World War 3
This is not a fear mongering post.I'm only concerned about the possibility.
Question: are we in the verge of a global war?
I hope not, but witnessing what's happening between Russia and Ukraine, it's a possibility.
If Russia is left alone to do what it wants, what stops China from pursuing the same goal in Taiwan?
Will the super powers just watch it happen?
Anyone?

Ukraine is not a sovereign state and is part of Russia.
OUR VERDICT
False. Ukraine declared independence in 1991 and fulfils the criteria for statehood under international law.
To suggest Ukraine is a part of Russia is just a belief held by a few easily mislead people, we should pity them.

and I say Bulldust:
The dissolution of the Soviet Union was the process of internal disintegration within the Soviet Union (USSR) which resulted in the end of its existence as a sovereign state. It brought an end to General Secretary (later also President) Mikhail Gorbachev's effort to reform the Soviet political and economic system in an attempt to stop a period of political stalemate and economic backslide. The Soviet Union had experienced internal stagnation and ethnic separatism. On December 25, 1991, the Soviet hammer and sickle flag lowered for the last time over the Kremlin, thereafter replaced by the Russian tricolor. Earlier in the day, Mikhail Gorbachev resigned his post as president of the Soviet Union, leaving Boris Yeltsin as president of the newly independent Russian state
A process of separation from USSR began with the growing unrest in the Union's various constituent national republics developing into an incessant political and legislative conflict between them and the central government. Estonia was the first Soviet republic to declare state sovereignty inside the Union on November 16, 1988. Lithuania was the first republic to declare independence from the Soviet Union by the Act of March 11, 1990 with its Baltic neighbors and the Southern Caucasus republic of Georgia joining it in a course of two months.
That a constitution setting out a Democratic Russian Federation commenced on December 25th and though there was a referendum occurred there was also two referendum held that previously i posted detail of here in CS. Putin actually disapproved however three referendums were held.

Yesterday ,One of Putin's Generals has been quoted as saying that Putin has all along intended on taking Moldova
There is a Russian Population that resides in Transnistria that is a part of Moldova's North eastern border
As far as your title here?
You can assume that this is just the beginning of world war 3 because sooner or later the free world will say that enough is enough and will confront Putin to get rid of his Russian Dog a**
Therefore he will go after Moldova next
He's got China backing him and that's all that needs wouldn't you say
The only way for this to stop is for hit on Putin
And we can't believe anything they say

From what I have read China has stopped supplying Russia and in fact Beijing has already provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine, not reported much in western media but fully reported on Al Jeezra.

I read from Condor's blog that US/Ziocon warned China not to get involved with Russia.
Im only seeing how possible it can happen based on current events.
No, Trump was the best president and watch him coming up to be the next president again.
Today, tomorrow, right this moment, all I want to do is pray.
Amen.

About 8,000 British army troops are to take part in exercises across eastern Europe to combat Russian aggression in one of the largest deployments since the cold war.
Dozens of tanks will be deployed to countries ranging from Finland to North Macedonia this summer, and joining them will be tens of thousands of troops from Nato and the Joint Expeditionary Force alliance, which includes Finland and Sweden.
The Ministry of Defence said the action had been long planned and subsequently enhanced in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in late February.
Commander Field Army Lt Gen Ralph Wooddisse said: “The UK makes a significant contribution to the defence of Europe and the deterrence of Russian aggression. The British army’s series of exercises is fundamental to both. The scale of the deployment, coupled with the professionalism, training and agility of the British army, will deter aggression at a scale not seen in Europe this century.”

The UK deployment is expected to build to a peak of about 8,000 personnel operating in mainland Europe between April and June.
The defence secretary, Ben Wallace, said: “The security of Europe has never been more important. These exercises will see our troops join forces with allies and partners across Nato and the Joint Expeditionary Force in a show of solidarity and strength in one of the largest shared deployments since the cold war.”
Troops from the Queen’s Royal Hussars have been deployed and will be embedded in an armoured brigade in Finland, which shares an 830-mile land border with Russia. Exercises alongside American troops are also taking place in Poland.

The announcement that Britain will conduct large-scale exercises in Europe comes after Vladimir Putin raised the prospect of attacks on western targets, warning of a “lightning-fast” retaliation if countries intervened in Ukraine.
The operation, called Exercise Hedgehog, will start in May and involve British troops exercising on the Estonia-Latvia border alongside 18,000 Nato troops, including French and Danish forces, who are part of the British-led Nato enhanced forward presence.
The UK this week increased the pressure on international allies to bolster support for Ukraine. The British foreign secretary, Liz Truss called for a “doubling down” in a speech on Wednesday night, including further supplies of heavy weapons, and for allies to push for Russian forces to entirely leave Ukraine’s territory, with the country reverting to its pre-2014 borders.
In reference to Russian-occupied areas in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, she said: “We are going to keep going further and faster to push Russia out of the whole of Ukraine.” There has been speculation that Ukraine would settle for a return to the pre-invasion status quo where territory was ceded to de facto Russian-backed separatists.
She called Putin “a desperate rogue operator with no interest in international norms”.
“Some argue we shouldn’t provide heavy weapons for fear of provoking something worse. But my view, is that inaction would be the greatest provocation."

Please answer that on the Military Industrial Complex blog.

Now says: "the only man who says negotiation without the use of military power" is said by Trump, which makes sense.
Security Council unanimously backs “search for a peaceful solution” to the conflict
The UN Security Council unanimously adopted a statement on Friday supporting the secretary-general’s efforts to search for a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, in the first such display of unity since February 24. Russia’s agreement demonstrated Moscow’s readiness for diplomacy, said Mexico, which co-authored the statement.
The Security Council expresses strong support for the efforts of the secretary-general in the search for a peaceful solution,” says the statement, according to AP.
The Council also “expresses deep concern regarding the maintenance of peace and security of Ukraine” and “recalls that all member states have undertaken, under the Charter of the United Nations, the obligation to settle their international disputes by peaceful means.”

Fear mongering for the sake of fear mongering is about as sick as one can get, maybe you need medical help
Come on. Be honest.
Fear-mongering can make people anxious about the wrong things and use an excessive number of resources to avoid rare and unlikely dangers, while more probable dangers are ignored. For example, some parents have kept their children at home to prevent abduction, whilst paying less attention to more common dangers such as lifestyle diseases or traffic accidents. In short, it can be dangerous.
Fear mongering is often used by those without any valid argument in a discussion.

But enough of that I'd say. Let's jump out of fear and deal with the real issue here, shall we?
Interestingly, they also said most Russians younger than 45 don't believe anything on Russian news media and that they tend to get information from outside of Russia to find the truth.

see nato expansion eastwards not a problem what so ever. Unlike what prof.Mearsheimer argue. Maybe even him is outdated in his thinking.
If so then Putin should hurry home and hold some free and open elections asap.
