SHARK not enough meat on it to bother
Meals on Wheels
In much bigger bodies of water, a much bigger boat is much more appropriate.
So I turned it over, Slapped on the bottom with my hands. And nothing happened.
Que total panic.
I honestly have no idea how I slid out but surfaced and the PE teacher was in knots laughing. Turns out I took the instructions too literally. The other problem is that I was too big for the biggest Kayak they had. The outer sides of my leg were all scratched from the Sides of the Kayak entrance as I panicked my way out.
So that's why I don't go Kayaking
In a kayak, you're too much like in a food delivery vehicle, and you are the food.
Sometimes one has to do, what he has to do..... to survive.
Folks swim a Helluva lot closer with sharks than they Ever realize.
Flying over water along beaches & looking straight Down Into the water, one can Clearly see sharks Much closer to blissfully ignorant swimmers than the people would guess in their Wildest imaginings.
Folks Vastly underestimate the effectiveness of the .243 Win. rifle & .357 Mag Revolver.
Or - More Accurately - Folks are Convinced those cartridges are less adequate ...
By companies selling .338 Win. Mag rifles & .44 Magnum revolvers.
And crossing the Gulf Stream in small boats is denounced as suicidal -
By builders of 40' - 50' vessels.
And some folks simply don't Buy the Sales Pitches!
Forget Florida to the Bahamas!
This is the Smallest vessel type to make the passage from California to Hawaii ...
And - the story goes - the California to Hawaii solo mariner used a .22 pistol to dispatch a shark deemed too close to the boat for comfort.
The same vessel was then sold to a missionary who used it for Years (Decades?) to visit his congregations on various islands ...
Would I(!) have ever attempted such a voyage ...
But I'd prob'ly have done That rather than use such a boat to get a Real Close look at a Polar Bear.
From what I've Seen flying over beaches ... I'd say it's at least Plausible.
BTW -
Flying low over beaches in helicopters -
More Interesting activity occurred a few dunes Back from the crowded Beach.
...
It just isn't clear enough. It's low quality video and it even seems to be altered a bit.
There's a rectangle area that looks like it was digitally added.
My best GUESS, is orca.
