DIVISION IN THE WORLD

The world is gradually splitting up into freedom loving democracies and ruthless regimes.
Most of western Europe, North America, and Australasia will have to be self sufficient and not rely on countries outside their political beliefs for trade, energy supplies etc. The other regimes, example, Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, will increasingly look to each other for support and endeavour to benefit their political set ups.
Countries caught in the middle, example India, will have to decide who's side they are on.

STATE FUNERAL RISK

Any terrorist that wanted an opportunity to exploit a situation, would not have a more opportune moment than this. Thousands of people gathering, heads of state from many countries, including other countries royalty. The US president. No other occasion would be larger and have so much attention as this. A nightmare for security.

APOPHIS THE ASTEROID

A huge asteroid is expected to fly by earth on Friday 13th April 2029. It will get as close as 19000 miles from earth. It is 340 meters long and last visited earth briefly on 19 June 2004. if this object ever collided with this planet it would be a doomsday scenario.
Future plans are to put craft on asteroids to mine their valuable metals such as gold, silver, zinc, copper. If this could be achieved on the asteroid belt, this would of course be so valuable. Hopefully, the appropriate technology to nudge asteroids away from collision with earth will have been tested.

ARE ALL GOOD DEEDS SELFISH?

Yes, they are. If you help someone through a charitable act, such as giving a poor person money or buying them food, you would normally feel good from performing those kind of acts. The only reason you make those gestures is to satisfy your own mental needs and increase your well being.
Of course the person receiving the act of kindness would also benefit, but if there was no mental reward yourself, would you still have performed the act of kindness?

Your daily dose of Donald... 10-9-2022

I've been busy lately and apologize for not keeping up with the 5 or 6 new Trump stories that hit the news channels daily. There's so much stuff that it boggles the mind. How a 'one man hurricane' can muster up so much attention.

More documents?
The last few days there has been talk that not all the documents were seized from Mar-a-Lago and there must be more. I read a comment The Guardian took video of Trump directing the loading of at least 9 boxes to a private plane at the West Palm Beach airport. The manifest was to fly to Bedminster New Jersey. It's believed they are maintenance staff at Bedminster Club and they know where the boxes are.
It wouldn't surprise me if the DOJ serve him with more search warrants to search his New York offices, clubs and other residences.

Halloween past

We all have memories growing up what it was like during the Halloween season. Seems like a lifetime ago, as I have fond memories of Halloween. The cold crisp weather, the scary movies put out by various networks, and of course, the candy. thumbs up

I would say my favorite Halloween was spent on Halloween eve when my area had trick-or-treat night on that day every years from about 5pm to 6:30 or 7pm. It was 1984 when my gf came down to spend it with me. We strolled around the area and got with my friend Steve as he was handing out candy to the kids out on the step for and elderly couple he knew. We sat down with him for a bit as we went on our way back to my house. We sat out back in my lounge chair out in my back yard for a while, and I gotta say, it may not have seemed like a lot, but it was honestly like a little piece of heaven for me. As I have gotten older, these memories have become even more special for me.

If anyone would like to share their favorite Halloween moment, feel free.

Oh, and as for the candy, gotta love those peanut M&M's, Reese's, Kit Kat's, and Twix candy. jackolantern

Making plans for the USA! (part 4)

It's time for another installment of your favourite blog series: "Making plans for the USA!". On tonight's episode: Seats.

While I have no problem being assigned a seat at random when I check in, I do love a window seat. Do I scoff at an aisle seat? No. I just prefer a window seat. I love to look out over the clouds as they pass underneath me. It calms me down. Therefore, I decided to book my seats today, 206 days before departure. I booked 4 seats - one on the flight from Copenhagen to Frankfurt, from Frankfurt to Washington D.C., and the same for the trip home.

So.. Where are my seats? ...over the wings. Why did I pick those seats? Because I have this idea, that the wing is the strongest part of the plane. I know that the odds of dying in a plane crash it one in eleven million, but I'm still nervous every time I board a flight. I used to be scared of flying, but the more I do it, the more I find it boring. You're in a chair in a metal tube, hurtling through the air, and all you can really do is look out if the window. Or watch a movie. Or sleep. Or read a book. Or get hammered drinking champagne (or beer, whichever your wallet or bank account dictates).

Anyway...

The fact is, flying is super boring. The only fun thing is taking off. Then you'll really feel the absolute sheer POWER that those engines can produce. The plane I'm flying with to the USA from Frankfurt is a 64 meter long, 124.5 tonne, 871 km/h traveling, 277 passenger ANIMAL with a wingspan of 60 meters. The last speed filed was 567 mph, or 912 km/h. It must have had a tail wind or something.

Mind you, I DO love a good and smooth landing. You know, one of those landings that doesn't rattle your teeth out of your mouth, or cause an injury to your spine. I loved rough landings when I was younger, but not anymore. I guess I'm getting too old for that, and my body just isn't as young as it used to be.

Anyway, more episodes to come at a later date. The next update slash episode will be when I have saved up about $1000, which shouldn't take long. About three months, maybe less. Until then, you can look forward to regular blogs about.. Something else..

Until then:

Herschel Walker’s memory loss...

Herschel Walker is running for office. The position is the Georgia senate. His party is Republican and it's important for Republicans that he gets this win. His stance is anti-abortion. Digging into Herschel Walker’s past, finds a unidentified woman claimed he paid for her abortion years ago. She produced a receipt from the clinic and his get well card.
On video, he denied knowing of such woman. Less than 2 weeks later, it was revealed, not only did he know the woman, they had a child together.
Trumps is supporting Herschel... well, he was and is now laying low waiting for the dust to settle.
Other Republicans need this all-important win. So, they don't really care about his shady background as he's made claims for other things that he cannot substantiate.

Walker is a former American football running back who played professionally 12 seasons and I found it funny someone commented he must be suffering from head trauma and PTSD.
Herschel... they're on your side no matter what you have to bring to the table. Forget about moral fiber, Christian values and all those cool phrases. Don't worry about the claims of domestic violence, the four children from four different women you sired. All that should be a good background for a politician, especially with zero background in what's involved holding a position in public office!

Hopefully, you won't forget other issues so important as who's your daddy, baby momma or whatever they call it.
