Ah, wine, it’s a love affair for me, to smell the scent and discern all the flavours that come forth, wild blackberry, oak, pepper or maybe apple, sometimes you can even smell herbs like cinnamon or ginger, all this before you even taste it. No two wines are the same, even when from the same grape as the rain, water, soil, way and when its harvested all contribute to the final flavour.

One of my most favourite of all cities is Phoenix, I worked there for a few months during my travelling the states, such a friendly city, great bars and night life, what an amazing view as you approach from out of the desert, when I moved from there to Austin,Tx what a cultural difference that was!!
Sounds Idyllic BJ, I had to sell my golf set prior to moving to Italy, boy do I miss it, was never very good but so enjoyed the game despite its frustrations, how civilized to have the courses open to the public, in the UK it has become very expensive to join a pro club, but they do have municipal clubs that cost little for a round, have yet to find one near where I live now, given time I am sure I will restart again.
Last night I was trying to teach my students the tense "READ"
I read the paper yesterday I will read it tomorrow How do you explain that the past tense of read sounds like red but still spelt read But we do have fun with these type of words and I guess that helps to remember them
If someone loves you less then in time you will find yourself wanting more, that will create a crack in the relationship that can only deepen If you love someone less, then chance will be that either the above will cause a split or you will seek someone who would deserve all your love Sommer is correct in my view, love should be balanced and equal.
In English, there is a rule which states that, "Should" is the conditional form of shall. "Would" is the conditional form of will.
Your rhetoric was not conditional so:-
the auxiliary "shall" should be used in the first person (I/we), and the auxiliary "will" should be used in the second person and third person (you, he/she/it, they)
In English today, the conditional tense is usually conjugated entirely with "would"
So therefore, Typo was more correct than you, the correct wording should have been
I never got to Pennsylvania on my travels, but I hope that when next I visit the US I do get a chance, I know its a beautiful area and as you say so wonderful places to go hiking, I also want to visit the blue ridge mountains, they sound wonderful
It was explained to me that there is just too much Roman stuff here already without adding even more, the cost of recovering a site goes into millions of Euros and all they end up with is more of the same, there is a 15 kilometre roman aqueduct that run from the mountain past my town and into central Pisa, it was the main water supply in roman times, it was still working in the early 1900's but then at a road junction they found a bus would not fit through the arch so they knocked a section out, to me sacrilege, to the Italians, progress.
Oh I can relate to this JLB, I adore Greece, would have moved there if it had been a little closer, maybe its a Mediterranean thing as here the people are much the same, always willing to help and expecting nothing in return, I am also now excepted as a local, and not only get hellos from shopkeepers but also the local pricing!! coffee 1.20 when I arrived now 80 cents, water 65 cents a litre now 20 cents, bowl of pasta with ragu, was 3 euro now 2, don’t you just love to see the tourist paying extra, oh and at my local restaurant I get wild boar or Rabbit with olives and red wine sauce stew and the newbie’s only get pasta.
I find it appalling that because of financial restraints the powers that be, have actually covered over sites where there are known whole roman villages, bathing areas and water catchment sites, they would rather they remain buried than have someone else actually uncover it, they hint that when there is the money they will be excavated, but the locals here say don't hold your breath. At least in Spain they seem more proud of their Roman history, Italy has more than they can handle it would seem.
Calci is also in the foothills, so glorious to wake in the morning and see the green mountain, covered in pine at the top then olive groves that change into vines, when I face the other way its flat all the way to the coast about 10 k and from my van I can just see the top of Pisa cathedral and of course the tower (It looks straight from this angle). We have one Hotel, but no maids with white hats, just an ancient couple who only open at lunch time and close at 9pm, most of the local go up to the top of the mountain during the hottest time of day as it's so much cooler there, also there are great Bars and restaurants and even a huge park with a kiddies playground.
Spanish history is fascinating that’s so true, but here the history is also wondrous even though the government is trying to bury most of it under concrete and rubble, because they can't afford to actually maintain the amount buried in this land and won’t let other come here and carry out archaeological digs. Sad but true.
In my small town there is a bar, a fairly large one that is open from 7am till midnight, lt’s locally known as “The Communist Bar” as this is where they meet every week on Friday evening, outside under the large canopy which has water pumped from the stream below, sprayed onto its surface to keep those below cooler. Anyway, this is a great bar, nothing like those in my home land of England, here they sell, as you would expect, beer local and imported, bottled and keg, ice cold white wine and delicious red from local vineyards, but then here is the difference, they sell coffee, Small dark strong espresso, soft frothy cappuccino, and a special espresso with sambuca and grappa ( an Italian liquor with a kick like a mule) a wonderful nightcap, and finally they sell Ice Cream, not manufactured iced lollies like Magnum or nestles mintchoc but real Italian ice cream, Lemon, strawberry, chocolate fondue, coffee and walnut, one called English soup( don't ask)melon, peach and hazelnut to name a few. How civilised, in a country that only has 3 maybe 4 months of hot summer, that here at 11:30 pm you can have a delicious mouth watering refreshing cold ice cream and wash it down with a knockout coffee. I like Italy
Ha ha, I struck a red dot on mine, after i had written it out longhand and corrected it, I must have missed my typing the e, worse was that I had the "on my arm" in my final draft but must have written alongside without thinking Ah well it was fun to do on a hot humid night it's 9:30 here and about 85 degrees and time I was in a bar
