After 4 years of being imprisoned in an Italian jail,
Amanda Knox comes home to Seattle today.

Other than the admitted killer's testimony,
there was nothing at all linking her to the murder.
Why believe a killer ? dunno

Can you imagine being locked up on foreign soil
for a heinous crime that you didn't commit ?

yeah, i think this girl hs endured sumth that not every adult person can dodunno it might be very difficult for her to live a normal life again..my heart1 is with her.
wave Jim and all
Oh i can imagine it Jimy, i know its very very hard, words cant explaine it
Dear Amandahug i just watch this news on TV today and thank u Jimy for this blog, humanity is most important matter in our life.
I know her right now and with ur blogs Jim love
We love u Amanda, be free for always
be happy darling Amandayay
Love to the world
peace to allheart wings peace
you're right O. I'm sure she should seek therapy
for what she has endured.
4 years of your life spent in a foreign jail.

G - I'm sure she is overwhelmingly thrilled to be back
home with her family, where she can try to seek peace.
she will definitely need some kind of therapy
to get her back to normalcy again after being
through these 4 years behind closed door....
What a pity how justice works - sometimes just not fair...
My heart also reaches out to her ...
Besides the murder itself,
the biggest crime was that it took
4 friggin' years ! thumbs down
You know Jim, I followed her case in the beginning
and stopped along the way. I thought she was jailed for being linked to the murder...
But now that you mentioned that there was nothing to link her to it, then that is truly pathetic...I'm going to google her case now to find out more....
The only links were that she was her college roommate and
the admitted killer said she was there.
Maybe she was Jim. We dont really know.
I never liked her. Bur i liked the one that was murdered.
Many have been killed in deathrow that was innocent.
Amanda here servived atleast. So i dont know.
Anyweays, if she is innocent...well she'll have sth to give 1$ dollars interview's over now, hehe.

drinking
Guilt & innocence has little to do with liking a person or not.
There was no evidence other than the killer's testimony,
that linked her to the crime. Plus, there was no motive.
Whatever money she makes from subsequent interviews will never
repay the part of this young college gal's life lost in prison and the emotional affect of such. If she was imprisoned for some cause she was fighting for, perhaps she would have been better prepared for it and not felt so helpless. peace

You are welcome to think whatever you want.
But, there was no evidence, nor motive, linking her
to the killing.
As i have lived in Italy for 20 years i have seen so many times injustice from the Italian courts, the problems are many, starting from the investigation of the crime, there does not exist a procedure of investigation, which is done in a very unprofessional way, in the case of Amanda there was only contaminated biological evidence!! the mistakes being discovered 4 years later!!! i have no Trust in the Italian courts. the LIE, which is written on every courtroom says "THE LAW IS EQUAL FOR EVERYONE" doh confused
wave that was a nice quote on love! applause applause ... if only more men believed ... rsther acted on it! confused

anyways .. coming back to ur blog .. from watever i know till now .. by the indications ...i think she's innocent .. i'd like to give her the benefit of doubt..
now presuming that she's innocent ... wht saddens me ...is that 4 years of her life..prime time.. have gone ...and how!! uh oh uh oh

and even now when she's out ..she has to continue to deal with this for a long long time.. wherever she works , lives .. some people will be judging her .. and always be doubtful sigh some will be not so nice...

i hope and pray ..god gives her the strength and good attitude and cheer to deal with all this and also to live a normal life. angel angel
R - from what I've read, that unprofessionalism of the Italian court/legal system is confirmed.

P - the lack of evidence against her certainly allows one those thoughts.
Yes, as I've said above, other than the murder itself, that is the worst crime.
hmmm true jim ! .. i agree sigh
Hi Jim. when there are lawyers who hide evidence from the courts, as happened in a recent case, what chance is there of a fair trial.+ every case is on TV every day of the week with so called experts, in this way you are prejudged guilty od innocent before the case is heard. For Amanda public opinion found her guilty.handshake wine
Thankfully, murder trials are not held on 'The People's Court' here. doh
not read your blog jim or other peoples posts either, i dont know nothing about the case but i touched onit breifly but not enough to know what shes done, i heard something of murder dunno but that woman should still be behind bars because she is guilty .. simple as.
@JimNastics: Can you imagine that I have no idea whatsoever about who is that women in the picture? dunno
It's OK ladies. You can't know everything.
IW - why do you think she is guilty, knowing nothing
about the case, my blog, nor what anyone has said ?? confused
Shouldn't evidence be the basis of decisions like that ?
I just think a person who's in her situation can have a memory lapse or two but more than that is definitely lying and an innocent person can never lie. See what money can do. Her supporters were able to fly from US to Italy and holed up in a hotel while awaiting for the verdict while the victim's relative has to make do with minimal presence considering Britain is nearer to Italy than US. What a pity! And even there was no motive at all, drug-fueled mind state needs no motive at all.
Um... she smoked a joint. There's no link between marijuana use and murder. If she was doing heroin, that would be different.
Because her parents had more money than the victim's does not mean she did it and not a reason to hold a grudge against her.
true jim i nothing of her i could goggle her but i dont have to i know she should still be behind bars .. look at her face into her eyes i can feel people and trust me she is not a good one..her release will come to no good.
Jim, just read your blog and all the comments. As you said, everyone is entitled to their opinions. I will not confess to be an expert on this case either, but I do have to agree with Itchy. From the beginning there has been something about this girl that has left an uneasy feeling in my gut that she was somehow involved. I will not be partying her release, but hey, that's only my opinion and my right......right? grin
If there is a God, let him judge her.

Money can buy your way out of murder these days. The only reason she got off was cause the evidence might of got contaminated. Well the what the media said. The media plays a huge roll in high profile cases like this.

I would not like to be accused of something I didn't do or be jailed, fullstop.
oops dont go by what i say bsooner cause i know nothing of her other then she is guilty and what ever she fed on, she loved.
It's only natural to be suspicious, especially of someone arrested.
However, how someone looks, or the feeling you have,
is not enough to convict someone.
I doubt that this gal will be involved in any severe wrong doing.
But of course time will tell.
Yes, of course anyone is entitled to their opinion.
But, realize that is all it is.
For those who viewed her negatively, if she does nothing else
significantly wrong over the next 10 years will your negative
opinion of her change, or forever remain ?
eh jim, i look to find goodness in people i dont look for badness but when its staring you right in the face, you cant ignore it.. why are you defending her so much? do you know her or her family personally?
I'm not meaning to say she bought her freedom. What I want to say is her family has money and had friends and supporters who were visible during the proceedings while the victim's family has minimal visibility. I just think there is somehow an impact on the jury or the judges if there are a group of people rallying behind you throughout the entire trial which is a great financial burden to less moneyed-people. The drama of the trial, the eloguence of the lawyers in the forefront as well as the visible support of people on both sides may as well affect the verdict notwithstanding the evidence of course. In the gallery there would be a lot of people and some of them could just be mere onlookers. It's alot different if the victim's family and friends were present to assert the fact that what they have is a real great lost and that they lost a real wonderful person in Kercher. To think that it happened in a developed country. moping
No, I don't know her or her family at all.
The appeals court found her to be innocent of
the murder charges. I don't need to defend her.
The facts are that she was held 4 years in prison,
and the appeals court decided that there was no
evidence other than the murderer's testimony.

You both didn't answer my question about
whether your opinion would change if 10 years from
now that she isn't involved in any significant wrong doing.
Will both your opinions remain the same as now ?
I don't think it's that unusual that a young college gal
would try nor use marijuana.
Did drug testing reveal anything else in her bloodstream ?
Casey Anthoney was found innocent as well, but whether or not she does anything wrong over the next 10 years will not change my view on her either.
its not a case of being guilty or innocent. IF THERE IS REASONABLE DOUBT, any person should be freed. now there is talk of reopening the case of "Rudy" the suposed killer of "Meradith".as usual the chaos in the legal systen continues in Italy. frustrated frustrated
i dont understand your question jim dunno
are you as good as asking could a person forgive and forget???
Italy does not have the same legal system we have in the U.S. Here, a person cannot be tried more than once for the same crime. But in Italy, they can have endless trials for the same crime, which is why the prosecutor kept introducing "new details" every time he wanted to try her again. I don't know whether she's guilty or not, but I'm glad she's back in the U.S. with her family. But poor old Rudy will not take the brunt of the Italian court system all by himself.
