There is no known case of AIDs being transfered by Mosquitoes, if any blood is taken fron an infected human, it is drawn into the insects gut where the virus will die, therefore it will not infect the insects next victim.

Umm have you ever been to England??

When they have a sunny summer it can be one of the most beautiful places on earth, it does not rain all the time, They just joke about that, as for sleet, that occurs in only Jan feb mainly so you tend to get 10 months of variable weather.

As for beaches, well let’s just say that they have some of the most beautiful beaches in the northern hemisphere, sandy and sheltered from the wind or rocky and open to the elements, Wales has among the longest sandy beaches in Europe.

Then of course there is the long and fascinating history, what with Anglo Saxon, Romans Normans, Kings Queens etc etc, rather than ex cons who ended up abusing and belittling the local inhabitants.

So what now?

In all honesty? I have no idea

But I think mankind has become very arrogant, to assume we are the only intelligent life in this universe, to assume that we are better than all other life forms. To make life threatening decisions to those who think different.

I like the idea that we are on a stepping stone, we live and learn in order to move on to a new level, that ultimately we will all live in peace and harmony side by side, without the constrictions of religion or laws in true happiness and contentment.

Hey it's a dream okay,

We are of course a freak of nature, but we have the capacity to make something truly wonderful, we have love and intellect, we have communication and understanding, with these in the right places we can, at the very least, live peacefully and strive towards contentment.

No not so, I was never told this and would never say such to any of my children, sure I like TV, but have gone pretty much without for the last 3 months and not missed it, there is so much more to life than sitting watching TV while a machine does some work for you.

Me too, I guess I am in a pondering mood I believe there is more to life than watching TV and sleeping, For me I believe that love has a far greater meaning than we give it credit, we as people have passion and that passion needs to be fulfilled, be it with food wine song laughter or love, when we have completed something we are passionate about we have this innate sense of achievement, which drives us on to even higher passion

You see my theory is that Religion was created in order to answer this question, then it just got out of control when people realised how powerful religion can become.

Why are we here on planet Earth? What is the real answer to the oldest question know to mankind, If you believe in God and have a faith that gives a few ideas, but what if you’re a non believer? What then, do you think we are here for?

To procreate and continue our race? Why for what benefit?
Surely there is no real purpose to life, we just exist, same as any other living cell, that we have progressed to communication and making rational thoughts is not really the point.

So my question is, are we here as some creation of a god to carry out some strange plan?

Or are we just nothing other than a few atoms that by a freak of nature have bonded together without any rhyme or reason?

Or something else?

Sometimes I think being a dog or better still a Mere cat would actually be a rather nice way to live.

At least wild animals know who their enemies are.

That does not make me a Satanist, a heretic maybe but devil worshiper no way

I do believe, have a long and total faith, but in something that I discovered many years ago.

That some may or may not believe in your God is not a problem, but when religion (as opposed to God) causes so much death and destruction maybe you should be asking some questions of your church leaders

I hoped to form a lasting relationship with a Ukrainian, but even though I visited three or four times, she was never allowed a visa to visit the UK, sadly due to that the relationship ended.

Well done your daughter for fighting the bureaucracy, something really should be done to make this simpler, or maybe these countries don't want to become the same as the UK when presented with an EU passport?? !!

I am trying to obtain residency here in Italy, as without it you cannot open a bank account, buy a car etc etc, but the paperwork involved is just horrendous, plus you either need to prove you have enough money to support yourself for two years or have full time employment, which in my case is impossible to prove as I am self employed.

That I have an EU passport is no guarantee that I can live and work in Italy, it's so frustrating

I was born in Kenya, I have always thought of it as my true home, however, I have a British passport now, I used to have a British Colonial but it was replaced some years ago with the EU version.
Had I a Kenyan passport I would no doubt, have had far more difficulty in travelling around the world.
I would however love to have dual citizenship but not sure that is possible. As I believe in Kenya it is done via blood rather than place of birth.

LOL, I do read most of the long posts, just have to stop and rest every so often, then when you get round to posting a reply you find 4 pages have been added so no-one actually gets to read your post in context.

I find that when reading some posts, if the post are more than 6 lines of continuous writing my mind starts to wander and I have to really concentrate to get back on track.

I don't believe that I am set in my ways, after all I am starting a new life in a new country at 50, I can't afford to be set on a one track road, I have to be flexible, and I carry that through to any relationship I have.

I do however, think you are not far off the mark for many, both male and female, They are guys/gals younger than me living nearby who to me appear like 70 statues, they just don't do anything other than work, come home watch tv sleep go to work again, even back in the UK I would go out and have a bit of fun.
