RE: What Should Be Done to Liars on CS

You beat me to it rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Your best friend could be your worst enemy.

Life is full of experiences, we have the choice to ignore them or learn from them.

One experience that I have learnt is that what is poison to one person is wine to another.

RE: The Templars and the Red Cross Brigade...

IMO after many years of studying the Knights Templar, the evidence that there is a connection between them and freemasons is so vague as to be meaningless, it makes more sense that the Masons took names and ideas from the Knights to use in their own cult. The original Freemasons being just that, stone masons who created a "club" to support their own line of business, this later changed to become mainly well positioned business men who wanted to support each other without being known.

There is about 400 years between the demise of the Knights Templar and the creation of the Freemasons

So its decision time for me.

Thank you so much for your comments Venere, I have made the decision to follow my heart and so will move to Italy in March/April, my next action is to find a van so that I can drive there with my bits and pieces, its possible I may exchange my car for a van if I can find someone who will do this.

Lots to plan laugh and thanks again

Riz

RE: Question...

Place them lengthways in a picture frame in a symmetrical way, make for a very interesting piece of art.wine
Oh and then sell the finished result, sold in the Uk from 15 Euro up depending on the pattern.

RE: The Templars and the Red Cross Brigade...

Good point Conrad, but, it just proves that the connection between the Templars and Masons will remain mystery, maybe history will some day come up with some written proof, but don't hold your breathlaugh

RE: from tv

I would love to try "Swan", the very idea that only the British Royal family and a particular sect of the Cambridge University are allowed to try it, intrigues me. Thats here in the UK of course, but I have never seen swan on any menu on my travels.

RE: The Templars and the Red Cross Brigade...

Your account is very close to the actuality that took place, the King was Philip IV, he was a very powerful man and took advantage of a weak Pope Clement V, he arrested the then leader of the Knights Templar and tortured him mercilessly until he confessed to hideous crimes and rituals, it was the Pope, who then intervened, he asked to interview the Knights leaders and ascertain the truth. In the mean time the King seized the wealth of the knights, to pay off his considerable debts and resurrected the banking system the Templars had created.

An account of the interviews was written down and only found some few years ago, having been lost after Napoleon ransacked the archives, which seemed to confirm the details held by King Philip IV, Pope Clement V decided to hide this information and going against the King, the Pope, as the only person able to do so, absolved all of the knights templar, and they were released, much to the kings annoyance as he wanted them all dead. (Guilt??)
The resurrection of the Templar then started, this was done in secret, and exists today as what I believe would be considered a cult, I have over the years followed many of the Templers trails across the Mediterranean region, there is no doubt in my mind that their belief in the Catholic Church was total, but became clouded by their treatment by the French King and lack of support by the Vatican.
The Templars of today, are actually trying to sue the Vatican for the return of their money, yet it was the King who stole their wealth, although history shows that the Church also received huge sums of money and land from the Templars as gifts. The very existence of knights is wholly down to the Catholic church, which in my opinion they (the Templars) should be grateful.

Whether there is a connection between the Templar and Masonic lodges remains a mystery, but one that cannot be ruled out.

RE: My PC has VD...

All depends on whether you wish you download legal copies or not, can't advise on illegal software, but for legal copies just use google to find the title you want.

RE: My PC has VD...

Just as a point of interest, no-one in the trade that I know (Have been a computer engineer for 25+ years) uses Norton, its very greedy, eats memory, and almost impossible to fully remove should youwant to use a better more streamlined AV. I would take the advice offered, uninstall norton as best you can and then install AVG, oh and make sure you download AVG first, before getting rid of norton.

Frozen Shoulder

Update 2nd Jan
After taking a mixture of paracetamol and codine tablets, with some strong Ibuprofen pain killers, I can now dress myself laugh

Seriously though, I now have a dull ache which is permanently there, but I can cope with it, I now only get the bad pain when I try to move my upper arm to high or to quickly, and following some members advise I am trying to exercise my shoulder/arm as much as I can stand.

Thank you all for the support and advise, it was greatly appreciated.wine

RE: Once and for all, Riz and I are NOT involved. Australia1 is! LOL

Ok so that we can put the OP to a timely rest.let me state my position regarding my association with Australian Women.

By god they are great, wonderful and beautiful ladies

However, Venere I feel most humble that some have mistakenly taken you and I to be a couple.

As much as I admire and indeed enjoy Venere08's post and threads, and I genuinely have a great attraction for Italian/antipodean people of the female persuasion. Venere is not the one who has stolen my heart.

That person is AUSTRALIA1, with whom I spent a delicious and rewarding Christmas, in Tuscany, up a tower with a lean to one sidegrin

I wish you huge success in the new year with your new companion.

RE: Strange Names

If you check out the credits to the TV program "Cheers" you might see a Fucuto (Or it might be Fucutoo). Not on every one, just the early ones. Always wondered if it was for realgrin

RE: New hobbies for 2009

Frozen Shoulder

I believe there is no know cause, but it has been suggested that old injuries and or diabetics can be a trigger, I am type 2 diabetic and guess I have had to much sweet things over Christmas, had I known this could be a result I would have had bread and waterlaugh , but when your spending Christmas in Italy, what do you do, food is more important than air to Italians and I just wanted to fit indoh

Frozen Shoulder

I think your both right, my Dr has said he will inject steroids as a last resort. but he wants to see if time will allow my shoulder to "Heal itself", I will ask Australia1 to get me some of that cream Venere, she is returning to Aus next month so hope she can find some.

And in response to Conrad and the others, thank you for the support and advice, I will never laugh at someone who complains of Frozen shoulder again, I had no idea pain could be so excruciating.

I think I would rather experience childbirthlaugh

So its decision time for me.

Hi Gorgeous, well its all going it the right direction, like I told you, who knows what's around the corner.

When your smiling Jojo, the whole world smiles with youhug

So its decision time for me.

Did I really say that?

Well well, guess I was referring to those ignorant few that frequent the International Forum, would never have said that about the British or European sites.

Which was probably why I posted on the UK site

Lets face it, very few have arguments on the UK or EU sites, as we tend to laugh at those who try to cause friction.

Hope your New Year brings you all you deserve Mindfful

Frozen Shoulder

Anyone out there have any cures for this, I am in screaming agony at the moment, its been building up for about 2 weeks now, and last night was the worst, slept only about 30 mins. Ended up going for a walk in the frost, well its a frozen shoulder so thought the cold might help.

Have read on the internet that its virtually incurable and will fade in time, around 2 years!!!!, but I did read there are some herbal remedies that may work, so if you know of any, please tell me.

Oh and Happy New year to one and all

So its decision time for me.

Hi Guys

Well thanks for all the replies, I have made the decision now that I shall go, if it all fails well at least I will have had the experience, as some of you said, I would only spend the rest of my life thinking "What if". Cherie, is returning to Australia in a couple of weeks to see her family and then returning, by then I hope to be working and have somewhere to live.o thanks again for all your comments, I have read them all and taken them all on face value, appreciate your honesty..

Wishing everyone a wonderful and prosperous New Yearcheering

RE: Do you decorate your .............

Isn'y that what "Readers Digest" is for, I always assumed that it was supposed to be kept in the bathroom.

RE: new date

I do a mean cheese omelette with lightly grilled bacon and sun dried tomatoes. washed down with a light Spanish wine.

Nothing heavy, as that just gives indigestion later on when the mood becomes energetically romantic. grin

So its decision time for me.

I have now spent a wonderful Christmas with my lovely lady in Pisa, Italy. And have to make some hard decisions. My lease on my house runs out in April, am I am thinking of not renewing but moving lock stock and barrel to Pisa.

Now hears the Dilemma, if I move I will have nowhere to live and no job and no money.

The plus side, I can find work reasonably easy, not great pay but enough to get by on temporarily until I get settled, finding accommodation though is a problem, its either not available or very expensive .

I have checked and found that I can get cheap flights between Italy and the UK so will be able to keep up with my youngest children, their mother has agreed to them visiting me in holidays as well, so that’s a great weight off my shoulders.

So what do you guys reckon, should I go and start a new but somewhat precarious life in Italy, or stay in the UK and carry on trying to find work, which at this time seems impossible.

Any thoughts????

RE: Should we give christmas presents to inmates?

Good post Trish, spot onthumbs up

RE: Is love enough?

Because in all relationships as you become more into each other, you begin to see the things you missed in the beginning, within a true relationship if you're willing to accept them, they will simply enhance your feelings towards each other, if, however you view those changes with suspicion, then that suspicion will turn to jealousy and that, my friend will destroy the relationship.

Intensity at the beginning of a relationship is normal, after 12 months it could be interpreted as needy or desperation, neither are attractive qualities.

RE: What would you do if one day you came home unexpectedly and found your lover in bed with someone.

No I have never cheated in nearly 30 years of being in relationships, but,if you had asked both my ex's the question after being married for 3 years they would have replied with the same answer as you and with the same conviction.

Life is never perfect.

RE: I'm blue

If you find it Pleeeesseee let the rest of us know

Its driving me insanefrustrated

RE: Do you like the new image of CS?

Some of the new features are good, such as the extra flowers, but why not allow for extra characters in the txt line?

The navigation of the forums is illogical and frustrating to say the least
