RE: What subjects should Not be aired here...?

A guy from the States pointed it out some time back but from a different site. I came across another post by chance with piccies and cracked up.

I couldn't be bothered to post it to be honest but I'm not the only one who knows about it. The person involved will never share it that's for sure,it's far too revealing.

RE: Wind Farms Eyed In Surge Of Dead Whales On NJ, NY Beaches

A study financed by Vattenfall and a group of Norwegian partners on the island of Smøla in Norway has already examined the black dyeing of a wind turbine blade. That study showed that painting one blade of a wind turbine rotor black resulted in 70 percent fewer collision bird victims.2 Feb 2022

RE: Wind Farms Eyed In Surge Of Dead Whales On NJ, NY Beaches

Same as here Ray

As wind energy has grown in popularity, reports of birds killed by wind turbines have become more common. Few studies have investigated the phenomenon, but estimates suggest that between 10,000 and 100,000 birds are killed by turbine blade strikes annually in the UK.

We should adopt the Norwegian idea and paint one of the wind turbines black as apparently it has cut down deaths by 70%handshake

I thought all beaches were public property in Bulgaria.. Seems you have a few people that think differently and are planting it with grass.dunno

RE: Fancy words just confuse...

Not by any means but that is down to money ,birthright, position in life etc etc etc

We are all born ,have red blood, and at some point will die so in that case we ARE on equal terms. It's what happens between life and death that sets us aside from each other and sometimes not in a good way.

RE: Fancy words just confuse...

No I don't mean superior, that is your choice to label people as such.

I just wish people would stop sticking pins in each other and trying to score points. No-one person is superior to another whatever one thinks.handshake

RE: Fancy words just confuse...

No but I do admire intelligent conversation. Did you know that the English language is derived from a Western Germanic language ?

RE: Fancy words just confuse...

English is the largest language in the world for both native and non-native speaker so forgive us if we "prevaricate" on occasions.

RE: Wind Farms Eyed In Surge Of Dead Whales On NJ, NY Beaches

Whaling for profit was banned in 1986. But, reluctant to give up the market for whale meat and products, Japan, Iceland and Norway continue to hunt and kill whales every year.

What happens in the Faroes every year is appalling also.

Let's lose a few Oranguntans to make way for Palm farms.

We must have some kind of balance in our World or we will end up destroying it.sigh
