eat some baby carrots. Like...80 of them! How about the wonder blueberry. Try 7 cups today. Or 8 bananas.
If one follows these recommendations, we would do nothing all day but eat!
Now to get real. Chia seeds top the list for fiber. 34.4 grams to an ounce. Now THAT I could manage. Or air popped popcorn, 14.4 per cup. Even lentils at 7.3 a cupful or kidney beans at 6.8.
I wish those people who come up with healthy diets lived in the real world. I for one, know what would happen if I ate 5 apples a day...for days. And the idea to eat 3-5 servings of fruits and veggies a day. Of course, they don't say what a serving size is. Guess I better go...need to eat a couple cans of fruit and a bag or two frozen veggies. Or 80 baby carrots?

Memorial to he but not to thee.

TV had a big to do memorial for all the people who died from the virus. Sorry for the families of those 500,00who died. BUT...isn't that biased? The US population is around 330 million. The deaths this last year were about 2 and a half thousand. Of that 500k of the virus.
So those other 2 K people who died don't count. Oh, didn't die of the virus so go jump.
How about fair...memorial for those other 2.5K. Honor those deaths too. And for those families grieving just as much.
People lost to heart, cancer, accidents. I guess the virus is the bleed it leads to media and government.
So...heres to that other 2.5K. Your loved ones mattered also.

Sorry..dirty mind. Any fruit. Actually, seeded foods are the only ones that a plant gifts you to transport their seeds and future young.

Covid...the China virus due to the fact that that is where the first cases were reported. Simple.
Now the iffs... Shoulder injury caused by poorly trained vaccinators who do the shot wrong. Must be so far from the top of the shoulder to not hit bone.
I heard a call on scanner...woman throwing up, got second shot a week ago. Friend of my guy who went to get his shot. Then got notified he had been near someone who tested positive for covid. And heard that if you get the shot while having covid, you will get super sick. so why aren't they testing before the shot to see if someone has it? A Dr who died a week after his second shot.
How about the memorial in the Wisconsin capital for the 500k who died last year of covid. How many people died of other causes? Guess they don't matter.

Too bad it can take a month or two before side effects show up. Too bad for that Doc that died a week after his second shot. Too bad for the people who had their shots and still caught Covid. But, if they were lucky they didn't die or end up in hospital. Too bad for the people who hadn't had shots and caught covid from the idiot who was a walking carrier because he thought he was in the clear after his shots.Too bad for the people who have to get more shots cause the brand they got doesn't work as the virus mutates to better infect their new human hosts. Too bad for the people who have to get a shot every year because it wears off. BUT..hurah for the stock owners and CEOs of Big Pharma who are raking in the money off these new vaccines they get to peddle.

There have been stories like that for decades. I bet they rode Dino. Anyone remember the Cardif Giant. Last I knew he resides next town over, at Circus Wold Museum. PT Barnum bought him when he was touring the country.Discovered in..Cardif? He was thought to be a fossilized giant.
Outward appearances were super correct. It was only after decades, someone thought to drill into him. Instead of fossilized bone or organs, the core found..ROCK.
He was a major hoax. If real, the core would have displayed internal matter. It finally came out someone had carved him and foisted it off on gullible folks.

Pox on electric cars. Ask the owners in Texas how great they are now. Rolling brownouts for next couple days. Seems grid is overworked due to need for heat. But, sun isn't out so solar is gone. And the wind turbines froze and stopped. Maybe they need coal or gas fired power plants? Go plug that electric car in.
