Finished my exercise for today,great!

i have not been well, but I managed to do exercises as much as possible. I have done my target for today. I did jouging. Ifeel very pleased with myself. In life, when I was in a low time, Iset a target, and the number encourages me that Ihave done my target. Maybe this is life, when we are low,the little things can encourage us!

Men and women....birth control......

In many cultures the expectation is for women to be responsible for contraception. Many men are severely against using their own barrier protection. Cheap, easy, reasonably effective preventing pregnancy, and better than everything except abstinence for prevention of disease. But it's not just this refusal by men. Very little research on men has been done---almost all such work and results apply to women. Sure, it's said methods for men are harder to develop, but more likely it's just another example of attitudes between sexes.

Most Deaths During The Spanish Flu Were Due To Bacterial Pneumonia

How Many Deaths Attributed To Covid May Be Due To Bacterial Pneumonia?
I.E. People may've Died WITH Covid but FROM Bacterial Pneumonia?

How many lives may've been Saved if Covid patients had been treated with Antibiotics?
But antibiotics weren't Prescribed because Covid is Viral - Not Bacterial?

It also raises the question whether widespread masking is sound Public Health Policy.
Note the Dates - 2008 & 2015, respectively.

All that information was Available WELL Before Covid arrived on the scene.

His voice just knocked me over laughing. Good stuff.

I have a good friend whose 7 year old son has a malignant brain tumor. Surgery, Proton radiation, chemo, all that jazz. Long term prognosis for his condition, with all possible treatments is usually only about 15 months max, less if the treatments are not done or interrupted. So she is under a little bit of pressure. She has gotten super religious due pastors saying stuff like if you just pray really hard Jesus may hear you, and she is embracing that versus the alternative your kid will probably be dead by Christmas 2022. Understandable.
Anyway today she was on an FB rant from the hospital center she son was getting radiation at tonight. A rant about trying to do everything, continuing to work because someone has to put food on the table, how the boy's school is not really supportive, the abusive ex she divorced from years ago is being a butt hole and not helping because his current GF doesn't want him talking to his ex too much or some such thing, and how tired she is from driving the kid to the treatment center (about 50 miles each way) 6 days a week for the next 5 weeks, how she spent an hour praying to Jesus today, and how she has to go in early to keep her job while also getting her son to evening treatments and also helping with his school work, and cooking and how sometimes she just wants to cry because the boy is asking what happens if the tumor grows back or doesn't shrink, and she don't want to answer that, and the dish washer broke this afternoon, or stopped working anyway, won't stay locked. And ranting and not enough sleep, etc.
So I was looking for music to make her relax and maybe feel a little better and I tripped across this Russian sing off competition. Damn good rendition I thought. But yeah Mikhal's voice, I wasn't expecting that. I sent it to her and hope she likes it. I know I did. Jump to about 55 seconds if intros bore you. wine

Indian health system overwhelmed

Covid has its grip on India . News item on our radio saying that the Indian hospitals are out of oxygen . Victims were two per bed in some places .
With the new variants it will soon become clear if the vaccines will protect victims against all variants , or one for that matter . 2 or 3 of our front line workers have caught covid after being vaccinated , not enough to get a clear picture to see if any worthwhile protection can be gained by vaccination . Thankfully , I'd rather not know than have alot of NZ's infected to prove a point .

china has offered help , best thing they could do is nuke themselves

Thankfully they have health insurance

Just heard on the radio....yes....I do listen to the radio a lot, maybe too much. confused laugh

Anyway, they had a guest on their talking about the top cancer fighting medications and how they double and tripled in price in the past couple of years. He said, an increase in price like that usually takes much longer time. Even with insurance, a patient can still spend upwards to $100,000 a year on medicine. Basically, taking, the majority who can afford this medication, their life savings. Thankfully we have insurance....still broke anyway. very mad

It seems as big business can stick it to the population no matter what.

I am truly sore.

Last night I played 2 games (double header) of softball in south NJ.
One was a regularly scheduled game and one was a rainout make-up game.
I did a tremendous amount of running..... in both games.

This morning I had a regularly scheduled double header in central NJ.
4 games in 16 hours is more than what I played, when I was 25 years old.
I'm well over twice that age now.

Next year, I'm holding on my contracts, until I get a lovely full time masseuse guaranteed.
You teammates want me running in the outfield, running when I get on base, and running for you,
when you get on base (courtesy runner), better pony up some ca..ching for my new to be hired masseuse. hug

tongue

Too bad my usual one, is currently living on her yacht off the coast of Florida. sigh
