chris27292729: You have NO rights to have bases in Cyprus or anywhere in the world. The Spaniards are in motion to kick you out of Gibraltar. So the turn of Cypriots for a good kick in the butt, is going to follow next.
No chance on any of those scores, the Greeks have no influence in Gyprus, the Bases are ours in perpetuity, by agreement with the legitimate Cyriot government. Gey your facts straight, I would say go back to school, but I don't think you went there in the first place
On "Real Time" on Friday, Bill Maher weighed in on the argument that the U.K.'s withdrawal from the European Union was, in part, a "xenophobic" reaction to a wave of Muslim immigration into Europe.
"I hear a lot of talk today about xenophobia," Maher said. "Is it really phobia if you have something to be afraid of?"
Maher explained that many Muslims hold beliefs that do not conform with Western values, pointing to a recent study that found 52 percent of British Muslims believe being gay should be illegal.
He added that many Muslims see women as second-class citizens and treat them as such.
Maher said that even most people who disagree with him on this issue acknowledge that Islam needs a reformation.
Unfortunately, he said, moderate Muslims are afraid to speak out because of "violent intimidation."
"And every time somebody says 'Islamophobia,' it gives the people who are intimidating cover."

i actually thought that this was a main reason for the leave vote.
what i'm wondering now, if this was indeed a main reason, is how gb is going to try and control the influx of muslims to continue to immigrate to their country...
epirb: break out the violins for Osborne don't know the tune for walking the plank , spose he can be poked with the bows .http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3658842/The-end-George-Osborne-Chancellor-set-walk-axed-gambling-political-career-Project-Fear.html he should be able to get a job working for Merkel and be awarded the Iron Cross .
After the way Slime ball Osborne and Sham moron caused war between the genuine disabled and other benefits claimers the gas chamber would be a better idea for both - someone in Merekelland's pocket already go a contract to build one not far from Auschwitz.

I have trouble getting my head around the size of the deception by those that have claimed to have the UK's interests at heart . The ethics of these people is pathetic .

Why not beat Merkelland to it... and build one in Your backgarden?
MikeD12: Was that in the early 60's ? Did he know a Captain Tony "Pongo" Dixon, by any chance?
. He was there from 1958 l think, sadly after so many safe jumps from aircraft and fighting in Cyprus he was killed in a car accident by an idiot in June 1967.

Ah sorry to hear about that - Tony was my late brother in law, attached to 43 Squadron in Cyprus in the early 60's, when I first met my late wife.

I have watched a TV crew interviewing people on the street - everyone said the main reason for voting out was immigration from Muslim countries. I am also curious what the UK will do to stop the Muslims - well, not accepting Merkel's ridicuous quota is a start although it is a very little step forwards in terms of numbers.

The prime minister and chancellor of the exchequer leave by october, and a general election soon after that, all bets are off, the british people changed their destiny.
