How exactly is Israel stealing land? They gave up the entire Egyptian Sinai to Egypt for peace, that they won in a defensive war.

They gave up every inch of Gaza in the hopes for peace, and got Hamas and rockets instead of peace.

The Germans started and lost WW 2. Russia and Poland have 'occupied' their land since 1945.
Israel was attacked at its birth in 1948, and many times since. Why are they occupying, when Russia and Poland are not? Let's be consistent. Had the Arabs not attacked, they would not be whining now. Why is there a different standard always for Israel and its little sliver of land (less than NJ) that they have developed and made bloom.

Israel accepted 850,000 Jewish refugees from Arab lands after 1948. Why haven't the Arabs with all their oil wealth and land, not absorbed the "Palestinians"? 98% of the so-called "Palestinians" are under their own rule..(need source)

Only Palestine-Nation(s) right now would be Israel and Jordan!
The rest have rejected nationhood,by rejecting Res.181!
Actually the Jews of Palestine were called Palestinians until the Founding of Israel!
In 1963 Arafat hijacked the name "Palestinian" as he did so many other things!

Some go even further:

"And regarding the land that was invaded. What land was that? British mandate? Ottoman empire? Study some old maps. The "palestinians" never had any land. There weren't even any people called palestinians before arafat invented them. In the british mandate of palestine there lived jewish palestinians, arab palestinians and christian palestinians. The descendants of the arab and christian palestinians that didn't step aside to let the arab invading army do "their job" back in 1948 still live in israel with full democratic rights and parliament representatives. (Probably the only place in the middle east where arabs enjoy full democratic rights.)
Dont' just buy into the leftist propaganda. Study some history!"(need Source)

chris27292729: You are dead right,the Palestinians never owned the land ,their goats,camels,livestock roaming this land and the people cultivating it,for 2000,never owened it.

The 'Palestinians' never did. Historical fact.

Certainly individuals did and, also some individuals tended their bosses flocks. Bosses who sold out to Jewish money when it was offered. But as a peoples, Palestinians never owned squat and their biggest chance at having a nation of their own was in 1947 and they refused it.

chris27292729: Is there any reason,just because Arabs,not accepted Res 181 ,to built settlements outside Res,181 borders? The settlements are homes for civilians not for Israel's security reasons.Therefor pressure,advandage and better leverage, in the negotiating table for Israel's expansion for more land.-

As they are surrounded on three borders by enemies who have not made peace with them, Israel maintains a ready army made up of citizens. Due to the size of the nation, they have to be able to respond in minutes, not hours to any threat hence, soldiers need to be near their base or, position of duty.

A defensive region or, place where the enemy has mounted attacks from is often denied the enemy by setting up bases. Such is the way with the Golan Heights and, in many other areas. As the Arab League has been at war with Israel since 1948 and attacked her numerous times, soldier need to be near their bases and need to live near them hence, settlements. They work where they need to be n case attacked.

When peace is declared, this can be one of the things that change. Until then, they need to stay.

wonder if this is still the plan!confused

Way back on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here's what he said:

The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism.

For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.

Interesting,isn't it?

Did I ever tell you that I was at the meeting where the Egyptian and Israeli military hashed out the details of the initial moves how they ere going to do it?

El Tasa in '79. Little out post on the cross roads of the Sinai. I manned an 84 mill on the southeast side.

Yes. Sad indeed. The gang of four (Silverbirch, Paldi, Guzzman, Chris, Mikeygr, RayfromUSA ..... and the odd anti Israel poster who has no klew) seem to become befuddled when presented with facts and wish they would present some.

So, while we await same, how are things in Switzerland, good weather this time of year?

Hamas’ Definition of Ceasefire – Two Mortar Shell Attacks

Hamas continued to uphold its version of a new “ceasefire” by firing two mortar shells at a Gaza Belt community Wednesday.

Published: 24/08/11, 8:14 AM

Hamas continued to uphold its version of a new “ceasefire” Wednesday morning by firing two mortar shells at a Gaza Belt community.

One of the mortars exploded inside the Jewish town, but no injuries or damage was reported. The second shell hit an open area.

The IDF spotted and targeted the terrorists who launched the mortars almost immediately. “Hits were confirmed.” IDF spokesmen said. The mortar attacks were launched from two separate locations in northern Gaza.

If Wednesday morning's attacks were carried out against Hamas’ orders, they show the inability of Hamas to control Gaza. On the other hand, if Hamas coordinated the firing of the mortar shells, the international community may not be able to continue to turn a blind eye. Israel filed a formal complaint Tuesday to the United Nations following continued rocket attacks from Gaza.

This week’s announcement by Hamas of a “ceasefire” was in line with numerous statements in the past of a cessation of hostilities, only to be followed by what usually are short-range Kassam rocket and mortar shell attacks.

The firing at Israeli communities often is carried out by other terrorist groups, some of them rivals of Hamas and others working in coordination with the terrorist organization.

One example is the Salahuddin Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) that announced a “temporary” halt to firing rocket fire. The PRC ostensibly is independent of Hamas but is funded and supported by it, according to the IDF.

Abu Ataya, spokesman for the PRC, said Tuesday that the “temporary” halt did not mean a ceasefire and that “resistance” would continue.

INFORMATION THAT ISRAELIS ALL KNOW, AS THE ROCKETS ARE NOW VERY REGULAR

How would you Israel-haters like to live like this barf

_____________________________

Correct behavior during rocket and mortar attacks

Correct behavior in the face of daily threats saves lives!

How to recognize an event?

When you hear an alert siren, a sound of an explosion or a “Tzeva Adom” warning.

How to prepare your home and family.

Due to the short warning time, it is important to establish in advance where you are going to take shelter during a rocket attack. As the first priority, choose a MAMAD (apartment protected space) or a private bomb shelter. If no MAMAD or private shelter are available, choose a protected room which complies with the Home Front Command guidelines. Make sure all members of the household are familiar with your chosen protected space. It is important to select a protected space at any location you spend time in, to perform family preparations and to prepare an emergency bag. The protected space must be equipped according to the guidelines.

The threat

The main threat against the Israeli home front is from rocket and mortar attacks.
On the eve of the Gulf War, many countries discovered that the war has expanded from the front lines to the civilian rear.
The IDF Home Front Command have developed guidelines for the residents’ behavior upon hearing the sound of an alarm or an explosion. Compliance with these instructions will significantly reduce any damage that may be caused by a rocket or mortar attack against the Israeli home front.

How to behave during an event?

If you are indoors:

Enter the MAMAD immediately and close the steel window shutter.
In the absence of a MAMAD:

Enter the room farthest from the direction of the threat, with the smallest possible number of outside walls, windows and openings;
Close the door and the windows;
Sit on the floor (below the windowsill level) and lean against an interior wall. Do not sit in front of windows;
Upper story residents in a building with no MAMAD, are required to exit to the staircase and descend one floor down. A protected room can be a staircase or a corridor (provided they comply with the above conditions more than other rooms in the house).

If you are outdoors:

In a built-up area – enter the nearest building and act according to the instructions for persons taking shelter indoors;
In an exposed area – lie on the ground face-down and cover your head with your hands.

If you are traveling:

Stop by the side of the road, leave the vehicle and enter the nearest structure or cover. If you are unable to reach a structure or shelter within the given period of time, lie on the ground face-down and cover your head with your hands. If neither of the above instructions can be complied with, pull over and remain inside the vehicle for the next 10 minutes.

Following the event:

After 10 minutes, you may leave the protected area, unless another otherwise instructed. Stay clear of unidentified objects. Should you see a rocket lying on the ground, prevent gathering of bystanders and inform the security forces.

Can I ask why people feel the need to post videos or links of other peoples opinions to try and prove a point??? Do those people not have opinions of their own? Are they nor intelligent enough to put their own views and thoughts forward so they have to latch on to a statement or speech by another person?

And again these people are now calling anyone who has a different opinion on the situation in the Middle East "Israel Haters". I just find it so immature and schoolyard language really.

One last thing alos. Can these people also refain from calling their opinions fact. Just because an opinion is on the internet in black and white does not make it fact!
