I visit 'here' less often than I once did and I'll have to admit I'm cheered to see only two (the usual two) who are ranting in the face of factual information.

There's the one who still pushes the false notion that Russia is a communist country (I dare bet his fav fap-site is the McCarthy Fan Club ) and our very own unemployable Liberal Super Muppet who talks about 'delivering Trump's head in a box'... hardly a pair who's opinions can be taken seriously!

I'm sure that the Quintet of Quasi Democracy (Trump, Bolton, Pompeous, Pence and Abrams) expected that they could simply smuggle arms and special services troops into Nicaragua under the guide of so called 'Humanitarian aid' and that no one was going to call them out for having caused the economic crisis in the first place.

But doing around 80 billion dollars worth of damage (to date) is way too big to conceal behind Trump's aid which amounts more or less to a few boxes of sugary 'energy biscuits'. But it brings to mind how little the US Mindset has changed since the foundation of the nation - giving the Native Peoples a few beads 'as a fair trade' for their lands and indeed their very existence and still, offering 'aid' in return for asset stripping !

Still, I have to congratulate them for their honesty this time ... at least none of them have said it's about any other than placing US Corporations in a position where they can steal the wealth of the Venezuelan people! Turning again to Mr Putin and the Russian people, they know only too well the kind of crooked deals ... essentially charging Russia to take away it's vast mineral and oil wealth and infiltrating the nation with NGO's which is just another acronym for CIA subversives!

Those who try to suggest that Russia and China are potential enemies (at this time at least) have blinded themselves - reality check, both nations have expanded their influence across the world by peaceful acts and friendly fair trading. Stand that up against the US behaviour which is essentially an 'old school mafia protection racket'. Once they get in to a nation they're like the noxious, invasive weed found here in NZ Tradiscantia ( look up it's other aka name ) all but impossible to rid oneself of !

Have a good week y'all !

That Jussie Smollett bloke is a bit of a character eh ?

I guess he's just a dumb actor ie ordinarily accustomed to just saying what he's told to say and doing what he's told to do ?

Not a real creative talent like a script writer or director ?

But if there WERE to have been others involved ... then it gets real interesting ... perhaps even to the level of sedition / treason ?

RE: Besides the USA, what countries are provide humanitarian aid to the crisis in Venezuela

C n P

Many in Latin America are also suspicious about the eventual course of any U.S. intervention in regional affairs—Washington has a long and troubled history of stepping in, with deadly and disastrous results.

The examples are numerous. The United States sought to overthrow Chile’s socialist president Salvador Allende in the 1970s, a move that eventually led to the brutal 27-year rule of Augusto Pinochet. It used a humanitarian-aid program in Nicaragua in the 1980s to hide $27 million in weapons for right-wing groups fighting a leftist government, fueling a civil war (a scandal that involved Elliott Abrams, who is now Donald Trump’s special envoy for Venezuela). And in 1989, the U.S. left hundreds of civilians dead in Panama when American forces invaded to overthrow the country’s de facto leader, Manuel Noriega.

And EVEN WAPO ( Washing Post) is raising questions with their headline

" The massacre Trump’s envoy to Venezuela wants us to forget "

... Elliot Abrams, Abrams, Omar reminded the hearing, had pleaded guilty in 1991 to two counts of withholding information from Congress — essentially lying over the Iran-contra affair in the late 1980s while serving as an official in the Reagan administration. In 1992, though, he was pardoned by President George H.W. Bush and later joined the younger Bush’s National Security Council. Out of office, he has remained a fixture in Washington’s foreign policy establishment as a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.

that if Russia is attacked then the response will not only be against the locations that missiles are launched from but also at the command centres from which the instructions are given ...

And that the response will be framed in the same time scales as those directed against Russia ... a hypersonic missile can be launched from 200 miles offshore and reach the aggressors in the same 9 minutes as missiles launched against Moscow from just outside of Russia's borders.

Make sense ?

After all, the US (let's not pretend NATO is any other than directed by the US) strategy is to take out Russia's command and control locations ... and, as Russia seeks to do business in Europe it makes no sense for them to destroy the lives and infrastructure of their neighbours ?

And, with the recent Chinese Naval musings about sinking a couple of US aircraft carriers 'just to make the point' that it's THEIR hemisphere ...

Of course, but then, well, you have to look at it from the perspective of the finacially destitute US ...

Put most simply the Venezuelan people ought to have been more careful ... and not parked their country on top of US oil , gold and diamond reserves!

Happiness is the absence of the striving for happiness.

There are some ideas so wrong that only a very intelligent person could believe in them.

Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example.

The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you've got it made.

RE: Are there any Genuine people left on this earth?

I'm sure there are plenty of right thinking people who've had time to study life and note (at least) some of the Universal Laws - however if (as that post implies) you're accusing me of having two profiles get it said, and take it to Admin - you really are a very sad and unpleasant piece of work.

You wrote, and I replied elsewhere re the Law of Attraction.

Also from Earl Nightingale's work " A person finds himself surrounded by like thinking individuals ... '

If YOU are havin problems finding 'genuine people' then that is in actuality a reflection on your own state of being.

YOU (as is the case with every other individual) are the common denominator in all of your own experiences. IF you want 'better experiences' it's up to YOU to improve YOURSELF !

RE: Toxic & Negative People - How to get rid of them!

In his early 20th Century ground breaking work 'The Strangest Secret' from which the current description is called LoA, Earl Nightingal disclosed that the SS is (Not verbatim) 'That a man tends to get what he thinks about all day long. Thus his experience of life reflects his internal state of being - if he's a positive and helpful person to others then his experiences will tend to be positive and he'll find help when he needs it. On the other hand if he's negative and critical, destructive of the good attempts by others then his own life will be reflected by those people around him and he'll find himself in the midst of negative , critical people who antagonise rather than help him..."

Naturally Nightingale was writing in the language of the day and the male term includes all of 'man-kind' so this applies to women also.

I find that those people who label others as "toxic" tend always to have the same characteristics that they are damning other for.

RE: why do some people talk about things that happened years ago and blame parents for stuff that is bad

Some people have been raised by parents who were raised by parents who were raised by parents who were cruel...

'Talking about it' is their attempt to get it out of their systems ... regrettably it's not a strategy that will ever work unless the individual chances upon a person who knows how to listen properly, is willing to 'actually hear' the full extent of their experiences and pain and vitally is not themselves 'triggered' into their own past cycles of pain.

It appears that when 'a bunch of people who have Pain X in common' get together it often becomes the setting for what looks like competitive misery - with each trying to outrank the other in the acuteness and chronicness of 'what was done to them'.

ALL that this achieves is to 'dig themselves in further' and collectively such people soon 'blame society' for not doing enough to alleviate their pain ...

But, what CAN 'society do' when people gain advantages ( sympathy / attention / excused from work / receipt of financial benefits / attention from specialists and etc )?

sigh

RE: Fit by Design, not by Default

That's all well and good, but lets not forget it was (an American) Edwards Deming who's brilliance ( Hey, let's build QUALITY PRODUCTS instead of cranking out massive heaps of cr*p from our US factories ) that got him 'deported' to Japan after WW2 because his fellow (exceptional) Americans were too shortsighted to see the advantages - the USA was the only place in the world that had much by way of unbombed manufacturing capacity so they could sell 'any old crap' and 'The Market' just had to take it!

And today ... well, even China cottoned on to the idea of 'Building In Quality' even on low priced products ... and the USA is squealing foul play and kidnapping Chinese Executives and trying to stand on their necks to cripple their manufacturing !

Novel idea ... how about competing on equal terms ... objective stuff like quality, reliability, durability, style, desirability and price ?

Why are European cars sought after in the USA ... all of the above !

Why are US cars NOT sought after anywhere in the world ...a complete lack of all of the above !

The only halfway decent GM products have been made in South Korea in the old DAEWOO plant for most of the last decade !
