Egyptian Flu

This is a sexua11y transmittable disease where the host is always a woman. The virus has a gestation period of about 280 days. The host may be infected several times during her lifetime until later in her life when she will permanently become immune against this virus.professor

At the end of the incubation period, the host turns into a mummy (if she is not already in that condition); hence the term ‘Egyptian Flu. Though the virus had run its course and every thing may seem to be back to normal, nothing is ever the same afterwards. The consequences are far reaching.wink

This infection is normally first observed when the woman ‘skips’. Huh? And I always thought that skipping was something done with a rope to get fit.confused

The most typical symptoms include, among other, being nauseous, the swelling of the abdomen, the enlargement of the breasts, and an uncontrollable craving for certain foodstuffs at the most ridiculous times, sometimes for something that she does not normally like to eat.doh

The source of the virus is always a male. In certain cases the excessive presence of a toxin named testosterone, drives the male into a frenzy trying to infect as many hosts as possible. The male should not be chastised for this. It is beyond his control.grin

The best way to prevent being infected is for the female to keep a pea between her knees. As long as she keeps it there, she will not be affected.idea

There are several other ways to prevent infection but that is beyond the scope of this blog. You should Google ‘family planning’ for more information as this infection can have a negative impact on your personal finances and, if left unchecked, it may run havoc with the global population statistics.scold

Doesn't it bother you?

If you happen to be one of the loudmouths round here, browbeating anyone who will listen to you into believing that Covid vaccines are dangerous, does it never even twinge your conscience slightly that someone could die because of you? Some people may well have a bad reaction to the vaccine, but the number of people who have died from Covid because they hadn't had the vaccine is infinitely greater.

You may be an armchair medical expert who's seen a few crackpot anti vax videos, and read some Mickey Mouse articles on the internet, and if you believe the crap they tell you, don't have the vaccine, but who do you think you are to take it upon yourself to influence others in their decision whether to have it?

For God's sake, do what you like with your own health, but leave everyone else alone to come to their own decisions themselves.

A meeting with Giant Aloe Vera Plants, their Components and Health Benefits.

It has been raining and raining and raining for weeks.

A half an hour walk at least during these rainy weeks that seemed endless was just impossible.

Until a few days ago when the rain has finally stopped and sun has come out and I decided to make the most of it by going through a walk on the cliffs.

As always when the specific route is taken during my walks, I came across these GIANT ALOE VERA PLANTS.

These specific aloe vera plants always fascinated me exactly for this, their size!.

In comparison to the small aloe vera plants in pots up to then seen by and known to me, they are absolutely MASSIVE and GIGANTIC.

Shortly afterwards, the size of these aloe vera plants would not be the only thing, I was going to be fascinated about as, shortly afterwards, I begun researching and learning about their components and health benefits.

More than 75 components have been identified in the aloe vera plant including among others, minerals, amino acids, vitamins, enzymes and saccharides.

The components identified in the aloe vera plant can be extensively seen in the chart below,

Some of the benefits of the aloe vera plant are,

1. Treats burns and soothes skin irritations and rushes including, wounds, dermatitis and o*al mucosites.

Aloe vera has also been used for the treatment of psoriasis, frostbike and inflammations.

2. Has been used for the treatment of diabetes.

3. Treats constipation.

4. Heals cold sores.

5. Helps with digestion.

6. Boosts the immune system.

7. Provides antioxidants and reduces inflammations.

8. Protects teeth and gum.

Aloe vera in tooth gels is as effective as toothpaste in fighting cavities.

9. Protection from skin damage after radiation therapy.

10. Has been used as a natural remedy for asthma and stomach ulcers.

11. Aloe gel has been used for treating osteoarthritis & bowel diseases.

12. Moisturises hair and scalp.

The size of these aloe vera plants is not the only thing that fascinates me any longer. But, their components and health benefits as well.

New Normal...Old Normal.

It's taken a year and seven months but we here finally seem to be back to normal, not a new normal just the old normal, all be it with masks in shops and public transport etc, in "normal" every 10 weeks or so some of us locally gather for a party, this came about after the 3 bars in the village closed some years back and a couple from the UK, who own a holiday home here, missed meeting up in the bar as part of their regular holidays here, so they decided to hold a party at their house on a Sunday during their stay, until yesterday the last time this happened was in early summer of last year, it was during the lull between waves where travel restrictions were lifted for a while, however it was only us Brits willing to take a chance at that time and the Spanish contingent declined, so it was a fairly small affair. Yesterday we all met together for the first time since March 2020.

A lot of our region reached level zero this week, that's an end of all local restrictions, mask law being national, our part of the region is due to get to level zero this week, Covid only formed a small part of the conversation yesterday, being our first chance to catch up on what's happened during the last year and a half, nobody there was in any doubt what made the return to normal possible, vaccination, nobody had heard of anyone they knew dying from being vaccinated though we all knew someone who'd died from Covid, one doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to look at the data graph for Spain and see where the vaccine effect kicked in, Spain has now vaccinated 90% of all available adults.

Nobody knows what the future holds, but so far nobody here has become magnetic, we all still had the same number of arms and legs, though after a few drinks some still seem unable to use them, so no change there doh laugh , nobody is showing any signs of becoming a crocodile, and those vaccinated very early in the UK have zero ill effects from having vaccine, most I spoke to, like me, had zero effects from having the vaccine though I have heard some people feel unwell for a few days afterwards.

So for now, here at least, Covid seems to be a closed book.

confused about the vaccine

I hear on the news....or at least they make it sound like...that if you are vaccinated you will not spread the virus. I literally just heard a report about the potential for spreading the virus in the Olympic games. They said that 80% of the athletes have been vaccinated and there was not much of a concern there for the spreading of the virus...but the audience was on average only 20% vaccinated...and that is where the real threat of spreading came from.

As far as I know, the vaccine only helped with mitigating the symptoms of the virus, but you could still get it. So in essence, a vaccinated person could indeed have the virus, spread it....and not even know they were spreading it because they were not suffering from the symptoms. I am not a brain surgeon...but, wouldn't that make them more of a risk for spreading it? I mean, at least the unvaccinated knew they were sick and would not be out in public areas....hence, spreading it less. dunno

Obesity is on the rise

In a world so full of starving many (UN says about 75 percent) why is this a continued problem in the first world?

Anyone?

What are the factors that contribute to this challenge?

Thanks all for your reads and participation.

Organ donor's right to choose

As everyone has the right to choose to be a donor
What is your opinion of the donors right to choose who gets the donated organ

Would you want your lungs to be given to a chain smoker or your liver to an alcoholic

After all if you have chosen to treat your body with respect and your organs are healthy enough to be considered suitable ...

Should you not have some say in the use of them

A huge can of worms. Updated.

Where should state health care end & personal responsibility begin, a question I reckon we'll all have to answer very shortly, the NHS in the UK has appealed & lost a court case over whether it's the health service that should provide the drug HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), this is a pre-exposure drug effective at preventing hiv-aids & the NHS estimate of cost is £20 million a year, quite how they've estimated how many would need to take it is another question confused , there are as I see it two moral questions here -

Firstly, should members of the public be expected to pay for someone else's irresponsible s*xual practises, it could be argued that £20m isn't that much & the NHS spends way more on people who overeat or smoke dunno

Secondly, and this is the biggy, if you've decided the NHS should provide this drug free the next step will be - Why aren't we providing it for 3rd world countries where the risks are even higher, are there lives not worth as much as ours dunno

The £20m would look like small change compared to the cost of providing this drug free to say just Africa, how much are we all prepared to pay for someone else's sex life dunno

Update, news today, seems possible the above is possibly no longer relevant wow no need of expensive pre-exposure drug when they may have the cure dunno cheering If so now the question will be who funds the drugs for the 35 million sufferers uh oh

Puffy ankles

Boring and unglamorous subject, yes, but blast it, a real problem. I sit at a computer most of the day, and in summer, even cold days, my ankles puff up. very mad I start every day with ankles like a racehorse and end it with shirehorse fetlocks.

I'm up and down the whole time getting coffee, I walk the dog every day, and I do a dance routine to keep fit at least 4 times a week, so it isn't lack of exercise. Same routine, winter and summer, why does it only happen in summer, and can anyone tell me how to stop it happening?
