allthegoodnamest: The people voted Brexit because enough is enough.. No more jumping on the "gravy train" for the Eastern Europeans & the consequences will be an uncertain economy for the short term but in the long term , Britain will prosper...
Britain may be the first to exit but I doubt we will be isolated, as I can see many countries leaving in the near future, until the European Union crumbles & everyone reclaims their sovereignty.

I agree allthegoodnames, UK is doing what they need to do for their own survival and have every right to do so... This whole idea of anyone being able to wander in is nuts. Do you really think other countries will leave? Anyway, I completely support UK decision. just my .02 cents

You missed it Sweetie, l never meant that.

English people do not like to work, my company placed ads. in the UK for 10 people in total, the job was live-in with all meals and a £1000 per month, a young lad of 19 left a bad comment about it being small money. I posted in reply to Mike that we wanted carpenters and they wanted £22 an hour when all other ads. were for £16.50 so we will never employ English.

Well, Yubba,
not all Brits are like that, and if such things happen, it is the system that made it possible...
But as everyone can see now, it all comes with a massive cost of losing your identity and your abilities.
Where do you see your home land in ten-twenty years if it wasn't for the Brexit?

do you really want to know, or just wanting a debate?laugh

Honestly mostly because I believe they have the right to make the decision as I alluded to in my response to allthegoodnames. They are a sovereign nation. They have the right to decide if they want their own currency, and to control their borders.

Otherwise I am no economist I do not know the details of the economic situation. I just believe in their right to their sovereignty (whether exit is right or wrong , it is theirs to decide). How that works between England Ireland and Scotland, they will have to resolve.

Thanks TCwave I wonder if this is really a debate between the haves and have nots (wanting more and more), or is it a cultural debate?

It's the result of many grievances, they(the establishment) just marginalised the ordinary man ordiarily the ordinary man would fall in line, but they forgot the British Dunkirk spit, we kicked backgrin

One day l will share the "Cherries in a bowl" story with you. it is not my land anymore l am away 27 years l have no rights there now, not even a right to live, l am one that could not come back and live off of the State, so the UK is finished, broken and lost. I think the people that voted are those that see too many foreigners getting away with things and it was their way of giving the finger to the government. It will not change for a long time because no one in power has the balls to stand up and clean the place up. Enoch Powell would have done.

Our prime minister said that our country is ready to give Bulgarian citizenship to all the Brits who have properties and live permanently here, so they don't have to worry about Europe treating them like outsiders.
How nice... cheers

Of course, Trump is celebrating and claiming that the Brexit came about because of his call for building the wall and banning Muslims. Also, Watch the video... and take a look at the faces of his children in the photos... they always look so disgusted with their father's comments.. Trump is a disgrace to America. He is only thinking of making money off his investments, this is awful!

Donald Trump has praised the post-Brexit collapse in sterling claiming he will cash in on tourists visiting his Scottish golf resort.
The presidential candidate praised the decision by voters in England and Wales to reject the European Union, seemingly unaware that Scotland voted heavily in favour of remaining.
Trump revelled in the collapse in sterling which hit a 30-year low against the dollar as the markets made huge profits at the growing uncertainty....

I don't see the Pound collapsing...in fact the rates here are very slightly lower.
Pound has been much cheaper years ago, and much more expensive too, so, no panic, please...
Brexit was unexpected by many, yeah, so better watch out in November...

The exchange rate is about 1.212 euro to £1, it has been lower within the last 12 months and is still very acceptable to holiday makers.

Me thinks there is scare mongering and lies afoot to cause panic.

THere is nothing to panic about.
