So I have old fashioned morals and principles...I cant help it..it is who I am and yet I find myself adrift in this new weird world of dating or what I think of as dating.
A little background in order to understand, I'm nearly 50 years old. I have had 2 long term relationships both 10 years the rest of the time single..so now I find myself wishing and wanting to share time with a man again so on a friends suggestion trying a 'dating site'. I'm at a loss to understand the mind games and untruths..when did it all become all about sex?? ok I hear you say...old fashioned...yes I am but I would like to take the time to get to know a person by personality before I jump into bed with them..oh and I'm not a Jennifer Aniston or Michelle Phiefer look alike...I'm a real woman with curves...do men really just want a play thing to be discarded when the sweet shop opens again ?? If I sound angry I dont mean to be...just want to understand so I can get off the rolller-coaster

What ever Happen to Men Treating a Lady Like the way she should be Treated ,Holding the Car door Open for her , Pulling out her Chair for her to sit down,,,Showing up at her Place with Flowers to Take Her out On a Date to a Movie or Out for a Nice meal.Or Going for a walk hand and Hand and going some place nice where you can sit and Talk and get to know one another ,,well as Far as I.am concern that is long Gone ,,,These days all men seem to want is a Cheap Roll in the Hey ,and Talk about sex ,, No more Morals or Values left out there ,, Don;t take this the Wrong way I.am no Prude ,But I would Like to get to Know someone First before I take the Next step. I was Brought up with Morals and Values and Taught to Respect Myself . and to act like a Lady not some Cheap Bimbo ...I know there has to be a Gentleman out there some where and I sure would Like to meet someone Like that someday ..

A recent event got me wondering what must be going on behind the scenes here. I am now imagining a frenzy of private messages hurtling back and forth, discrediting enemies and attempting to form alliances. What actually gets posted is probably but a tiny glimpse of the full picture. Obscure accusations that no one understands, apart from those directly involved, seem to appear on a regular basis. I say obscure, but perhaps it’s just me that finds them so, maybe everyone else knows what they are about.

It might be a good idea to add an extra feature to the site; a separate section, increasing the options for expressing our thoughts. We already have the Forum and Blogs, what we need now is a Washing Dirty Laundry In Public section.

The dating world amuses me now for real, not always in a good way. The online environment is very different from the real world dating hugely and not everyone seam to spot it.
1) We can just type the figures and search like shopping products.
2) we don't have the feromones, body language nor facial expressions the matching communication is based on in the real world.
This is now very interesting that we all can look at our prospective 'datees' in purely technical way. What they wrote is now everything. Different but interesting so, to get out of people the most about them in the way they will remain real in their answers and showing their true colors I was looking the brain/mind puzzle to solve with someone and see if we will enjoy solving it together. Life together is a big puzzle after all. This is where I came up with a hypothetical question but, the answers were not what I thought it may be. I always thought that intelligent person can talk about everything (not being an expert), ....wellllll..., I was wrong.
The question was 'If the black holes could speak, what their story would be like?'; only one going into theoretical philosophical path, no one gone for science path, one held for research topic further (curiosity and growing is noble) the rest of answers made me to love online, black guys lecture me on racism (haaa ha ha), Asian dudes reacted to the word 'whole' and run for sexval paths (nooooo!), white guys combined both of those nonsense paths and concluded that I'm up to black guys (ha ha ha, no!)

In one moment I appreciated online dating as some of those guys turned into vishous name calling. How wonderfully I don't have to meet those people.

What do you think? Are online dating sites becoming a thing of old? I know with this site, I hear about how boring the blogs are becoming and therefore people are just not interested in coming to the site as frequently. There is another dating site that I have been on for some time too...and I don't use it hardly at all anymore because it just seems to be a waste of time more than anything else. But, I recently rechecked it out...being bored...and I noticed that the number of users online was significantly less...nearly half as less as I remember it. Perhaps the concept of the dating sites I use (which is only 2) is becoming outdated to some extent and people are finding other means of meeting? Or, perhaps...people don't have any interest on meeting others anymore? Or even more perhaps, maybe I have just not gotten enough information to make any sort of determinations?

He's strutting by wearing white gym vest and a Capri a little too snug for comfort. Funny ensemble but the girls aren't watching his bland choice of wardrobe; rather, the tight toned muscles all over this magnificent mass of human cells. His abs peek through the tight top, one could draw the muscles of his thighs buy just staring at his shorts and those majestic arms swung sublimely from side to side, seeming to avoid the rest of the torso, the runner up of this pop-up competition. He passed by with his head in his cellphone, oblivious of the female gawking nearby.

I have always been a special individual. Not special as in a disability or deficiency. But special in that I never seem to flow with the norm or society when it comes to areas such as fashion, ‘the latest” and body standards.

He drives hastily into the parking lot to grab some beer and WD-40 before the store closes at 6. A female ogling at the puffed up wonder who has almost disappeared around the corner bounces into him. “G’day lady, careful there, have a nice day!” She stared and seemed disgusted and walked away.

I have always been a special individual. I am getting off my car. I see him hastening across. Mature, tall, full bodied, blessed with a belly, and scruffy beard on a kind tired face. I can tell he is a hardworking dude by the look on his face and his tired outfit. Hmm. I too am going to the store, and happy I chose this day. 3 years being single, are you gonna blame me for looking? Selectively looking s’il vous plait. So here’s why I fall for bigger middle aged guys.

I love the maturity that comes with 50+. Yes you find total idiots in this range as well, but the odds of finding someone who wants to settle down and treat you right without the feeling that you are being experimented on is very high.

There is so much more to love and to hold on a full bodied man. I am a sucker for cuddling and I want to feel lost and engulfed in a cuddle. I want to snug up like a pupa in a cocoon [me being the pupa] and that is soooo important to me. I want to feel flesh, warmth, and mass. Maybe I have a fetish for bigger guys; are you going to act judgmental when I can maybe proudly say what mine is and you can’t, for the fear of being deleted from this site?

I love the feeling of being smaller, younger, worshiped, and dependent as I look up to him as older, bigger, in charge and as my superior who treats me as his princess.
Did I say I was weird? Yes I am, and please don’t lose sleep over it.

I inch closer to where he is standing by the cold drinks. The item I am trying to grab on to falls because I have no basket and my hands are full. He quickly comes to my rescue. That kind genuine smile fenced by his greying mustache and beard is breathtaking. He picks it up and places it on my arms. “Let me get you a basket.” I blink my eyes and he is there, saving my day with a basket. “Are you ok?” I say yes, shyly. He takes my hand and says, “I’m Tom, nice to meet you.”

I reply, “Umm Tom..” Yes I am gawking, and nervous, and weak. Then I scurry off with embarrassment because I am indeed a shy lady, to [dream of my encounter tonight] and {to hope I cross his path again}. I am weird. Yeah

Have seen lots of hinted or actual anguish over being in, or even entering, relationships, it got me thinking. Setting aside women/men who sleep around with no concerns, who may be in a sort of catbird's seat, how about more traditional souls? Is there much old fashioned worrying about the risk of having sex early in a friendship, and perhaps having it end? Feelings of being used? Low self esteem? Or just plain old horniness, with confusion? Other issues? None at all? How much does emotion enter sex for some?
