tomcatwarne: The exchange rate is about 1.212 euro to £1, it has been lower within the last 12 months and is still very acceptable to holiday makers.

Me thinks there is scare mongering and lies afoot to cause panic.

THere is nothing to panic about. The sky is not falling.

It's 1.24 here in Portugal. It was 1.27 last Wednesday, not a lot of difference, its been worse.

Mike, l sold a plot of land here in the Algarve last week for 1,500€ it has 900m2 and the owner has already a plan for a 100m2 house and he is going to spend 25,000€ in all. In Spain l have 12,000m2 for £11,000 and you can build 400m2 on 2 floors or put a 100m2 house for 19,000€.

It's cheap as chips here and all services are close by, no one need spend a fortune to live in the Sun in peace too.

The governor of the Bank of England has stepped forward to calm financial markets after the Brexit vote sent the pound to its lowest level since 1985 and at one point wiped £120bn off the value of Britain’s leading shares.

not everyone can be good at economics and contemporary politics. but could improve however with a visit to a library, or even the internet.

Good luck.

world is flat. !
