A Cs-legend
8 months ago I have said my goodbyes.You told me I would be back, my reply was that nothing would make me return to the blogs. And now this tragedy has brought me back, so guess you were right again.
I don't know where to begin to describe this legend, this wonderful man that was my first friend on CS, a man loved and respected by many of the bloggers.
This man combined great humour, with great writing, some seriousness,..
This man showed respect to all, a man of great honour.
He was famous for many reasons, but i guess most famous for his annual awards. He would always make sure everyone received one, and from the amount of text he included in those blogs it was obvious he spend much time in preparing them.
So dear Simmo, I think I may speak for all here that you will be missed. We wish your beloved family much strength in these difficult times.

Simmo has passed away on May 30th 2015.
I don't know how it happened. I only know because of the post of friends and family on his FB account.

Lou, I can't be of any help, he was fine last time we spoke.
He was a guy who loved his family and he will be missed.

Crazy, if he was here 2 days ago, but died on the 30th, then he passed away the day after you read him.
Rest In Peace Simmo! You will be truly missed!
We have been good friends and private emailing but lately he was not as active as he used to.

I remember when he told me about Lk...thought he was joking but only to be surprised that it was in fact true...how cruel some people are...but Simmo was a great detective...and managed to reveal her true identity...too bad that we didn't have a chance to meet him in person...it would have been fun...
Sorry I don't...that is going back a while...but angel may have...she has contact with nonsmoker...on FB...will ask her...
I am searching for obits but no notices have popped up...perhaps it will take awhile...
It is hard to believe still...I just e-mailed Simmo before his passing just to keep in touch...wanted him to post a blog...I feel very sad...hope non is okay... and you as well...
Well hard to imagine being so young (ish) that I had to worry about it...but your right...the older you get...the more you will experience loss...
Both Delatude and i were part of the "old crowd " here on c/s ...both of us here for a couple of years , in which the most wonderful bonds of friendships were formed ...The fun , and banter Harold ,Teddy , Non , Zman , Delatude and i used to have here on the blogs was so wonderful - a complete joy to all of us .We enjoyed much laughter , and also supported each other in times when life sometimes threw each of us a curve ball .
I can hardly imagine the grief and pain that Simmo's family are experiencing right at this moment ...especially his 2 beautiful grand daughters of whom he spoke so fondly and so often .
Simmo was an absolute gentleman - with his family the core of his life .
To all of his friends on the blogs , we will miss him so very much .And especially to you Z , who have lost such a close friend .
Delatude and i wish to pay our deepest respects to Simmo and all his family - we thank you Simmo , for bringing so many smiles to the blogs and for being the man that you were .You will never be forgotten by those of us who's life you touched , where you brought awards , fun , respect much joy and friendship .
