frequency of sound/sound of voice

Okay.....

While listening to a mantra....I had the thought that the frequency of one's voice can and does create attraction.

There is a certain frequency....I forget the exact frequency, but it is very pleasant to the human ear. Okay, it is bothering me, I will take a guess at it (too lazy to look it up...lol) I think it is 522hz or 513hz...not claiming to have the best memory here.

Okay for men and women, has the frequency (or tone) of a potential partners voice been a deal breaker for you in the past?

I know when I was finishing up my college...there was a very attractive young lady who had a very high pitched and unusual voice. I was friends with her and her boyfriend. Toward the end of the year, they broke up. He cheated on her. After talking with him a bit, he said that he did not like the tone of her voice. I told him what I thought, ....I liked it. It was unusual but, I guess I like different things. laugh

Anyway....busy day here...and will respond when I can. :)

Enjoy your weekend all.

wave Johnny I know of some people that like the sound of their own voices ,because they never give a person a chance to speak. Then you get the ones that when there is a topic of discussion they go into a six page historyfrustrated frustrated frustrated But seriously I love looking and listening to Richard ATTENBOROUGH'S voice when he explains certain things on his explorations. teddybear lips lips
I could listen to Morgan Freeman forever....but then that's why he's asked to narrate so much
wave I was fortunate enough to meet Morgan when he came to South Africa ,when we wanted him to play the part of Nelson Mandela that we made a movie of.NICE CHOICEhug lips lips
Hi Candy, is he as nice as he appears? I have watched Shawshank more than once just for that voice
Johnny I've listened to people who resemble something being ran across a blackboard.
wave Johnny it should be quite interesting to know how you or I would react to each others accent. heart wings lips lips
What can I say Johnny dunno I find drunk people in general difficult to understand. Accents vary greatly according to region so I may have been as dunno as you were. laugh But I would have been happy to translate otherwise laugh
Candy...I thought about that....with everyone's accents on here.

I know when I mentioned about his heavy accent, that Irishman get embarrassed. I had to assure him it was fine. liar ...well, not lying if the background music wasn't so loud and he was not as drunk as he was. laugh
Okay Fraya....when you come to Michigan, we can go out and try to find that guy again. laugh
wave Fraya he is the most humble human being. It was the most amazing thing to experience the look of awe on our other "black" South African actors faces and if they were allowed to spend the rest of the day with him they would have been on cloud nine, but the boss lady Moonyeenn put a spoke in it very swiftly. No airs No graces .On the wall of my past accountancy job with the production company is a picture of the office staff ,me included on the wall with our Oscar we won for our movie Tsotsi,as Gavin Hood was also in our stable as is called in the film industryheart wings lips lips
Candy, I'm not disappointed then.
Johnny,
I prefer listening to women's voices reciting mantra's. I love the CD 108 Sacred Names of Mother Divine by Craig Pruess and Ananda. Her chanting is simply divine. I also love Deva Premal's work and Sheila Chandra - Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti Om. She is incredible chanting "peace!"

The voices I like to listen to are Morgan Freeman, David Attenborough and my favorite James Earl Jones.

Oh, his voice is so smooth and deep. smitten
Willow,

I will check out her mantras when I get a little more time. Thank you for sharing those with me. I have only listened to very few so I am still in the discovery stage. :)

It looks like there is an overwhelming approval for the deep voice...with the women here. :)

....and no....no deep voice on me. moping
Voice is definitely important to me. If the way someone speaks irritates me I find it difficult to consentrate on what he/she is saying. My brain goes into please shut up mode especially when it is a loud high pitched voice.
I can remember here in England a few years backgrin doh many years back they wanted to teach all kids (queens english) meaning all accents and dialogues would be eliminated moping that would be just awful, i love different tones etc in someones voicedoh not altogetherrolling on the floor laughing you get me.
Thanks Ken, Ek, and Red,

I enjoyed reading your experiences and your preferences. Hmmm, I wonder. People get disqualified for how they sound...something they are born with and cannot help. But....I can certainly understand.

I wish I had more time to elaborate. But, my weekend has been crazy and continues to be.

Thank you all.

wave
Maybe they can't help it, but that doesn't mean I have to live with it too. laugh
