Coffee is Love
Since the year 850 when an Ethiopian goat herder discovered the properties of the coffee bush this brew has helped to turn miserable turds into semi-human functional beings.Coffee is an important part of my life, my coffee bar owner is my Doctor and he administers my daily doses of caffeine from 6:30am 7 days a week. I personally drink 4 or 5 cups a day, and love coffee more than anything....... well I do love women and cigarettes too.
I do have some side effects such as the odd 4 inch long eyebrow hair appearing almost instantly after the second cup, follicle anomalies are just a minor problem, and it is a cheap form of anger management too.
Is coffee important to you and is it part of the culture where you live?

I love most types of coffee!
I sometimes drink coffee. Most time, tea.
Other times, I drink both! Yes, together
It's called 'YinYang' or 'Cham' ( meaning mixed in Cantonese )
Map, you gotta try it at least once! You might be in for a surprise
Map, you must be thanking your lucky stars that you're not with a Chinese lady or else you'd be forced to choose either your leg or drink that foul beverage a.k.a tea
DC, Actually Tea does have a place in Society, but as long as its after 3pm and served in the finest cups with cucumber sandwiches.
Daears, Too much of anything is unhealthy, but to me it's actually medicinal.
Molly, Ive seen you groupies, Ive seen how they admire the process and clap with joy as they watch me finish multiple cups, but I do shed tears of sorrow knowing they will never enjoy the wonders of the brew themselves.
Bee, Thats the spirit, Keep it up and support the growers around the world.
- Also though Ireland is definitely not a country known for it's good food, there are still loads of really really good coffee places here (in Dublin at least), which is great.
Blue, a pinch of salt takes the bitterness out of it. Yep, salt
The butter must be from grass-fed cows and unsalted.
It lowers cholesterol and helps one to lose weight.
As for butter in coffee..the thought of such a malicious act makes me sad.
Having travelled quite a bit, I find the quality of food here to be extremely high.
It is natural, the meat is usually from free-range sources, the fish is amazing, the veg is not GMO, and it is all fresh and tasty.
i don't know where you eat, but maybe you should come to Cork or Kinsale to learn a bit about good food in restaurants. And yes, we have some beautiful coffee shops here too..the groupie knows
Sorry Molly but I agree with Not. Irish food isn't great
(Irish beef, oysters and salmon sought throughout the world for example) and that's not talking about Irish alcoholic drinks which are clearly highly sought after.
I would say however that the Irish PALATE is definitely very bland, as it is in the British Isles generally and that's why we're not at the top table cuisine-wise IMHO
Nota, I cannot speak for individual palates, I just know that I like and appreciate good food (if not coffee )
I don't think it's part of the culture where I live. I tried once to like drinking coffee. I drank a cup every morning for 5 days. On the 5th day, I couldnt take it anymore.. made me vommit. I prefer chocolate milk or orange juice.
Coffee! The giver of life, the nectar of the gods, the healer of all ailments, the lifter of the spirits, the reason to wake up, the very essence of the life force of energy that stimulates and fotifies the very soul.....
Best put the kettle on then!
At least it has "coffee" in it...
But I don't think even Coffee bean and tealeaf, an American chain here, serve fresh coffee as yours .
When coffee beans are ground they start to produce carbon dioxide that seriously taints the flavour, Packs of ground coffee should be kept in the deep freeze at all times and so should the beans.
