Trump wins

It's almost over.

Of course the anticipation is on the overdrive.

This is a very interesting note. Published very recently from CNBC.

This stock market metric says the likely winner is...Trump

The stock market's election year performance between July 31 and Oct. 31 has often accurately predicted the next president — and this year it's pointing to a victory by Donald Trump, if history is a guide.
Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist at CFRA, says the market's decline this fall has been a bad omen for the incumbent party and Hillary Clinton, who still holds a six point national lead in a new poll. The S&P 500 is down 2.2 percent since its close of 2,173 on July 29, a Friday and the last trading day of July.
"Going back to World War II, the S&P 500 performance between July 31 and Oct. 31 has accurately predicted a challenger victory 86 percent of the time when the stock market performance has been negative," he said. The one time in eight that the incumbent party won with a negative stock market was in 1956, when Adlai Stevenson challenged President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Stovall said in that year, Britain and France joined with Israel in a military action against Egypt over the Suez Canal. It was also the year of the Hungarian Revolution.
"This time around if the Democrats retain the White House, I will come up with two responses. One is that history is a guide but never gospel, and two, the negative performance by the market could be a reflection of the worry of domination that a Democratic sweep would bring," said Stovall.
The market had been concerned about the possibility that Democrats would take the House of Representatives, but on Monday, after new revelations about an FBI probe into emails of a Clinton staffer, those worries were pushed into the background.
Stovall said when the market has been higher in the same period, the incumbent party won 82 percent of the time since World War II. The exceptions have been 1968, when there was a third-party challenger, George Wallace, and in 1980, when the third-party candidate was John Anderson. Gary Johnson is the third-party Libertarian candidate this year.

Even though probabilities have slipped, Clinton remains favored to beat Trump in the prediction market. PredictIt.org had her odds at 71 percent.
Daniel Clifton, head of policy research at Strategas, said it still looks as if Clinton will win, but the latest investigation news may affect the down-ballot Congressional races. He too notes that the historic guide of market performance prior to the election is not pointing to a win by the Democrat. He said when market performance over the three months leading up to election day has been negative, there has never been a victory by the incumbent party going back to 1984. So far, the S&P 500 is down about 2.5 percent since Aug. 8, three months before the election Nov. 8.
"We've now gotten this black swan event on Friday. It may have impact, it may not have any impact," said Clifton, adding the market may be signalling Clinton wins by less than people expect. He said the stock market usually rallies in the last week before the election.
"I would say on face value it's saying prepare to be surprised on Tuesday," said Stovall.

I'm aware our concerns on the US election has taken a lot of space in the blog world but it is only about 7 days more and will be over.
Z wave nice to see you. It's so sunny on my side of the world.

Anyways I just read it a few minutes ago and thought how interesting it is. It does claim based on their predictions of the past, their ratio of success is almost 100 percent. cheers
And on the popular poll yes he's ahead. I think because of the wiki leaks release of more harmful emaila for Hilarys position.
I don't think newspaper headlines like this have done her any favours either laugh

Clintons are a ‘CRIME FAMILY’ as bad as the GAMBINO MOB, ex-FBI chief says.
Yes Z, what bothers me is that many government officials are in jail for much less crime, and Nixon too, remember? frustrated
I feel bad for America whoever wins.
Can I ask a question to all you politicos out there, speaking as a non US citizen.
Why is a vote for a third party candidate, rather than Trump or Hillary, regarded as a waste of a vote?
Why are folks who are planning to 'vote with their conscience' , not voting for either Trump or Clinton regarded as having wasted their vote.
I asked this question on the forum but got zero traction with it.
Thanks.
Track don't feel bad, let's just say, it's better to be positive.
Not a doctor, it can be both waste and not depending on which side you're in.

It's wasted generally because that candidate will not win. If the voter wouldn't have voted, it gives the same result.

But the interesting part us it can influence the result of the election. For instance the third party candidate will generate more votes that could have been for either Trump or Hilary.

Now on the part of the voter who opted for the third party, I'm sure they don't feel it's a waste. It's their rightful exercise of freedom. They feel good and not at all feeling wasted because that's how they embrace their participation.

In record no third party candidate ever won. Now figure it out yourself if it's a waste or not. For me it is.
Elle, lollaugh

Wouldn't be so interesting if it happens?

Now we're back to being subjects instead of citizens. No constitutional rights, no freedom. ..lol..

Yes repulsive and or obnoxious. Yay.

Anyways we just have to wait. sad flower
It can be both. Vanity perhaps is more fitting as they know it just doesn't benefit anyone before or after the election.

However for the sake of freedom it's a way of saying, we can protest against the popular choice.

Vanity is fed for the candidate because he can claim in his record that he was once a candidate for that powerful position. Inane as it sounds.
This is interesting, considering how liberal this guy is. I'm impressed.
Interesting! I talked to a friend of mine last night and he was going to vote for Jill Stein! He decided to not waste his vote and now he is voting for Trump! Smart man!thumbs up
Jim that makes me two of us.

If only these people will wizen up then we'd be in a better position.

But remember there's 3 million Muslims here and you and I know who they'll be voting for if they can vote.

The illegals guess who they will support, then those relatives who are now legalized, whom will they endorse. It is not going to be an easy one Jim, that's for sure.
Really...
If the stakes were not so high in this election, I would vote 3rd party. I do not feel that we even have a 2 party system as it is. This, Trump is truly the 3rd party, in Republican clothing.
Case in point, Bush is voting for Hillery??
I feel that a 3rd party would be in our countries benefit.
Look at Iceland. Third party wins out of the obis.
People do seem to be becoming out of glaze of the Globalist order.
We will soon find out for our selves.
Hello Mic, you absolutely lost me there.

Anyways, granting all of the people who don't want either Hilary and or Trump will out number these candidates then, by golly in the forthcoming elections if there will still be a USA, would definitely set up a system where the Third Party voting is a win win situation.

I just can't seem to justify why I see as not wasted even with your complicated explanation.dunno confused
Well Cheav, perhaps we should rethink what is going to happen to this country if the third party candidate wins. That will probably lead to the best explanation of them all.

Scenario: Let us say whoever is the third party candidate, does he even know what is happening to this country? Let alone the future? What are his goals and his take on any of the issues both foreign and domestic? Do you think these voters really care for the future? Or they are simply doing this to express their disdain of the two candidates whom they abhor?
Not that complicated, Linds...
If one believes the election of either of them would be a loss...
one would believe that a vote FOR either of them would be a wasted vote.

cowboy
Well, In response to both of the above comments. 3rd party vote will not be the way to go. For 1, a win for them would have no backing at all in the congress nor senate.
I really do not have a problem with Puten. If one looks at history, his actions are purely defensive.
Sorry Folks! I do not think the tiger will bite unless you push him too far into a corner.
Which, if one does their research is what happened in the Ukraine. And every where else.
And, I do not see Trump as a push over. The fact that some one will listen to another perspective, I consider a mental form of strength.
I do have some issues. However, Hillery has a track record not many people want to look at. And my history goes way back to Water Gate. She was fired from the commission at that time because of her lying, and unconstitutional views. That is documented. She is what she is! That is why she was picked up by the people who want a Global agenda. Bush was the first to stand upon a new world order. Thus his vote for Hillery.
My views.
On your complicated and contradictory explanation Mic, meaning the third party voters, think to themselves that whoever wins between the two is a loss for them and that is why they vote for the third party. Just to make it more of them a loser? confused

Then why did they even bothered believing in something that would never happen. As a goal to express their protest, they would just have to buy a newspaper company and simply and outrageously express what they have done in the voting? Could have accomplished the same thing.
And Miss McCain? An editor for Fox News!!! I do not care for her husbands views either!!
Right you are, rcm! cheers

How many times in that 3 minutes do you see 'Hillary'? or 'Don'? love
Isn't it providential that there are three of them...so one's favorite third party candidate can be included? (Unlike certain debates mumbling )

On an artistic & symbolic level, might not the large fellow in the last segment represent the electorate?

I dare you to watch that...& not lyao rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Cheav...I suspect some of Putin's current maneuvering may be intended to convince voters that Don might be the better choice...so he'll have a doofus with whom to deal on the geo-political stage.
Hell...if Doofus gets in, Putin might work The Art Of The Deal' on him & get Alaska back for Russia.
Don't laugh. scold It's a strange year. Anything can happen.

Hill has countered by re-introducing LBJ's '64 Daisy Girl ad...the original Daisy Girl even appears in the new version!

Elect Hillary. Indict her for...whatever.
At this point, what difference does it make?! roll eyes

Swear Kaine in as VP...and then Prez.
(This has been suggested & Constitutionally cleared by another talk show host, Mark Levin.)
We're like a drowning man grabbing at a razor here!
It's one possible path outta this quagmire.

If you're convinced The Don is fractionally less deplorable than Hill is disgusting, cheav, then by all means that is how you should vote. cheers

I'm not at all convinced they're both not psychopaths who'd stoop to anything.
Either one of 'em would steal Jesus off the cross.
And go back for the nails.

Thanks for responding to my question Miclee.
You have a big ole brain under that hat tip hat

I'm so glad I don't have to vote as I don't like Trump or Clinton (neither Clinton for that matter).
Though I'd certainly trust Hillary more with the nuclear launch codes.

This talk by kinda conservative Andrew Sullivan and quasi liberal Sam Harris made sense to me, if anyone interested.
A longy but a goody:

Anyway good luck 'Mureka.

Me neither Chwav, good morning.

Did you know Huma resigned as Clinton's manager?

Shaking up the house Cheav. Pretty soon no more.
Muc, that pie slapping might be a very aggressive choice but then again, as long as it's freshly baked pie, I think not a problem. bouquet
Every one tries to call that a "tax cut for the rich"! Heavens! They do not pay any taxes as it is. The 48% tax is smoke and mirrors!
Cheav read the above article.
So, that was the article Linds. I do resemble and can relate to it.
Thank You.
You're welcome fellow Californian.

Yes, it is very easy to be misguided considering the way the media can use its leverage to shield us from the truth.

We've already known that with all the main stream newspaper, television and radio are all owned by the same people that are in the pocket of the lying Democrat's, data and statistics that prove our direction to failure are all covered up. But with research and astute determination to know facts, your system works Cheav.

I hope people will know deep in their hearts who's going to help us, the majority and not just the elite.
Thanks Z, your interesting view in this imbroglio is inspirational to say the least.

Hilary is despicable. Unworthy of respect. If she didn't feel responsible enough to protect the lives of officials in benghazi imagine what does.

Thanks.
The polls are raising. I hope it stays that way for the rest of the remaining days.
