Being Healthy by WATER in Ayurveda

Water is the first requirement of our body.
There are 4 rules of drinking water in Ayurveda.

1. Always drink warm water (37 C warm). Warm = body temperature.
Never drink cold water

2. Take water after 90 to 120 minutes after taken food. Don't drink water instantly after food, wait for 90 to 120 minutes. If you want drink water before food then 40 to 60 minutes before eating food.

3. Always drink water slowly-slowly as like you drink hot tea or coffee.

4. Early morning when you wake-up instantly drink water about 1 to 2 liter (according to body capacity), after then go for toilet.

DO NOT EAT THOSE BABY CARROTS IN BAGS, EVER!

DO NOT EAT THOSE BABY CARROTS IN BAGS, EVER!
Did You Know?: The small cocktail (baby) carrots you buy in plastic bags are made using the larger crooked or deformed carrots which are put through a machine which cuts and shapes them into cocktail carrots.
Once the carrots are cut and shaped into cocktail carrots, they are dipped in a solution of water and chlorine in order to preserve them. This is the very same chlorine used in pools. Since they do not have their skin or natural protective covering, they give them a pretty hefty dose. You will notice that once you keep these carrots in your refrigerator for a few days, a white coating will form on them. This is the chlorine resurfacing. Chlorine is a very well-known carcinogen, which causes cancer. Stick with carrots the way they grow in nature. They are a little more work to slice, but it’s worth it to avoid dosing yourself with chemicals.

How modern life is making men infertile.

"Sperm quality is a good indicator of male fertility but it can also say a lot about men's overall health.
Low sperm count is related to all kinds of morbidities including heart disease, diabetes, reproductive cancers and ultimately length of life.
Abnormal sperm can also cause miscarriages.

If a couple can't get pregnant or if a woman has miscarriage, it's always assumed that it's the woman's fault.
Now we know that it's a shared responsibility and getting the quality of the eggs is much more difficult than for a man to count his sperm or get the quality of his sperm.
The study dispels the myths and stereotypes that often make women the culprits for infertility."

Health, yes, but how about mental health?

The opportunity for expression of thoughts on CS is a blessing, and the cyber scrutinizers at CS have been quite broad in thinking what is acceptable. We see all sorts of political, social, cultural, personal and other musings, and responses can be enlightening, supportive, critical, informative, corrective, and much more. Of course, these free sites are not always a love fest of sound mental health. It doesn't take specialized training to appreciate this, but I suspect some with such experience will see health, thankfully, in most places, but sadly, the serious absence of such, in others. We don't need to get personal here, but to just mention experiences, if relevant. Humor and kindness never hurt, as well.

Captain Kirk isn't dead

Bill Shatner is a little annoyed to have had his death announced on a Facebook link. This social media thing is getting out of hand.

However his spirited response does mention he is 87 today, 22nd March. Spock already died.

Even Captain Picard is 77. Ok, enough Star Trek.

Hands up anyone older now than people who had seemed old to you when they died - Elvis was 42, Freddie Mercury was 45, Michael Jackson 51. uh oh

Hey, look on the bright side, if you're over 50, even over 40, you're a survivor!

grin

now having survived today's tutoring I am putting on arctic clothing and venturing upstairs to paint out rooms, if exposure doesn't drive me back downstairs or freeze me to death. Will catch up with any comments from those over 40 while I defrost with coffee. Spring sprang yesterday, so where IS it?

How effective really is a mask?

By now, the science is settled: Wearing a mask is the easiest, least intrusive way to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. Understanding why isn’t rocket science, but it’s not always intuitive, either. If you—or someone you know, say, a misinformation-spreading Facebook friend—are looking for a handy explainer, try this YouTube video from It’s Okay to Be Smart.

Viruses can be difficult to understand because they’re invisible to the naked eye, traveling inside water droplets on unseen air currents. With a technique called schlieren imaging, though, we can see these air currents, and that’s what It’s Okay to Be Smart uses to demonstrate how masks work.

The science behind schlieren imaging is a little complicated, involving a spherical mirror bending light in subtly different ways to reveal differences in density that would otherwise be invisible. It’s important to note that this doesn’t let us see viruses—they’re too small for that—but it does let us see how air flows when we exhale.

Using a combination of slow motion and schlieren imaging, the video reveals what a cough looks like with and without a mask. The differences are striking. The unmasked cough creates a massive plume of potentially virus-laden air, traveling much farther than you’d expect—about 2 meters, which is why social distancing means staying outside that zone.

A mask does two things: First, it captures much of the droplets expelled when you cough, sneeze, or breathe; second, any that aren’t captured have their momentum blunted, keeping them from traveling very far. That means less chance of infection for people around you. The bottom line is that masks work—and this is a good video showing you exactly why.

It is up to the reader to decide, but this video makes total sense to me.

LIFE HAS CHANGED, new update

Noticed the new comments and wanted to reply by saying thank you so much for your concern.

I have finished all radiation and chemotherapy and just got back my MRI reports and everything is looking good, now I will be soon starting my immunotherapy for 1 year.

As far as I feel now, I feel good. When dealing with brain cancer you don't walk away without damage to the brain. I do not live a life of depression it is a life of frustration, your whole life has changed. I have problems with some communications but I seem to be able to perform good. I still have to be careful with being dizzy and don't do things to tire myself out. Overall all so far I believe things are going well

Once again thank you for your concern, prayers, strong energy you send me. Bless you

Low Carb Diet, Fountain Of Youth

I started low carb diet last December 2021. I used to be semi-vegan.
Eating food with carbohydrates below 100g is a must.
In the low carb diet there is an IN and OUT list.

Foods that are OUT
sugar, sweet fruits, soda, chips, cheese, breads, vegetables that have inflammatory effect in the body, rice, juices, dairy, pastas and noodles
Foods that are IN
meats, eggs, sea foods fish, vegetables, almond flour, coconut flour, black coffee, shirataki: rice, noodles & pastas

Intermittent fasting is observed daily for ketosis or fat burning.
My fasting schedule that was given by my low carb diet coach is 12pm & 8pm.
I can have 2 meals a day. Lunch 12pm and dinner 8pm.

My coach suggested exercise every other day.
Muscle isolation exercise by platform vibration machine I did.

During the first 2 months I belched a lot. 12 times in 10 mins.
I have GERD from the diet. Drink a lot of water.
Feeling too weak to move. I tire easily.
Sometimes I experience hypoglycemia from my ketosis.
But the benefits of low carb is really wow!

My food allergy is gone.
I can now eat shrimps, clams , mussels, chicken and eggs.
I now enjoy wearing denim jeans. My waistline is now visible.
Abdominal muscle is gradually showing up in my tummy.
Breasts are more firm even without a bra.
Facial muscles are taut no dropping eyelids & double chin.

I am much healthier now. Than last year.
2019 I was rushed in the emergency room for pain in my lower abdomen.
The doctor have no idea what it was. CT scan is needed.
Kidney stone deposits are revealed!
Thank God I can get well by taking medications no surgery.
I paid P15,000+ hospital bills in less than 24hrs.
Kidney stone medication for a month at P5,000.
Today
No hospital & cosmetic enhancement bills too.
My final decision is to keep my low carb diet.
Even though I reach my target weight & waistline.
I want to live long and look young without cosmetic surgery.
I save on money by being healthy.

Pandemic Schmandemic--EIS, CDC, WHO... Medico-schmos....the lot....

....At the prestigious Vierk Institute, we of course specialize in the study of severe behavioral syndromes affecting reason and judgment, not to mention understanding, and the inability not to piss up the old kilt, ---such as TD-HD Syndromes. But we have a great infectious disease division as well, responsible for proving, among other things, that wanton unprotected anonymous sex by male homosexuals was the largest initial factor in the rapid spread of HIV-AIDs, as to innocent little Black girls, in sickle cell disease crises, and others, via the fago tainted blood supply. But I digress. Based on our vast experience as medical detectives, while we agree that this recent world problem is of course largely caused by the virus known as Novid 19, there are also strong factors that coincidentally correspond to the recent US presidential primary debates. It seems that so much PANDERing makes many sick, leading to vomiting (EMESIS), especially in those with preexisting conditions. This, we show, lowers the ability of the immune system to fight off these nasty little vuckers. Now that these global health organizations have finally declared that a pandemic exists, as of today, we really think other names apply. We suggest PANDEREMESIS, to better fully reflect the etiology. As with TD-HDS, we are hot on the tails of a cure.
