YOUR AGErolling on the floor laughing, you are still a child compared to the likes of old sods like me and the Maltese pair rolling on the floor laughing

Did you know that the best Cars are those that have at least 45 k on the clock, all the things that go wrong have been fixed, the seats are worn in and now fit like a glove, the gearbox is smooth and slides easily from gear to gear, and, if there is the odd bump here and there, well that just adds character

RE: Anyone want to trade pics? The fun kind.

I have a set of the 1955 all English Cricket team, will swop for the 1955 British rugby teamprofessor

RE: Have you ever really loved someone?

I'm sure it will, sometimes it just takes a bit longer than we would really want, but then the best wine is that which has lain untouched for some years, when opened it gives more joy and happiness than mere words can describe.comfort

RE: Have you ever really loved someone?

I was totally besotted and in love with my ex wife, the phrase "I would die for you" was oh so true in her case, but after 7 years she and I went separate ways, my heart was in pieces, fortunately I have the knowledge that you can find love again and that when it clicks it really clicks. I will just go on looking laugh

RE: At last! A Harry Potter thread!

Some interesting articles on Wiki about Tolkien, seems he was influenced by the first WW and was then pushed into writing the Rings triolgy, take a look, some good links also.
I hope that if they do make a film of the hobbit it remains faithful to the book, the Fellowship films were not how I had imagined after reading the books.

RE: Are There Any Other Dating Sites Beside Match, E Harmony, or This One That anyone Can recommend? Thi

Try this one it worked for me

doh

RE: At last! A Harry Potter thread!

The Lord of the rings started off well with "The Hobbit" but then by the second book I always felt Tolkien had lost his way, the first book was a far more gentle fairy story and then became more violent and darkly mystical.

RE: At last! A Harry Potter thread!

Like the books or not, they will become a piece of modern English Literature, same as Chaucer or Dickens, Rowling has a great ability to stir up a Childs imagination which in turn makes the child want to read more.

Since the release of the first book Library’s around the UK have said that the amount of children now reading books has increased by over 40 percent, the greatest achievement that any author can have I would think.

RE: Is it fair to auto delete anyone from Thailand and other dodgy places?

Well there is a time difference, but also, have you noticed that very few Chinese women and NO Chinese men actually post on the forum, something that puzzles me

RE: are most chinese girls uncomfortable to say I LOVE YOU

I thought it was the men who were undemonstrative, that is was a sign of weakness to show affection in public, but that in private, both genders were very affectionate and loving.
There is never a Chinese around when you want one
rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Why do you want to see the face when you talk to somone?

Sorry, I thought this was a serious question you had posted, had I realised it was a joke one I would have responded differently.
And no I don’t think naked pictures would help. In fact the opposite.

RE: Why do you want to see the face when you talk to somone?

Because relationships start based on trust, and to confirm that trust, we, as humans tend to rely of eye to eye contact, it is not just the face, it is the whole picture that the face produces, the smiles (Do the eyes smile as well?) the laughter, (is it real or false) etc etc
Do they blush? lol and finally do we like what we see

RE: Awake??....What are you thinking about?

How strange, I was thinking about Chinese as well, but not their foodwink

RE: Awake??....What are you thinking about?

RE: what men to avoid

That is just disrespectful to all the fat, ugly, short bald and stinky men in the world, go pick on someone elserolling on the floor laughing

RE: Should women have children if they can not support them properly?

Of course it is, if you start a family it is a joint responsibility, as I said before this is the 20th century not the dark ages.

That kind of proves my point, you have no respect for women, your value towards them is nil, do you not wonder if perhaps it is your opinion of women that has meant your remaining single for Quote " A very long time"
Someone commented that you were chauvinistic, I whole heartedly agree.

RE: what men to avoid

Laughing my socks off, but he is a dear man really don't you thinkrolling on the floor laughing

RE: Should women have children if they can not support them properly?

So you believe that man should be the sole bread winner, where does that leave the woman? I am sorry but to me that is belittling and demeaning to all mothers.

You are basically saying that “I am a man so I must be better than you at making money” what a lack of respect you have.

RE: Should women have children if they can not support them properly?

Okay so why do you think that? Do you think a woman is incapable of having her own career?
That even if she works she does not want or be required to contribute to the joint household?

That is just absurd, women are just as equal as men within a loving and real relationship, both can contribute to the family as a whole. That is why most married couple have a joint bank account, especially in today’s economy where one income is often not enough to support the entire family.

RE: warning! this thread is not for weak mindeded and pessismists!

I have nothing but utter respect for my aging father and mother, 92 and 90 respectively, they are fit and reasonably healthy, okay their short term memory is going but the wisdom and knowledge they still show is truly remarkable, that they have always supported me in all my life’s ups and downs is something I can never repay, but hope I can be half as supportive to my children.
PS I also think Leonard Cohen lyrics are wonderful, he poetry is just great, I had the great fortune to see him live in Vancouver many years ago, an unforgettable night.

RE: Should women have children if they can not support them properly?

I do take on board what you are saying, but the reverse is also true, may not be popular, but the fact remains "Should some women be allowed to have children, knowing they don't want to stay with the father? knowing that because the Father is a responsible person, They (The mother) will get financial support whatever may happen to the father, emotionally and financially, if the mother in question feels they have to leave the father then go, that’s fine, but leave the child with the father, he did not (In many circumstances) Create the issues that caused her to want to leave. By what right does it always make it correct that the mother has to have the children in question? Did God say, only a mother can raise a child?

I fully accept that there are fathers who shirk their responsibilities, but we are not all the same, yet treated in law and by most others as the guilty party, I am, nor never have been, a criminal, yet I am held up by some women as one just because I love my children and want to be with them 24/7, my ex walked away from a loving and genuine family, one that was financially secure and safe, because she decided someone else was better, however, her new guy dumped her within a few weeks. So she is now a single mother, claiming from the state for all she can get. Where are the rights of me the father? Why can I not be allowed to raise my children in a correct and loving fashion, instead the law allows the mother, who by her very actions has demonstrated that it's easier to walk than to work at a relationship, to be the parental guardian. What does that teach my child?

RE: Should women have children if they can not support them properly?

I agree with most of your comments, but feel that money is really secondary to a Childs health and welfare, first is love, I have seen firsthand utter devotion and love given to a child in extreme poverty and also seen scant regard for a child in a very wealthy family, where a mother got annoyed because she was late attending a county ball and the "Brat was playing up again". The Brat in question was actually trying to get her younger sister dressed and ready, oh and not to go to the Ball but to a friend for the night.

Horses for courses I guess, saddens me on how bad some parents can be, so unthinking and uncaring.
