Downside: Culturally lobotomised. Appetite, greed and excess mean so much to America because people don't. You have no sense of your own and stuff fills the void where culture would be.

well, we also have Chinese restaurants run by Chinese, Italian run by Italians, kebabs and so on... We don't need millions of them to enjoy their food...

I know what you meant and I agree completely - however, we do not have time to wait for another 200 years for Muslims to realize it is not possible to live in the 7th century. I believe we should make those living in our countries treat their religion the same way we do "ours" - the religion belongs to your home, do there what you want, cover your women,pray....but no such BS in the public.
The politicians should be forced to take at least 4,5 immigrants into their own houses, camps should be built in their posh neighbourhoods - maybe then they will stop ridiculing those that feel threatened.

i hear what your saying too but i just don't know how "no such bs" can be enforced. they'll win everytime, at least here in the states because it would infringe on their human rights. the only other way to enforce is to cause them pain of some sort, and i don't mean physical. perhaps, in the pocketbook, but that would be discrimination. at the end of the day, they have to be willing to change and it must be of their own free will.

We are not like America, someone else's land invaded by whoever wants, a mixture of anything from the world...
They don't have the problem to embrace the equality and feel as they belong to this land, it was their choice. Because they are all immigrants.
But Europe is different, we are all unique, we have centuries of rich history and art, we can not just suddenly become one big grey spot...it will be a crime...
