RE: mother factor

The relationship between Mother and son is different to that between Father and son, when a son tells his mother about his women, its not for acceptance its so he can reassure her that he will be taken care of and loved as she would have wanted, that he has someone special in his life, but she would still remain as always, as his mother.

RE: would you tell?

Do you have his phone number? If you do, then confront him, ask him what he is doing you have the right to have an honest answer, blood is thicker than water, and let him know that your family will be keeping a close eye on him.

RE: What are three characteristics of a good friend?

Trust..................... That you know that whatever you say will remain a secret with them alone

Openness ............ They accept you as you are, no preconceived ideas, see your faults as irrelevant to the friendship

Dependability........ They are always there for you, no matter when or why

A true friend is someone who you may not see for weeks but when you do meet up it's as though you were continuing a conversation from yesterday.

Sundays

Sundays are special for lovers, would you agree?

You awake, and as your senses return from that dream filled with soft lights and pastel shades, you turn and look at that vision beside you, dark hair covers the pillow, like the layer of autumn leaves on the pathway outside, you raise your head, prop it up with you hand and watch as her breasts rise and fall her breath slow and even, you study her face trace each laughter line with your finger, not touching, its too soon, this is your time, when you can see this person who shares your life, in close detail you ca do this for hours, just looking, staring even, you watch those lips, remembering that previous evening lovemaking and you know that as she sleeps she is also dreaming of that night of exotic passion, there is a smile on those soft red lips, you can’t control the urge, tentatively you lean forward and with feather like gentleness place a kiss on those inviting lips.
Eyelids move, flicker and then open, and those dark brown eyes fill your very being as her face awakes with such a smile, it’s a very special smile that first one in the morning, its like the one your 4 year old child gives you when you arrive to pick him up from playschool, no hesitation, no planning it’s a reflex that there in front of him is someone that is quite simply his life. And for a man there can be nothing quite so endearing as when his woman shows that child like quality, it brings out his protective nature, his desire to be all things to that person.
Her arms reach out for you, wrap around your neck as she pulls you down for a kiss, your senses are running amok, as you smell her scent mixed with the perfume of last nights activities, passion is exploding everywhere, skin touches skin..............................

I miss Sunday mornings

RE: Whose the most romantic guy on CS?

You are so right, romance starts with the desire of that one person, True romance is not mills and boon, its just between the two of you.

RE: The Bottom Line on Single Sites.

Maybe a word of thanks to the guy who started it all

RE: The Bottom Line on Single Sites.

It works for me

I have been here for less than 3 months, have chatted in depth with many ladies, met 2 so far and about to meet a third, the ones I have met have been charming, lovely and just as I had pictured, OK that special spark was missing, but I feel a better person for having met them, to have experienced the joy of a new friendship is something I would have missed out on had I just relied on chance meetings at the supermarket or library etc.

If you are totally honest, up front and believe in yourself CS works, better than most dating site IMO

RE: Stranded on a deserted island with a hot guy/girl

RE: BET NONE OF YOU COULD EVER LIVE WITH A ROMANTIC PARTNER BECAUSE OF THE TERRIBLE PERSON YOU'VE BECOME

Gilly, my dear friend, I have had, lets say a trying day, and have just started to read a few threads for some light entertainment and then came across yours.

I have a question, What medication are you on? and can you send some to me, I reckon you have a 24 hour hour permanent smile on your face, and I want some of that.

doh cheers

RE: The Stuff Your Church Never Tells You About...........

Before I summarise its conflictions, it should be noted that this old codex is by no means a reliable guide to New Testament study as it contains superabundant errors and serious re-editing. These anomalies were exposed as a result of the months of ultraviolet-light tests carried out at the British Museum in the mid-1930s. The findings revealed replacements of numerous passages by at least nine different editors. Photographs taken during testing revealed that ink pigments had been retained deep in the pores of the skin. The original words were readable under ultraviolet light. Anybody wishing to read the results of the tests should refer to the book written by the researchers who did the analysis: the Keepers of the Department of Manuscripts at the British Museum (Scribes and Correctors of the Codex Sinaiticus, H. J. M. Milne and T. C. Skeat, British Museum, London, 1938).[/quote

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

thumbs up thumbs up

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

That is possibly a valid point, Indy, I have no experience of American Schools other than what is shown on TV etc, but surely social skills and morality are universal, one set fits all, Love thy neighbour as you would be loved by them or words to that effect

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

That is only your opinion based on just as fragile facts as those religions you speak of, neither you nor me can prove one way or another the existence of a God, if by believing in a God causes the people of this world to live in peace and harmony, then hey, lets believe in him/her/it, theres nothing to lose by doing so.

Note: I said God not religion

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

I use the internet every day, for reference, for information, for booking holidays etc etc, but its unlikely that on the WWW there going to be a teacher who can teach morals and social guidance, and if there is, no one, especially a child, is going to listen to him/her/it.

Morality, kindness, tolerance all start at home, but can be reinforced by others, it used to be done by schools, but know that attitude is deemed as "Controlling" so it was left to various "Churches" to take on that responsibility, maybe it is no longer the right place, but where else are these skills to be taught, parents lack the judgement and background in so many cases to pass on social skills, only today, here in the UK a social services member admitted that if all the children at risk were to be taken into care it would not be hundreds but well over a thousand.

I have no preference as to whom the responsibility falls on to teach Morals and social skills, but the sooner it happens the sooner this world will be a happier and peaceful place.

RE: do you agree with euthanasia

Unless of course they're fresh water Cray fish, we have them here in the River Severn, very tasty

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

Well in all honesty, in the short time that I have been reading threads here on CS I have never seen anyone preaching "Hellfire and damnation", I have however, read some post that have said in no uncertain terms, "If you follow that religion you are a fool and lack intelligence by doing so", again this is just how I personally have interpreted those threads.

There is one way to look at it, in my opinion, and that is that most religions do try to teach morals and standards, tact and tolerance, maybe its the diminishing following of such religions that has created such an intolerant society around the world.

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

But thats not true, more and more sections of society that follow one belief or another are being told that they cannot enjoy those events that have been a foundatio of those beliefs.

For example, the banning of the nativity scene in front of churches, the surrounding of Stonehenge by police on the summer solstice etc etc, and more is being banned every week.

When Russia banned religion what happened, it went underground, hated and revenge built up, just a thought.

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

Now that I can completely agree with, but we can refrain from knocking those who think differently

I don't want or need to tell anyone to believe in my "God", but if I'm asked to explain, that is quite different

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

Trish I have been following the forums here for some weeks now, I know and understand where your coming from, BUT, as Lush has said above, there is a disproportional number of anti religion anti god threads , than Pro-Christian ones

JMO

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

Ok I see your point, but by saying .......
"No religious group on the planet should have the right to rule over others, period! " are you not

Exerting your stance and opinion on others who do not follow your thought

I am not disagreeing with your initial argument, I also think that forcing/selling beliefs is wrong,
but when one section says another cannot celebrate a particular event, that is also Exertion of misplaced power.

RE: Atheism At Christmastime

It strikes me as unbelievably sad that there are threads about being tolerant when posting on CS, that that tolerance cannot also go out into the non virtual world, why can we not be tolerant of others faiths, beliefs and / or non belief.

If I or you wish to follow one particular line of thought, surely, as long as my/your thoughts do not affect you/me, can we not leave it alone, allow those to benefit from their own inner comfort. Without trying to undermine and demine those thoughts.

RE: Why do people choose to have children?

And I bet that is exactly what takes place with the majority of balanced and well adjusted couples

RE: Canadians

I think I can put my hand on heart and say, I'm just not fussy as to what country my future partner is from, I have favourite cultures of course Canadians being one of them, to restrict oneself to just one area of the world is, IMO, cutting of ones nose.

RE: Canadians

Just a tad of a sweeping generalisation, I for one am British, am not gay and cannot remember the last time I was drunk, probably about 6 years ago at a party.

Not all people are the same, male or female, in this country or any other.

But I hope you find what your looking forwave

RE: Do you want to hear your soul release a sigh of joy?

They are truly amazing creatures, reminds me of when a child, I watched Otters playing on the riverbank a memory I shall never forget, but needs to be reminded now and again. Thanks PPV.
