The ADVANTAGE of the anti-malarials is - as you have very correctly stated - they HAVE been tested for safety on humans already. There IS also data from Russia as to their efficacy and, while this is certainly NOT the same as the usual protratcted process of approval, the main objection is overcome because it's known that the AM is not dangerous in and of itself.
