I Just Read A Blog About Quitting A Bad Habit. For me, at this point in my life (if my life was a football match, l'd be back out for the second half ) l think it is as easy to start a good habit as a bad one.
Too many people show weakness just to fit in. After covid 19, people will be more respectful of the people around them.
As a cyclist it occurs to me that what we call social distancing is about the amount of space a car should clear a cyclist on the road by. Maybe people can think that way in future.

I am 91 years old, how can I have a 2nd birthday? Today is my 38th birthday ! Here is how it happened, 38 years ago today, July 3, 1978, I received a triple bypass, it saved my life. Now
I am the longest living human with a triple, proud to say that. I wont go in to another aspect preceding the operation, but, a real Angel came to me to help me through the process. I might not say an Angel helped me, but I had a witness to the fact. I am not like some , like a past President, who clamed God told him to be President , no witness to that event, could he have been patronizing the Evangelical crowd seeking votes?
Should any of you know of a person with a longer history of a bypass than mine, I will retract my claim, medical authorities cannot find another person. studecar (Larry) :applause

Yep, after my 'infamous' walk to the store yesterday (see other blog), I went to a pharmacy and got vaccinated.
This was not my first one either. We microbiologists have an inside access.
This was my second vaccine for this virus.
It didn't hurt much at all. There's a little soreness where the needle went in, but not much.
No other side effects at all. Yeah, as I was sayi......BILL GATES IS GOD.
Whoa. Where did that come from ? Probably just a typo.

Just kidding. Besides, the vaccine I got was against shingles. I got the first shot in January.
The second one yesterday. The odd part & this is real - I tried to get the second shingles shot
a couple of months ago. But, because of Covid-19 no one wanted to give vaccines.
I said, "how the heck are you going to give Covid-19 shots, when that vaccine becomes available,
if you're too afraid to give shots ?" I got a lot of blank stares.

A month from now, I scheduled a pneumonia shot. I'll get a flu shot in December and hopefully
a Covid-19 shot before the year is up. Vaccines. They work for you. They prime the immune system
to give a faster more complete response, if you do get infected.

They just found out that Covid vaccines cause body parts to fall off. Different vaccine, different part. With Pfizer, your ears are gonna drop off. Now days, i am felling very depressed because of ongoing exams.. i try to avoid it. but i am unable to overcome it..

Hi guys! This is a recount of my experience when I became positive of Covid even with vaccination 2 weeks prior.

Monday. It was a normal day, there wasn't even a lot of work. But I couldn’t control my sleepiness throughout the day. And the nagging pain in the middle point in my back I thought was just caused by the cold. I also felt really lazy, but I shrugged it off and pushed myself to do extra work just so I can forget about being sleepy.

Tuesday. Same thing, uncontrollable sleepiness, and back pain. This time I just gave in to laziness and did only what i had to do that day. Cough started, not severe, but noticeable. I was weak and despite everybody complaining of being hot, i was cold even when i have jacket on. I got home after work and slept early. At around 11pm, i was shaking. With very high fever. I think i was shaking for more than an hour. But at 1am I just got up and drank hot water. And sent my colleague a text that I will not make it to work in the morning.

Wednesday. I went to the employee physician and she ordered swabbing for covid. I was already taking meds so, the doctor said to just continue with the meds. I took a swab and went home to isolate as per policy. I was not feeling good. So I just slept. I had fever and chills again around 1am.

Thursday. The report came in Positive. I was kind of expecting it because I never had chills before when I get fever. Also the sick feeling is so different than I’ve ever experienced before.

Friday. Nausea. I tried my best to pour out whatever is trying to get out from my guts, but they just wouldn’t go. And the bitter taste in my mouth stays no matter how many times I brush and gargle. But no more fever and cough has subsided. Thank God.

Hopefully I will have a full recovery soon.

Last week I found out that a friend of mine had died. He was a good no bullshit guy that most of us got along with. Working in Africa can be hot and time permitting we always had a few drinks at night after being out in the field all day. I'll never forget the story that he told us one night about this recurring dream he was having ever since he was a young boy. He told us about the dream in detail and one could 'feel' this dream was bothering him a lot. In the dream he was untying a rope under a shed when suddenly a bolt of lightening struck him and how he could feel his spirit leave his lifeless body.
Well according to his wife he was loosening a old dog-chain (lead) under a tree when lightening struck. He was killed instantly.

Was this coincidence or was his fear justified?
