Allow me to spice it up a bit more...you're great, Dru...so here's a big wet one for you, too! (again, a disclaimer...I am in Greece and we do a lot of kissing on the cheeks!)
That's ok, pub....I don't want to marry you, but I wouldn't avoid you either. So, according to the thread, the only other option is a kiss. Let's just call it a kiss on the cheek, ok?
So very true. We do change over time and, sometimes, a man and a woman change in disparate ways. I am definitely much different now than I was 20 or 30 years ago....for the better, I firmly believe.
I didn't know you were in the Army, Dru! I'm former Air Force... a long time back. (Nowadays, everything is a long time back! ) I know what you mean, though, about the pizza and beer thing. Another staple for me was Kraft Mac'n Cheese. And ramen noodle soup!
Ummmmm....I couldn't make those symbols if I tried! What I said at the end was: and the "high" one experiences in the beginning can never be sustained indefinitely. If one of both parties don't realize this....if they expect constant euphoria...they will never be satisfied.
No, I don't agree with that theory...at least, not as the most likely reason. It's true in many cases that people don't show their full selves early on; best foot forward is the name of the game initially. But, unless someone has rushed into marriage, I should think that most people relax and become more natural as the relationship grows. I doubt many people marry someone and then, all of a sudden, Jekyll becomes Hyde (or is it vice-versa?). I think that boredom is a part of it, life's struggles and strifes enter in, and the initial stage (where your heart skips a beat and you get all mushy inside when you think of him or her) makes way for the next phase. This is chemical and the "high" one e t u s p _ f o r u m _ p o s t _ a d d @h parties don't realize this... if they expect constant euphoria...they will never be satisfied.
Neither, Snuggs. I am average in size, in fact could stand to knock off a few pounds lately. Fast metabolism? Nope. I just allow myself my comfort foods now and then. I do love Greek food, but there's only so much olive oil and feta cheese I can eat before I'm longing for good ol' junk food.
The answer to your question, whaaat, is that there is no best way to show a man I care. There are many ways, most of them quite simple and uncomplicated. But I don't think there is a best way.
Oooohhhh....wait a minute. Maybe there is a best way.
Be genuine. Give from the heart, not from a feeling of obligation. That would be the best way, in everything you do. Whether it's a head massage or a foot rub or a gentle kiss first thing in the morning, do it because it's how you feel. He'll feel it, too.
(Spoken from a woman who hasn't had a real relationship in ages, so you might want to take my words with a grain of salt!)
2 days ago. I ordered a half-and-half...one half was pepperoni and the other was mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. I ate 4 of the 8 slices, then 2 more yesterday morning (the breakfast of champions!) and tossed the other two. I order pizza about once every 2 weeks or so.
And ice cream. Home-made ice cream or Haagen-Dazs or gelatto or from the ice cream truck driving down the street. Pistachio, jamocha almond fudge, pralines and cream, butter pecan, chocolate mint, you name it. Summer isn't complete without ice cream!
Yes, definitely mayo. And some salt. Nothing more.
Have I ever tried fried green tomatoes? I'm from the south, gooddog! Need I say more? Of course, no summer meal is complete without the champagne of the south....sweet iced tea!
So...you just dip them in the milk and then sprinkle on a little sugar before you refrigerate? Or, do you put them in a bowl and pour some of the milk over them? Is it the sweetened condensed milk or evaporated milk? I want to try it. I've always just sprinkled sugar on cut strawberries and let it sit in the fridge, without the milk.
Oooooh, I love tomato sandwiches! We get some wonderful tomatoes here (they're not those grocery-store-gawd-awful hard crappy ones). I had one just 2 days ago, as a matter of fact. And will probably have one tomorrow. Love 'em!
Mmmmmmmm....no, you're not alone there! I love those yummy summer foods, too. And bar-b-q ribs and creamy cole slaw! And don't forget the key lime pie!
RE: KISS, MARRY OR AVOID....?
May I be the first to congratulate you both?
